我认为，第一是心态的问题，亦即态度问题。第二是尺度问题。

心态是指一个人对时下环境和事物的一种内在的心理认可。心态决定态度，态度决定行动，行动影响结果。同一个单位，相同的岗位，有的人是领导，有的人就是职员。当领导的不要失去自信，更不要失去“人性”。不要和人生分了，别把自己定位的太高，其实有时自己真的不一定就比别人高明多少，只是较别人担当了许多。拿这样平和的心态去工作，你就会态度端正，听得进话，亲和力强，人缘好，“贵人”多，遇事不慌。那么被领导者呢，心里不要不平衡。即使对那个领导的升职和能力有疑惑，那也得承认这是他的长项，那也得承认现实，总不能不与之相处。既然从属关系已定，就得心态平稳，去适应这种“环境”。就要准备为自己当好下属，而不能拆台，使绊子，拉帮结派，当搅屎棍，耍不光明的手段，把自己置于肮脏的境地。再说，有此种宵小行为的人也从侧面证明自己确实不是个“大人”，干不了大事。今天的属下关系都是自己一步一步走出来的，别怨天尤人。再说，当不好下属的人，怎么会有能力当好领导呢？当上领导了也未必就是个好领导，也未必当的舒心。所以，无论是当领导还是当下属，都要心平气和，进而态度端正，唯有这样，才能荣辱不惊而“闲庭信步”。

最后，就是尺度问题。

当领导，既要“亲民”，又不能等同一般；既讲原则，又会变通；既能低头听取意见和建议，又能统筹和驾驭全局；既要凡事走在前面，又能团结和领导属下……被领导者，既要会配合工作，又不媚上；既要有自我，又不越位做事……所有这些，只要心无它念，剩下的就是个“尺度”把握的问题。尺度问题说白了就是素质、经验和智慧的问题。尺度不好把握，它与经验阅历有关，与分析问题透彻与否有关，与语言措辞的运用能力有关，与习惯性格有关。总的说与你自身的性格、修为和素养有关。所以说，不管当领导还是做下属，只要心态好，态度端正，累积经验，提高言谈能力，做事分寸把握得当，你就能当好下属，做好领导，扮演好自己的角色。
