1950年5月，国民党兵战败，在退守到铜钵村时，以查户口的名义，抓走了全村17~55岁的所有总共147名男丁到金门当兵。其中91人是以婚的。国民党这一走，使铜钵村91名妇女变成了“活寡妇”，尝尽人世辛酸。
