The Chinese New Year has a great history. In our past, people lived in an agricultural society and worked all year long. They only took a break after the harvest and before the planting of seeds. This happens to coincide with the beginning of the lunar New Year.

The end of the New Year is marked by the Festival of Lanterns, which is a celebration with singing, dancing and lantern shows.

At the Festival, all traditions are honored. The predominant colors are red and gold. "Good Wish" banners are hung from the ceilings and walls. The "God of Fortune" is there to give Hong Baos. Lion dancers perform on stage continuously. Visitors take home plants and flowers symbolizing good luck. An array of New Years specialty food is available in the Food Market. On the weekend I like to spend time in library. I like reading books. There

are many people in the library, but it is very quiet. Nobody talks in the room,

对于阳光，就好像一触即破的薄纱，不敢去触碰，怕一不小心就捅个大洞，每次鼓起勇气伸出手，快到碰到时，有立刻将手收起来，害怕?担心?反正不知为什么，我始终无法鼓起勇气，“你需要勇气，去接触阳光!”直到有一天，一只蝴蝶不小心打破了纱纸，出现了一个小洞。霎那时，一束强烈的光射进来，让我无法睁开眼，很迫切的希望知道光明是什么，一声啼叫后，泛起鱼鳞的天空中放射出一阵阵柔和的阳光，让我慢慢睁开了眼，一切都那么新，一切都那么亮。我去问花儿：“你为什么伤心?”“不，这是我辛勤劳动后喜悦的泪珠!”我去问人们：“你们喜欢阳光吗?”“为什么不呢?”我诧异了，为什么…………从他们缓缓的笑意中，我似懂非懂地眨了眨眼，试着慢慢张开双臂，起感受阳光，深深吸了一口气，闻见另一种清凉的芳香。哦，这一切是阳光带来的吗?怪不得呢，我轻轻脱下了原来沉重的枷索，开始随着上升的水珠一起漫天飞舞。

西湖是一幅美丽的图画，很像有人画出了西湖，西湖春、夏、秋、冬都风景如画。

西湖在春季时，最引人注目，就连匆匆忙忙、跑来跑去的春风，也要停下来，拿出了一把最绿的梳子，好好给杨柳妹妹梳梳头;柳树的枝条向春天摇来摇去，原来，是为了谢谢春天。桃花见春天来了，笑红了脸。春天又清除了湖上的脏东西，这下，湖水变得无比干净，像一面大镜子，柳树照见了自己美丽的身影，小鸟喳喳叫着，仿佛也在夸奖湖水呢!

在夏季，阳光很大，照在湖上，让湖水受不了，荷叶见了，赶紧拿出雨伞，遮住阳光，湖水仿佛说：“快下来躲一躲吧!”荷花可不怕热，在荷叶间捉迷藏。可真是“接天莲叶无穷碧，映日荷花别样红”。

在秋季，岸边的桂花十里飘香，枫叶飘来飘去，好像一枚枚邮票，邮来了丰收的歌吟;一只只小船划过湖面，一道道波纹漂向岸边，湖水也很欢迎它们。

冬天时，湖岸上有一朵朵梅花钻出枝头，还有一阵阵欢笑声，原来是小朋友在打雪仗;大树披上了一件白色的大衣，好像也怕冷，西湖上结了冰，也开始了冬眠。

西湖风光真好啊，无论是下雨晴天，风景都很美!

小时候，我喜欢在夏天傍晚的时候和母亲去散步，那是一种享受。母亲很喜欢散步，一天不出去走走就睡不着，坐不住。

我们每次散步都会穿过一片种满秧子、麦子、油菜的田地。我讨厌那些嗡嗡的小蚊子，一大片一大片挡住我的视线，但我喜欢那里浓浓的麦香味儿，油菜花味儿，这一切都象征着夏天的到来。

是的，再往前走走，路边还会有野花儿。我顺手摘了两朵，一朵插在我的头发上，另一朵则将它插在母亲头上。她的头发少之又少，还有几根白发，弄了许久才固定好。

我拉着她的手一起走在田野的路边上。咦?这是啥?有点膈手，举起她的手，有那么些许黄晕的光照在手心，那是茧巴，干活留下来的?我没有声张，慢慢将手放下去。

母亲说：“哎哟，你们这些小娃娃呢，手儿才嫩噢，哪像我们的手哇!”原来，母亲注意到了我的举动。和我们一起散步的邻居也笑了，还看了看我这“小嫩手”。

我想，她们以前也有像我这样让人羡慕的小手，长大后，为人妻，为人母，慢慢地开始操心家里的事了，没有时间顾得上自己。“你们的手这样，也还是劳动来的，手上的茧巴是勤劳的象征嘞!”我笑着对母亲说，母亲被我的话逗笑了。

我们继续走着，很赶巧——“卖桃子咯，又大又甜噢，不甜不要钱咯!”路边摆摊的大叔吆喝了起来，那声音，大得很。

母亲看到我那馋猫样子，就会给我买几个，那桃子很甜，很甜。我叫母亲尝尝，她却说她不喜欢吃，其实啊，她哪里是不想吃，不喜欢吃?只是留给我吃罢了。而我喜欢用杀手锏——直接喂在她嘴里，说：“你都吃了一口了啊，要吃完，不吃就浪费咯!”母亲这才吃下桃子。

走啊走啊，天黑了，是时候回家了……
