For almost two hundred years, the White House has stood as a symbol of the Presidency, the United States government, and the American people. Its history, and the history of the nations capital, began when President George Washington signed an Act of Congress in December of 1790 declaring that the federal government would reside in a district "not exceeding ten miles square...on the river Potomac." President Washington, together with city planner Pierre LEnfant, chose the site for the new residence, which is now 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. However, not until Grover Clevelands first presidency did this unsafe practice change. He held a presidential review of the troops from a flag-draped grandstand built in front of the White House. This procession evolved into the official Inaugural parade we know today. Receptions on New Years Day and the Fourth of July continued to be held until the early 1930s.

President Clintons open house on January 21, 1993 renewed a venerable White House Inaugural tradition. Two thousand citizens, selected by lottery, were greeted in the Diplomatic Reception Room by President and Mrs. Clinton and Vice President and Mrs. Gore.

Not much is known about the earliest London Bridge although it’s location is thought to be near the present one. It is the only bridge in London that can be raised to allow ships to pass. Since the Thames is no longer used much as a trade and shipping route, the complex lifting mechanism is only used 4 or 5 times a week. My hometown, Shenzhen, is beautiful, clean and tidy. In the southern part of the country, it is a seaside city with mountains and water. Its like spring all the year round, but its not very cold in winter, and its not very hot in summer. The sky is so blue, the air is so fresh, the sky is so bright...

The mountain of Shenzhen Qifeng list, Lotus Hill, Nanshan beyond count, and small Nanshan, Wutong Mountain...... These mountains are very spectacular, one of the most famous to the number of "Lotus Hill". Lotus Hill in the north of the Shenzhen Futian District, it is not very steep and magnificent, only 106 meters above sea level, but it has a beautiful artificial lake, can be used for children, people boating fishing; it has a wide Kite Square, adult children love flying kites in the square on the lawn, watching the kite fly upwards. The mood is like a kite, fly, happy. Lotus Hill, the most famous, is a great man on the hilltop square, the statue of Grandpa Deng. Grandpa Deng, go with head high and chest out step forward. The people coming to Lotus Hill to "visit" Grandpa Deng every day are in a steady stream. I grew up at the foot of Lotus Mountain at a young age, and I was one of the regular guests. Shenzhen is beautiful, and water is beautiful. Shenzhen Haimeide fascinating! Dameisha, Idaho is the famous tourist resort. Among them, my favorite is Dameisha, where the sea is connected to the sky.
