After I read the book that is called “The old man and the sea” I was deeply moved by the old man and his spirit.

The book written by Hemingway tells us a story that an old man whose name is Santiago went out to do some fishing on the sea on his own but down on his luck he hadn’t caught any fish for 84 days. Next day he caught a huge marlin which is bigger than his boat and took a formidable battle with it. He beat it at the end. When he was on the way home the smells of blood of the marlin draw a lot of sharks’ attention and they fought for it. In order to protect the marlin and him the old man tried his best to fight with them. After a cruel fight he won it and came back home tiredly. Although he only got a skeleton of the giant marlin at last he is also a great hero in many people’s heart.

In the article the old man is a great man. Although he failed for many time in his life he never gave up. He is a steel-willing man who insisted his dream and work hard. You can destroy him but you can’t beat him. Whatever he faced to he would never yield to the difficult which shows a strong spirit.

In our lives I think we should learn something from the old man which will make us have a more valuable life. Whenever and wherever we meet trouble we should never give up and try our best to overcome it. We should always keep on our dream and make it come true. Every one has his backbone which can’t be bended by anyone which is very important for everyone in his whole life. If we meet difficulty in our life we should face it bravely and work out some way to solve the problem whatever would happen at last. We can be destroyed but we can’t be beat by anything or anyone. If you failed for many times in your life you wouldn’t surrender because if you try to do it you may succeed in your life but if you do not do it you would not be succeed forever. Everyone has his advantages and disadvantages in his life but we should face to our disadvantages and we must be confident which would also make us be confident of our life. We should have faith in what we do in our life we will have a more beautiful life in the future and our dream will come true. We should pay more attention to what we do during our life rather than what we will get at the end because I think it is more important than any thing you get finally. If you enjoy you life not something you get you will have a meaningful life and a noble spirit. It will hurt you when you pay more attention to what you get in the future. It will also make you do something wrong which is bad for other people our society and our country.

I’m impressed by the sentence which is “We can be destroyed but we can’t be beat.” I think everyone should do it no matter what happen in our life. This book makes me know something I didn’t know in the past. The book and the old man have a great influence in my life. I love this book.

平凡世界，平凡人生。每天清晨第一缕阳光照向大地，普普通通勤劳忙碌的人们开始了一天的辛勤的劳作。日子虽然清苦、清苦的让人感到寒酸，但在那个艰苦的日子里人们从来没有放弃对美好生活的向往，动脑子、想办法他们用自己勤劳的双手努力拼搏改变着自己的命运。

肥沃而广袤的大地上从来不缺少男人劳作的身影，他们光着膀子，挽起裤腿，被太阳晒得发黑的皮肤在汗水的映衬下发着耀眼的光。他们喊着号子个个争先恐后麻利的锄完了一块块土地，辛苦的土地劳作一点也没有难倒这帮汉子们，当他们拿起毛巾擦去额头的汗水，嘴角依然流露出幸福的微笑。仿佛今年丰收的场面就在眼前一样。

在这个貌似男人的世界里女人们一样扛起了锄头，毛巾裹头挽起了袖子一点也没有输给男人的样子。就是在男人们劳作完后会温柔的递过一碗水，只见他们端过碗仰起脖子一饮而尽后憨憨的一笑，好像是喝了蜜一样幸福甜蜜。这样平凡的场景在一次次重演,人们也就是在这样的场景里度过了一个又一个辛苦而又幸福的日子。

旧社会一直遵循着女子无才便是德的传统理念，重男轻女的思想一直很严重，很多地方一直流传着嫁汉嫁汉穿衣吃饭的顺口溜，女人们把自己的命运交给了别人，许多女性连自己的婚姻也无法自己做主，嫁鸡随鸡，嫁狗随狗，一切生杀大权都掌握在男人手中，丈夫可以胡作非为，女人却不能有半点恼怒，很多因为包办的婚姻所以没什么感情而言，稍不如意则横加痛斥，动则拳脚相见幸福二字无从谈起。这样的社会环境下广大女性无法获得学习的机会，只能整天围着锅台转，对外面的世界更是无法知晓。1949年10月1日这是一个伟大的日子。“中华人民共和国成立了”，欣欣向荣崭新的国家屹立在世界之林，工业、农业都有了长足的进步和发展，国家的妇女解放运动也进入了崭新的一页。“妇女能抵半边天”广大女性从旧思想里解放出来，去除了包办婚姻等一系列旧的思想和传统陋习，她们一样扛起锄头参加劳动、组织生产、背上书包学习文化知识。工、农、商、学、兵里都有了女性的身影。像孙少安一样拼搏有为的中华男儿有之，像田润叶一样敢爱敢恨，对自己的爱情、生活、有理想有追求的女子们更加有之。她们从此改变了自己的命运，紧紧的将命运掌握在自己手里。

回顾历史在中华泱泱五千年的历史长河里，巾帼不让须眉的女汉子自古有之，花木兰替父从军一十二载，载誉而归;花甲之年的穆桂英亲帅三军北击大辽，为大宋王朝立下了丰功伟业;民族存亡的历史时刻，中华儿女前仆后继沉重打击了日本帝国主义的侵略战争，并最终取得了伟大胜利，抗击日本侵略的历史书和人民纪念碑上亦有赵一曼、秋瑾、刘胡兰浓墨重彩的一笔。

前一段时间，电视台播放了《平凡的世界》连续剧，看着剧情挺吸引人的，这个假期有时间读了这本书。

在读这本书的过程中，我不得不一次次地停下来，慨叹书名的妙处，同时也不停地问自己，究竟什么是平凡?什么是伟大?什么是生活?

日出而作，日落而息，日复一日，年复一年，这才是生活。琐碎的矛盾纠葛，你牵着我，我绊着你，剪不断，理还乱，欲说还休，这才是生活。大起大落，大喜大悲，铭心的爱，刻骨的恨，说来无聊，但却缠绕。有喜怒哀乐，有爱恨情仇，有凌云壮志，也有颓唐消沉，这才是活生生的人，这才是生活。百折不挠，愈战愈勇，山崩地裂不皱眉，那是神话中的英雄;现实中，纵然是强者，也难免苦痛，难免挣扎，难免有“弯”的时候，但弯而不折，生活需要的就是一个“韧”字。

而现在，《平凡的世界》让我从空中回到了地面，知道了脚踏实地，知道了平凡中的伟大。

读了《平凡的世界》后，我最大的收获就是，《平凡的世界》让我能够认识到：平凡的人的平凡的生活是最伟大的，能够让我在努力奋斗的同时提醒自己保持一颗平凡的心。

《平凡的世界》，它的内容如它的名字一样，这是一个平凡的世界。几十年的时光，在路遥笔下铺展开来，没有一点的矫柔造作，没有一点为了作品而作品的嫌疑。给我们展示了一副普通而又内蕴丰富的生活图景。一个平凡人的奋斗历程，一个平凡家庭的奋斗历程，一个平凡人的成长过程，一个平凡家庭的成长过程。

读了这本书一时间思绪万千，心中有许多感想却不知从何说起。仔细思索，觉得让我最受启发的是孙少平的一个观点。

孙少平认为：即使自己的父母是百万富翁，他也不会继承父母的遗产，要靠自己的劳动去赚钱，去生活。

的确，孙少平一直在用行动证明自己的观点。起初，他宁愿在湟源的建筑工地上干活，也不愿意回双水村和哥哥一起经营砖瓦厂，因为他不想在哥哥的庇护下生活。后来他在别人的帮助下被调到铜城大崖湾煤矿工作。虽然很危险，但是他非常喜欢这份来之不易的工作。

1985年的第1天，孙少平为了救人受了伤。住院期间，妹妹的男朋友吴众平让他调到省城工作。他没有同意，出院以后又回到了大崖湾煤矿，因为他已经找到了自己生活的方向。

孙少平的思想和言行让我一生受益，最让我印象深刻的是他的那个观点。读完这本书以后我不禁想到：现在我的父母是普通老百姓，我没有办法依靠他们的地位衣食无忧的生活;假如我的父母是国家高层的领导，我也不会依靠他们的地位或者接受他们的财产。用自己的劳动去创造美好生活，这样就能体现到成就感，可以锻炼出一颗独立自主的心。

人是平凡的，又是伟大的，在相互依存的同时，要用自己的劳动去创造，从而体现出人生的意义和价值。

Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.

Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He was born in a poor family but later he became famous and rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him too.

This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist the hero is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was coming but he was wrong a group of thieves were waiting for him.

The author created a group of bad men.

Fagin an old man with a horribly ugly face and red hair was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.

Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.

Monks Oliver’s brother did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.

Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him. Actually she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow an old friend of Oliver’s father took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie Harry Maylie’s mother saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is we can’t give up we must try our best to solve it.

From Oliver Twist I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.

路遥原名王卫国，中国当代作家，生于陕北榆林市清涧县的一个农民家庭。7岁时因为家庭困难被过继给延川县农村的伯父。曾在延川县立中学学习，1969年回乡务农。1973年进入延安大学中文系学习，并开始写作。以上就是在百度上查到的路遥的生平。此外对于路遥，我们在短篇小说《在困难的日子里》里，也能捕捉到些许影子。这就是路遥，体格普通的,平凡的路遥。这也是《人生》和《平凡的世界》的作者路遥。如果按照《名人传》中对于英雄的定义，路遥可以称为英雄。生于苦难，活得平凡，勇于同生活作斗争。在他的时代农民是困难的，生活是艰苦的。多少人为了生计劳苦奔波。但是他就是在那样的环境中完成了学业，拿起了不知鼓舞了多少人的笔。在他的时代农村题材的小说如雨后春笋般席卷着大地，很多人放弃了农村题材。而他却以行动让我们明白了一句话：“声不过五，五声之变，不可胜听;色不过五，五色之变，不可胜观;味不过五，无味之变，不可胜尝”。在我们的时代有多少人放弃对知识的追求，有多少人甘于平凡。对比路遥真令我辈汗颜!

首先，让我们看一看孙少安和孙少平。本书虽然对少安描写较少，但是生活的苦难却不曾减少。首先辍学务农，接着分地被查，润叶结婚。最后 砖厂出事，发妻绝症。一桩桩，一件件接踵而至。好像生活在和他开玩笑，让他永远在奋斗，永远为生活而奔波。有时候，我觉得他的生活就像蟾蜍爬滑石，为了生活，他必须爬，努力且不放弃。否则就会跌入深渊。好在他有强健的身体，顽强的意志和真诚且善良的家人。尽管生活一次次打击这个不幸的人，他也从不放弃。因为他有一颗勇于战斗且善良的心。辍学回家务农耕是他生活的开始。千里娶妻，办砖厂是他幸福的开端。修小学，助同乡是他对生活磨难的回答。路遥用极少且简单的笔墨，描绘出一个平凡人的发迹史。小说以少平在学校的窘境为开端，以少平的视角拉开了整个故事的序幕。红梅、金波、养民都随着少平走过了平凡三部曲。红梅因为偷手绢丢失了幸福。金波因为对一个不知姓名的藏族女子产生爱情而被发回原籍。而养民更是因感情而和少平纠结。路遥用这些简单的人，为我们呈现出一幅恢弘的画卷。现在让我们看看少平吧!少平成绩优异，但是和他哥一样，辍学务农。做了一段时间民办教师之后，不得不进城揽工，由一个文人变成一个揽工汉。之后凭着晓霞的关系进入了煤矿，并打算将自己的一生与黑色的黄金紧紧相连。看了他的经历，我不由得想起了《人生》中的高加林。很大程度上他们是相似的，但是少平的过程较为踏实而绝非一步登天。不同的结果告诉我们，人的一生要脚踏实地的生活。路遥用三部的篇幅，描绘出一直读书、相信只是的人;描绘出生于贫苦、不懈奋斗的人;描绘出勇于承担、热爱生活的人。路遥写少平就是在写一个平凡人的奋斗史。他们每每的成功是少安和少平的继续，间接告诉我们少安和少平都是优秀的。

奋斗，前进。《平凡的世界》给了很多人力量，有很多人说：“在过去困难的日子里，它是我力量的源泉”。是啊!生活需要奋斗，奋斗让我们的生活充实。高考之后卸下了十年的重担。原以为高考之后自己过得会很充实、很开心。但是只有经历过才知道，那只是傻子的梦想。高考之后留下的是焦急的等待和空虚的心情。无数次回想高三的紧张和激动。抚摸着还有余热;看看一摞摞用完的演算纸;回忆着进入考场的每一步。也许高三过后我们的奋斗出现了真空期，在这个时期出现了多少手机控和微博达人啊!一个人不再奋斗，失去了方向，那么他还能做什么。词人说：“回首向来萧瑟处，归去，也无风雨也无晴”。有时候我想问，过了风雨，除去回忆风雨时的奋斗，还有什么值得让人精神一振呢!有人说将军死于最后一次战役的最后一颗子弹是光荣的。现在想想也好，真正的英雄享受的是奋斗的过程，绝非鲜花与掌声。我们之所以寂寞是因为我们忘记了奋斗，甘心臣服于现在安逸的生活。而且越是享受现在的安逸的生活，被这茧束缚的就越紧。如果还愿意在草原上驰骋;还愿意在蓝天中飞翔;在生活中尽情挥洒，那就破茧吧!

一、面向全体学生，为学生全面发展和终身发展奠定基础。

1、创设各种情景，鼓励学生大胆地使用英语，对他们在学习过程中的失误和错误采取宽容的态度。

2、为学生提供自主学习和直接交流的机会，以及充分表现和自我发展的一个空间。

3、鼓励学生通过体验、实践、合作、探索等方式，发展听、说、读、写的综合能力。

She thought that with the using of variety kinds of pesticide, especially DDTs, the village suffered enormous and irreversible damage and gradually withered and died. Soon it became just like the one described in the beginning. From her fine and smooth describing, I can even feel the groan of the town. Moreover Carson also sharply pointed out that the deep-seated cause for the environmental problem is the human’s arrogance and ignorance. So she asked people to correct the attitude toward the nature and reconsidered the developing path of human being.

Carson thought that because of the antibody and differentiation, pesticides would never be completely useful. On the contrary, those more and more poisonous medicines, because of the enrichment effect, would accumulate in humans’ body. It’s quite sarcastic that we hurt ourselves much badly while hurting the others. Then she analyzed many poisonous components in pesticides. Those are all unfamiliar names except DDT, such as chlordane, chloronaphthalene, compound 497, etc.

Those things really make me feel scared. We are on the top of the food chain, and it is such a perfect and fragile system. We human beings are just part of it and we depend on all of the creatures who stay on the lower positions. It is so hard and ridiculous to try to match the nature. Only in the state does man have a rational existence. Every species have their value to be on this world. Then no one knows what would happened if we force them to disappear. For example, let’s imagine the food chain as a meticulously made castle built by billions of little blocks and we human beings are the top one. There might be several tiny blocks on the bottom which you think is useless and dispensable. But what would happen if we take them away? Perhaps nothing happened, and perhaps the whole castle ruined.

Destruction is always much easier than recovery, not counting those incurable ones. Humans always think that we are much cleverer than the other animals, so we become more and more conceited and firmly believe that we are the king. We didn’t see that the nature is so magical and knows how to revenge. The pay back is much more violent and cruel. We need balance and order. The nature has its own rule. Our aim is to use it and live in harmony with it. The ecosystem is so delicate that even a tiny disturbance could lead an unexpected consequence, just like the butterfly effect.

At the last chapter, some scientists came up with other ways to solve the pest problem----biotic control. There is now a bly running tide of interest in chemical sterility. Those sterile insects are released and mate the normal ones so that they won’t have any larva and get extinct gradually. This solution seems to be reasonable and helpful, but thinking about it carefully, you’ll find that it is just another way to ruin the food chain castle. Not only spring, but also summer and autumn would be still and silent in the future.

It is lucky that Rachel still kept her mind clear. She didn’t agree with the way of conquering the nature. At the very end of the book, she wrote, The ‘control of nature’ is a phrase conceived in arrogance, born of the Neanderthal age of biology and philosophy, when it was supposed that nature exists for the convenience of man. Carson is a great woman and fighter. When writing the book, she was suffering from huge pain of the operation for mammary cancer. On the spring of 1964, the great woman passed away, but Silent Spring made her voice never silent.

My Feelings after reading Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights is a well-written tragedy of love. After reading the whole story, I would like to talk about the main characters of the story—Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff love each other very much, but they do not have the right attitude towards love, which leads to the tragedy.

In Catherine’s life, she made a very foolish decision---marrying to Edgar. In fact, her love for Edgar can never be compared to that for Heathcliff. In my opinion, if he really loved Catherine, he should not walk into Catherine’s life again after his disappearance. Further more, after the death of Catherine, what Heathcliff did brought agony to Catherine’s daughter, as well as his own son.

In 1872, Phileas Fogg, an English gentleman, bets 20,000 pounds that he can travel around the world in 80 days. Remember, there were no airplanes or other types of high speed travel.

One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodnecould conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodneis omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me, the nature of goodneis one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodneis to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodneis an utterly worthleperson. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodneundoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodnein humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted.
