An Enlightening Night

That was really an unforgettable night.I was waiting for buses at the station.There came an old lady, who was running to catch the bus.However,she was knocked down by a bike and the rider just ran away.The first thing came to my mind was the famous Pengyu’s incident,which shocked the ethic line of our society.All of a sudden,I was in a dilemma.I worried that I may be involved in troubles if I gave a hand to the

elderly,as Pengyu’s incident was like a warning.So I was frozen.What surprised me most was that a passer-by girl,rushing across the street without hesitation,putting the old lady on her back and carrying her to a hospital nearby.At that moment,I felt so embarrassed and ashamed that I wanted to crawl a hole and never come out.She was just a student but she did something what an adult like me was afraid of.

Never in my dream did I imagine that girl could have such an impact on my view of moral obligation.From then on,I decide to help strangers who is in need without hesitation and reservation.Because only in this way can our society become more harmonious.From my perspective,that little girl teaches me a lot that night.The

conscience of the many outweighs the wicked behaviors of the few.That’s what we should keep in mind no matter what we experience.

Something interesting happened this summer. On my way home from my shopping, I noticed a fire. I called the fire department immediately. In a few minutes, the fire fighters came and started work. But, it was not easy to put out the fire, because there was not enough water. In addition, the wind was high, which made the situation worse. The fire fighters were doing their best. Chinese air pollution, which was a great threat to her health. Though her speech

had exaggerated the problem, it is true that China has faced many pollution

problems. The haze in Beijing is famous around the world, which is the

punishment for human to ruin the environment. It needs time to fix the problem,

but there is no need to deny our country. Even for the developed countries, they

have once faced such problem before. We can do something in the daily life to

Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with

Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day

dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the

kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a

single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from

the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes

up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the

newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and

cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on

a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a

It was Sunday. Our teacher Mr Zhu led us to a park nearby.Usually we go to the park to spend our holiday. But today we went there to take part in voluntary labour.

We got there at nine oclock. Mr Zhu divided us into three groups and then we began working.

the students in Group One planted trees and watered flowers. the studentsin Group Two were busy collecting litter left by the tourist. they also cleaned the benches in the park. I was in Group Three. We went to the childrens playground and cleaned all the equipment there. We worked very hard.

At about eleven we finished working. We met at the gate of the park. We all felt tired but very happy.

Zeng Qiao is one of my friends. She is a beautiful, outgoing and good-tempered girl. She smiles frequently. I think it’s her smile that makes her beauty. We live in the same dormitory, so that we always stay together, no matter going to classroom or having dinners. At first, I don’t like her very much, because she is always talking. It seems that she can’t stop open her mouth. I am a little bit quiet and introverted, so I seldom talk to others. But gradually, I find that she can have influence on others by what she says. As for me,an unforgettable experience of mine is the first time I joined the Red Cross.We took boxes,and walked on the street.We found some people on the street,then asked them to raise some money for Red Cross.At first,we were so surprised that just a few people would raise some money for Red Cross,and some people even thought we were cheat!But we werent upset.We went on and worked for the whole day.

During that day,we all felt tired but happy,because we raised much money.We looked at the boxes and smiled.
