how i spent my summer vacation

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them. then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.

刚放假的时候，心情是无比兴奋的，以为可以不用读书，66无虑地玩两个月。第一、二个星期，每天躲在房间里上网，除了三餐时间，白天都在楼上。从第三个星期开始，就觉得在家很无聊，整天对着电脑发呆。没有同学、老师在身边，听不到朗朗的书声，周围的一切事物都变得无趣，慢慢觉得空虚。

一个月还不曾过去，就开始盼望着开学，回忆着与同学们在一起的快乐时光，便觉得时间好漫长，从来没有觉得时间如此漫长。

第二个月，听妈妈的话跟着姐姐去了她就读的工业大学，去那边学习，补课。心中想着，或许这样时间会过得稍微快些，就当作是消磨时间。大学的面积很大，有4座桥，3个食堂，2家超市，1个图书馆，游泳馆，眼镜店，书店，理发店，报刊亭…让人感到奇怪的是，还有一个幼儿园。我白天在图书馆写作业，看书，晚上在寝室上网。每天可以去超市买零食，每个星期可以去校外吃冷饮，一个月可以逛街3次，表现好还可以去看电影。一开始我以为大学生的生活是很悠闲的，后来才发现要做调查报告，写征文，每天还是很忙碌的。大学生活还算不错，比较有意义，会是一个美好的回忆。

暑假终于即将过去，终于又可以看到可爱的同学们了!

夏天终于又到了，暑假当然也来了，夏天!有些人都喜欢躲在冷气房里不想出门流汗，但是，大家不出门，就不会有新发现，我想推荐大家到海南这个好地方，那里除了美丽风景之外还有很多海滩。

海滩可以让我尽情玩水、堆沙堡、冲浪、玩水枪战……也发生一些很有趣的事，我和爸爸最喜欢的是“跳浪”，就是等浪一波波来了，再一一跳过去，有几次戏水时我还不小心喝到海水呢!我当时心里想着：“海水真鹹!难怪遇难时一样是水，可是却不能用。”浪来的时候，有层层叠叠蓝色的大浪还有白色的小浪真是美极了!大浪是在冲过来时没有破碎变成白白的浪花，它来时会让人有股被拖走的感觉，那小浪冲过来时，常常已经变成浪花啦!所以脚只要轻轻一点，小浪就被我踩平了。

在海滩中还可以认识一些生物，例：寄居蟹、海鸟、河豚、螺类……，可惜的是寄居蟹已经不常见到了，而且加上人类常常乱丢垃圾、常常捡贝壳，所以寄居蟹才没有家。我曾经看过一篇报导，是说寄居蟹因为没有壳，只好乱捡地上的啤酒瓶盖来用，请想像一下我们台湾的美丽海滩中，看到一堆背着奇奇怪怪的盖子在身上的寄居蟹，实在很可怜啊!所以，大家在海滩玩时一定要注意爱护环境，才不会让以后的人误以为寄居蟹是长那个样子的。

海滩虽然很好玩，新闻却常说有人因为去了没有救生员的地方，没有人管理的海水浴场玩乐而溺水，再也见不到家人，那时家人一定很难过，去海滩时千万要记住的是——“注意安全”，不要让暑假趣事变成憾事。

这天是暑假第一天，我刚从睡梦中醒来，迷迷糊糊地抓起手表一看，可把我吓醒了：不可能的阿，怎样会已经十点半了呢?我揉揉眼睛一看，果然是十点半，那手表上的表针“滴滴答答”地走着，仿佛在嘲笑我似的，我无奈地起了床。

人生中有许多的事情，但令我感触最深的是暑假中的那件事。

那天下午我去公园里玩，不一会儿草丛里冒出一只刚生出来的小猫。它的毛是黑色的，一直在喵喵直叫，好像在说你好。我仔细端详着这只小猫，突然一只小狗冒了出来，小狗对着小猫怒气冲冲的直叫，小猫吓坏了，撒腿就跑。小狗急追不舍，眼看小狗就要咬到小猫了，我赶忙从草丛里找出一根树枝向小狗追去。小狗见状视乎明白了什么灰溜溜的离开了。我抚摸着小猫，轻轻的对它说："没关系，现在坏狗已经走了，你不用再害怕了。”我把小猫抱起来放回草丛中对它说：回家吧，和你的家人团聚吧！”小猫用舍不得的眼神看着我，其实我的心理也舍不得它。但它是属于大自然的，我不应该把它抱回去，它也有自己的`爸爸妈妈。我悄悄地离开了。

暑假生活，有快乐、有烦恼、有寂寞……尤其在杭州双溪漂流的那一段经历最让我觉得妙趣横生。天还没完全亮起来，我们就集合了，跟随导游去双溪漂流。一路上，我们说说笑笑，不知不觉就到达目的地双溪大峡谷。

下了车，我迫不及待地跑去呼吸山水间新鲜的空气。远处的山，绿得像水墨画一样，还没等我细细欣赏这人间美景，导游便催着我们检票出发了。

从检票处到皮筏漂流出发点有一段距离，我们选择乘坐竹海牛车。在车上，我们一边看着湖上别人漂流，获取经验，一边欣赏着路旁优美的景色。两旁的竹林郁郁葱葱，恰似一个偌大的森林氧吧。

下了牛车，我们换好救生衣准备漂流。开始漂流了，我和妈妈握着船桨，可无论我怎么用力去划，那船好像和我们作对似的总在原地打转，丝毫没有前进，急得我满头大汗。后来，经过别人的船上师傅提醒，我们才知道原来是我们两边用力不均匀，皮筏才在原地打转。我和妈妈又试了一下，果然成功了。皮筏在我们的配合下缓慢地向前行进。

一路上，湖水深的地方，深不见底，湖水浅的地方清晰得一眼就能看见下面的鹅卵石。绿绿的水草随着水波慢慢地荡漾着。水流缓慢的地方，我们轻松地划着;水流湍急的地方，我们就偷懒把船桨架在皮筏上。大约三百米处，有一个小型瀑布，工作人员用竹篙帮我们把皮筏挂上去，然后大声喊着“一、二、三”……说完，就把我们推了出去，实在是太刺激了。

The Giant Panda has a very distinctive black-and-white coat. Adults measure around 1.5 m long and around 75 cm tall at the shoulder. Males can weigh up to 115 kg (253 pounds). Females are generally smaller than males, and can occasionally weigh up to 100 kg (220 pounds). Giant Pandas live in mountainous regions, such as Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Tibet. While the Chinese dragon has been historically a national emblem for China, since the latter half of the 20th century the Giant Panda has also become an informal national emblem for China. Its image appears on a large number of modern Chinese commemorative silver, gold, and platinum coins.

The Giant Panda has an unusual paw, with a "thumb" and five fingers; the "thumb" is actually a modified sesamoid bone, which helps the panda to hold the bamboo while eating. Stephen Jay Gould wrote an essay about this, then used the title The Pandas Thumb for a book of essays concerned with evolution and intelligent design. The Giant Panda has a short tail, approximately 15 cm long. Giant Pandas can usually live to be 20-30 years old while living in captivity.

Until recently, scientists thought giant pandas spent most of their lives alone, with males and females meeting only during the breeding season. Recent studies paint a different picture, in which small groups of pandas share a large territory and sometimes meet outside the breeding season.

Like most subtropical mammals, but unlike most bears, the giant panda does not hibernate.

the campus life. Now I have been in middle school, after seven years’ study, I

feel the bitter and happiness. The bitter is that there are always exams,

sometimes I can’t do well. Every time when I get the low mark, I will be afraid

of disappointing my parents. The happy thing is that I make many friends here.

We play and study together. They are just like the brothers and sisters to me.

This is the process of growing up, which mix pain and happiness. I am so lucky

to have these friends in my life, they mean so much to me.
