我生活在素有“泉城”、“泉都”之称的山东省省会城市――济南。

济南是著名的名泉之都，泉水当然是名不虚传，七十二名泉中，计有：“趵突泉。该泉亦有“槛泉”、“娥英水”、“温泉”、“瀑流水”、“三股水”等名,与千佛山、大明湖并称为济南三大名胜。还有百脉泉, 以泉水众多而有"小泉城"之称，明水泉群最著名的百脉泉可与趵突泉齐名。池底涌出数不清的水泡，缓缓地浮上水面，好像滚动的珍珠，有"百脉寒泉珍珠滚"之美称。还有一个闻名天下的黑虎泉，黑虎泉因其声、色特点而得名。泉源处于悬崖下一深3米、高2米、宽1·7米的深邃天然洞穴中。水清澈见底，寒气袭人。洞口由青石垒砌，内有巨石盘曲伏卧，上生苔藓，犹如猛虎深藏。泉水从巨石下涌出，湍击岩石，发出震天的鸣响。这就是济南最出名的三大名泉。虽然现在七十二名泉有些已经干涸，有些也已经失去了踪迹，但是，人们还是向往着济南，向往着七十二名泉。清代的王苹曾写过这首诗，赞美济南的美景：“湖干烟乱柳毵毵，是处桃花雨半含。七十二泉春涨暖，可怜只说似江南。”

I am in primary school now, and I like my campus so much. The first time I

walk in the school, I am attracted by its beautiful scenery. There are so many

green trees and colorful flowers around. The environment here is so lively. So

many students do the sports in the playground. The comfortable environment makes

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology

(NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During

the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among

Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to

narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and

Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It

is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled

a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This

was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and

experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research

interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research

(especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid

system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.
