爷爷喜欢喝酒、抽烟。奶奶总唠叨喝酒、抽烟花钱又伤身。但爷爷身子硬朗得很，倒是奶奶不是腰疼就是腿疼，家里大大小小的药瓶子随处可见。爷爷揪住奶奶的小辫子，便在奶奶责备时挺直腰板，理直气壮地说：“有的人不喝酒、不抽烟，却专门吃药。不花钱，不花钱！”奶奶就会气急败坏地指着他的鼻子数落：“就你能！只准你喝酒，不准我吃药？要不是为你们操劳，我能落下这些个病？”奶奶越说越激动，委屈得就要掉下泪来，爷爷见好就收，小声地嘀咕几句，任奶奶长篇大论。

令我不解的是，奶奶走亲戚、喝喜酒得来的烟，总小心翼翼地揣在怀里。回到家中，便不动声色地拿出来扔给爷爷：“烟鬼，便宜你了！”爷爷此时总会得了便宜又卖乖，一边说：“不是不让抽烟吗？怎么亲自送来了。”一边把手伸向烟，奶奶也没好气地来一句：“真不该给你，这名烟还能换包洗衣粉呢！”而下次，奶奶又会捎回来给他。

爷爷呢，就像个老顽童，常常几句话就把奶奶忽悠得晕头转向，可他也是粗中有细，尤其对奶奶。爷爷读的书多，明白的道理也多，他从不迷信。但为了奶奶的腰腿疼痛病，他总留心着身边的土方子和所谓的神医。一有风吹草动，便劝奶奶看病，并殷勤地张罗这张罗那，可他手上这么做，嘴上却不停调侃：“神医的药，能长生不老呢！”

随着我一天天长大，心智也一天天成熟，我似乎明白了什么，有一天，我调皮地问奶奶：“爷爷年轻时怎样？”奶奶有些不好意思，别个脸去：“他能怎样？年轻时就吃饭厉害，老了喝酒厉害……”“不会吧？您说实话……”我不甘心地追问。奶奶陷入了回忆，微闭着眼，一副甜蜜的样子：“他在外做工，有好吃的总会捎回来给我，尽管他肚子饿得直叫……”我以同样的问题追问爷爷，爷爷避而不答，最后一本正经地说：“这么多年了，不能没有你奶奶。我全指着她洗衣做饭呢！”不怎么悦耳的话，也包含了他满满的爱。

我懂了，在他们的眼中，都已对方当做了自己的一部分。也许这一部分并不完美，但一年年过去，这一部分始终不离不弃。他们就像傍晚天边的残阳，纵使时间不再长久，彼此仍然是最美。
