柳子庙是柳宗元纪念馆。柳宗元在永州住了十年，写下了“永州八记”。柳子庙里有柳宗元的雕像，还介绍了柳宗元在永州做出的贡献，以及他写的文章等。我背过他写的古文《捕蛇者说》和《小石潭记》，不过，现在忘得差不多啦!

从柳子庙出来，沿着愚溪，我们来到了钴姆潭。钴姆潭因柳宗元“永州八记”第二篇《钴姆潭记》而闻名。钴姆，古时熨斗的称呼，因为潭形像熨斗，故名钴姆潭。爸爸扶着，我们沿着陡峭的小路，来到潭边。潭水很清，潭底的长满了绿油油的水草，水草顺着水势摇摆，像一条条绿色的丝带。

我们走呀走呀，来到了西小丘。西小丘约400平方米，因柳宗元“永州八记”第三篇《钴姆潭西小丘记》而闻名。该丘“梁之上有丘焉，生竹树。其石之突怒偃蹇，负土而出，争为奇状者，殆不可数。”西小丘有一片竹林，走进去令人心旷神怡。

过了西小丘，就来到了小石潭。小石潭的水依然那么清澈，却见不到底，因为被水草覆盖了，柳宗元写的“近岸卷石底以出，为坻为屿，为勘为岩”的景象不见了。潭中没有鱼，柳宗元“往来翕乎，似与游者相乐”的乐趣，我也体会不到了。

“永州八记”的其他景点我们没有去，有点遗憾。
