The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance.

This days important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the lanterns. It is small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling. Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar

还记得年幼时，大人们总爱开玩笑的问爷爷。奶奶。外婆。外公谁对我最好？我会高抗的喊出爷爷奶奶，因为他们十几年前如一日的照顾我呵护我，从不说上一句怨言，在我惹他们生气时，他们也总是说孩子小，长大就好了，而过后则给我讲一些做人的道理，使我从小就了解了中国的传统美德，三德，四美，五热爱。当我在爷爷奶奶前大吼大叫时，他们会很细心的教导我，当我在爷爷奶奶面前撒娇时，他们会微笑着说我有一个长不大的孙女，当我与爷爷奶奶诉说自己学习遇到挫折时，他们更会鼓励我，让我勇敢面对；当我与朋友发生争执时，他们还会教我要学会谦让别人就是谦让自己，善待每一个人，每一颗心！

Yesterday, my parents were not home. And I had to stay at home by myself for one day and one night. I was very happy at first, because there wouldnt be anyone criticizes my behavior. I can do whatever I want. But later I felt desperate. There was nobody cook for me, asked me to do things or criticized me. I felt empty and desperate as the house is only me. When the night fell, I was afraid. The computer games or the cartoons couldn’t attract my attention. I hate living alone.

一个星期五，在热闹非凡的学校里，我正呆在宽敞、整洁的教室里津津有味地看着一本《三国演义》，当我看完“周公瑾火烧赤壁，关云长义释华容”这一回的时候，一位和我和睦相处的好朋友走了过来，看到我有这本精彩的四大名著之一，十分羡慕，问我能不能借给他。我想我反正快看完了上篇，就说：“明天你来我家拿吧。”

第二天。非常不巧，因为我们很久没出去玩了，所以我父亲要带我们去“欢乐谷”玩。因为接下来“国庆黄金周”人太多了，所以我们选择了双休日。我们全家都欣喜若狂，唯独我一个苦恼着，要不要跟家人一起去玩？如果我走的话，那个同学会觉得我不守信；如果我不去，我则会使我们全家都去不了，而且到“国庆黄金周”去的话，我们将会有半天的时间白白浪费在排队上，正在我犹豫不决的时候，爷爷走了过来，问我在烦恼什么？等全家人得知了情况后，爷爷果断地说：“看来我们全家人今天去不了了，只能在‘国庆’去了。”爷爷接着说，“我们不能失信于人，如果失去了信用，别人就永远都不信任你了。而且不守信用是一个可恶至极的缺点。”

后来，我们觉得爷爷这句话很有道理，于是就不去了。虽然很可惜，但我却从中拥有了深深的友谊和信任，所以我对爷爷这句话印象深刻，因为爷爷这句话教会了我怎样做人。

在国庆节的前几天，我们开始了数学第一单元测试。下午，当我看到了我的试卷分数是九十分的时候，松了一口气。因为九十分和八十九点五分可是不同级别的呀。当我看了一眼第三题的时候，非常不幸，我发现了一个错误。如果我告诉老师我有错误的话，就没有优秀这个称号了；但我不告诉老师的话，我就非常地不诚实了。我万分纠结。

中午回到家，我把这难题告诉了奶奶，奶奶说：“你必须交给老师看，因为荣誉不是最重要的，诚实才是最重要的。而你不诚实的话，那等你被识破时将是最大的丑陋。交吧，我说的准没错。”俗话说：“不听老人言，吃亏在眼前。”到最后我认同了奶奶的做法，我觉得奶奶说得很有道理。

奶奶说得果然没错。老师不仅没扣我分数，而且在班上还表扬了我。

这就是我的爷爷奶奶，虽然他们很平凡，但是在生活中他们教会了我做人要诚实，守信用。他们的教诲一直鞭策着我向前。在这个重阳节，我要好好地陪他们，也要孝敬他们一辈子！
