I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. As far as the other characters in the book, I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. My little friend, Zizai, is a very naughty and cute little guy with a

hairball all over his body and round eyes. As soon as you call its name, he will

look at you. I want to take it with me wherever I go!

我一直都是一个很懒的人，早上不到9点就是不精神，可妈妈每天5点都准时叫我起床，我不肯起来时，她就一直和我说话，或者拿凉毛巾往我脸上擦，直到我睡不着为止，尽管我很不满意，但时间长了，我又得到了一样东西——毅力。

妈妈让我每天晚上做10道数学题，背英语单词，语文文字，每天做完作业还要学这么多东西，困的我直打哈欠，那也得妈妈满意了我才能睡觉。有时委屈的我直掉眼泪，但时间长了，她又给了我一样东西——坚持。

不仅仅只有宽容，自立，自尊，毅力，坚持，妈妈给我的太多太多做人的道理，她全部都引领我一步步走向成功，脚踏实地的走向成功…
