Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

局长，关于解决这些问题，我给你提出以下建议：

1、要让业主知道电是来之不易的，也是由一些风、煤，制造出来的，要让电在人们心中的地位增高。

2、让你们电力局的工作人员们印一些条幅比如“电也是地球上的一种资源。”“如果没有了电我将回到原始生活”这些条幅，每一家小区的物业上都挂成这个。

3、晚上我们困的时候可以先把灯关住，把手机关住，然后再睡觉。

现在，全球都在宣传倡导低碳生活，随着知识的增多，我渐渐懂了，知道低碳是为了保护地球，为了保护我们的家园，于是，我也开始了低碳生活。

一天早上，我起床发现：客厅的灯竟然一夜未关，连忙伸手把灯关了。心想：爸爸妈妈真粗心啊!睡觉前竟忘了关灯，真不好。又浪费了很多电，真可惜。我得马上去劝爸爸妈妈，让他们做一个像我一样低碳的人。

爸爸妈妈刚起来，我大声地指着灯炮对他们说：“爸爸妈妈，你们一定要做一个低碳的人啊!昨天你们睡前忘了关灯，白白浪费了电。产生了很多二氧化碳等，过多的二氧化碳会使地球本厚的臭氧层变薄了，太阳强烈的紫外线照在身上，会产生许多疾病。”“这么小就懂得低碳，我们大人也不能落后啊!”爸爸妈妈异口同声的说。

第二天，我看见妈妈开电脑只开了两小时就关了，她走了过来，对我说：“电脑不要长时间开着，每开2小是时就要休息一段时间，这样有利于低碳环保。”我点了点头，心想：“我自称为低碳市民，却不知道大部分关于低碳的知识，真得好好学习一番。

Dragon Boat race Traditions

At the center of this festival are the dragon boat races. Competing teams drive their colorful dragon boats forward to the rhythm of beating drums. As we know， most peoplehave heroes in their hearts. For me, Dr Norman Bethune is the hero in my heart.He was a great doctor from Canada.
