爷爷笑呵呵的我长大了，知道讨教学问了。爷爷讲，拜年就是要向长者拜贺新年，问候生活安好。传说在古代有一种怪物，头上有犄角，血盆大口，人们叫它“年”，每年腊月三十晚上，它就会窜出山林，到村里掠食噬人，在这天人们只好把食物放在门外，关好大门，直到初一早晨“年”吃饱走后，大家才开门出来，作揖道喜，相互祝贺，后来就成了拜年。

知道了拜年的由来，我便对拜年更积极了，匆匆吃了早饭就拉着爸爸妈妈出门拜年。我跟在大人后面，遇到熟悉的长辈就喊，过年好过年好。有时候遇到不认识的，爸爸就会把我拉到面前，告诉我这是谁家的叔叔，谁家的伯伯，我也专做古人的样子，双手作揖，最厉害说着过年好，新年快乐。逗得他们直哈哈大笑还夸我真聪明。新年的第一天就在拜年中结束了。今年不光拜了年，还增长了拜年的知识。
