应该看到，救灾不仅依赖信心、勇气与团结的精神，也依赖专业的救援队伍与技术配置。尽管人人都可为救灾尽力，但在一定条件下，救灾又是一个技术活，专业性强、风险度高、劳动量大。不能不提到，中国军人又一次发挥了“钢铁长城”的作用，在艰苦的救灾条件下，作战在灾区的精锐部队充分体现出了威武之师的雄风。年轻的中国军人在灾区救援的情景，确实令人深切地感到了血浓于水的鱼水深情。
