金色的秋天到了，美丽的桂花盛开了。

今天下午放学，我来到园子里，一阵阵芳香扑面而来，这香是多么的浓厚，多么的香甜。我不由自主地向前走了一步，这香味更浓了，啊!这是桂花香，多么今人陶醉呀!

桂花不象月季、玫瑰那样大，把叶子给压住了下玩捉迷藏的游戏。一片片叶子下面有许多小朋友。桂花树像一位少女，亭亭玉立地站在园子里，在秋天里，散发着她的魅力。碧绿的叶子非常茂盛，一朵朵黄花像一粒粒米粒点缀着绿叶，美丽极了。这美丽正如朱熹的那首《岩桂》中所描述的：“亭亭岩下桂，岁晚独芬芳，叶密千层绿，花开万点黄。”

桂花不但很香很美，还有许多用途呢!桂花可以做桂花糕、桂花茶，还可以做桂花酒呢!桂花的用途可真多。

传说嫦娥奔月时，带了一粒桂花树的种子，种在月球上，不知到那里的桂花是不是如这么香，这么美呢?

一天，长颈鹿和小兔碰面了。长颈鹿非常饥饿，于是他伸长了脖子吃起了鲜嫩的树叶，饥肠辘辘的小兔眼红了，心想：“嘁！那算什么，我一跳就能够到。”于是，兔子便用尽所有的力气往上一跳，结果还没够到长颈鹿脖子就掉了下去，不仅砸了个大坑，还变成了个猴屁股。长颈鹿看到了便哈哈大笑起来，而小兔却又羞又饿。

突然，小兔发现了一道篱笆，里边有许多鲜嫩而油亮的青草。小兔便钻了进去，美美地吃了起来，可长颈鹿使劲地伸直了脖子，既够不到高高的篱笆里的青草，又钻不进那密密的篱笆墙，只能眼巴巴地看着小兔，一边尽情享受着美味，一边得意洋洋地笑。

太阳公公把整个事件尽收眼底，他微笑着对他们说：“现在你们应该明白‘尺有所短，寸有所长’的道理了吧。我们每个人都有自己的短处，也有自己的长处。我们应该去发现并学习他人的长处，而不是去发现别人的短处而加以嘲笑和讽刺。”

小兔和长颈鹿听了这话，都若有所思地低下了头，仿佛明白了其中的道理。
