奥地利音乐家莫扎特，15岁时他为创作一首曲了，连续三晚都在寒冬中伏案创作，手指冻得通红，也只是呵一口气暖和暖和又继续创作。这首历经艰辛的曲子最终却淘汰了。但他却没有被失败打败。他重拾信心，努力创作，最终成功。如果当初莫扎特听见自己的艰辛创作的作品竟然被淘汰了，这首他呕心沥血，历经三晚的曲子竟然没有得到评委的认可时，开始对自己感到不自信，感到怀疑，放弃了自己在音乐创作上的努力，那么他现在一定还是不知游历在哪儿，无人知晓的莫扎特，而不是家喻户晓的著名音乐家。

因此，我们在失败、挫折时不能灰心丧气，要有面对的勇气，努力继续坚持，才能接近成功、获得成功。

坚持就是挑战自我，不断进取的努力。

毛毛虫要蜕变成五彩斑斓的蝴蝶要经历破茧之苦，当它苦苦挣扎在茧之间时，若它不努力挑战自我，害怕痛苦，那么它永远不会蜕变成蝶。

要讲到成功把握机遇的例子有很多。就讲讲国外的吧，牛顿是一名伟大的物理学家，是一名“巨人”他因为一一个苹果而引出了万有引力，给人们带了了更新的研究和知识。一个苹果的落地就能追溯到万有引力，但为什么这个发现迟迟没有人发表呢?我想肯定有很多人有这样被苹果砸的一个经历!但多数被砸后想的却是，脑袋痛，或者真好运有苹果吃!又有多少人会像牛顿那样去思考苹果为什么会掉下来呢。牛顿他之所以可以成功的发现万有引力，因为他脑袋里有不断思考的思维。他这种思维和他打下的物理学基础和平常善于思考的习惯是有管的。正因为有这样过硬的基础，他才能把握好机会!沿着一个苹果一直追溯到万有引力的最深处!正因为他有颗可以把握机遇的大脑，他才可以如此的成功。所以机遇是成功的关键，但如果没有把握机遇的能力，也那也只能错失良机了。

还有一位军事伟人，他的名字叫拿破仑。波拿巴。法国18世纪政治家，军事家法兰西第一帝国和百日王朝皇帝。可他原来只是一个小小的尉级炮兵军官，是什么的机遇让他成为震惊世界的皇帝?

原来，在进攻土伦的战役中，他的长官在面对土伦坚固的防守而感到犯难的时候，拿破仑就抓住了这次机会向长官提出了他的作战方案，他的长官感觉他的方案很有新意，所以就任命拿破仑去攻打土伦，并提升他为少校!在战场上，拿破仑借助他那过硬的战场知识和过人的胆识!一路高歌猛进，一举攻破土伦的防御!他也在次战役中一举成名。为他后来叱咤风云，登上权力顶峰奠定了基础。拿破仑在战场上善于发现问题，并作出合理的作战方案，并等待机遇的出现，只要机遇一出现，他便立马抓住，绝不放手!正因为他准备充分，他才能借助机遇而一举成名!他的成功不只是抓住机遇，而是他懂得机不可失失不再来的道理。所以他早有准备，一举抓住机遇，才有最后的成功。

所以机遇是造就一个人成功的首要因素，但是否能抓住且利用机遇又是另一个重要的因素。想要成功两者缺一不可!
