土地是人类的衣食之源，是立国之本，而我国又是一个人口众多的大国，因此，合理用地、节约用地、保护土地就显得更加重要。针对耕地不断缩减，人地矛盾日趋尖锐的情况，必须大力宣传认真贯彻“十分珍惜和合理利用每寸土地，切实保护耕地”的基本国策，应用法律和经济手段，全面推进耕地的保护、开发和整治。

因此，针对水土流失，应大力植树种草;针对草原退化、土地荒漠化，应退耕还草，建设人工草场，建设防护林;针对过度砍伐森林，应做到砍伐与植树结合;针对乱占耕地，应做到耕地的合理规划和利用，如限制大城市的规模，农村建房要建在非农业用地上，将平房逐步改为楼房等。作为一名中学生，我们应做一些力所能及的事，如宣传有关土地的法律法规;进行社会调查，为合理利用土地出谋划策等。

（2）如果住的楼不高的话，就不要坐电梯，走走楼梯，锻锻炼也好。

（3）天气不怎么热时，尽量不要开空调和风扇。

三、节约纸资源的建议

（1）一张纸如果用了正面，还可以用反面。如果还有一些空的地方，还可以用来打草稿。

（2）练习本后面的几页是空的，而且没有用，我们可以把那几页钉装起来，用来打草稿。

（3）用完了的纸还可以收集起来，用来回收到专门能重新造纸的回收站。

My name is Beth. Im 14 years old, and I study in No. 1 Middle School of

Hangzhou. My school is very big and beautiful. Im very happy in the school.

I usually get up at 6:15 in the morning. Then I do morning exercises in the

playground. At 6:40, I have my breakfast. You can see many students and teachers

in the dinning room. After breakfast, I often read English with my

We have six classes every day. The first class begins at 7:50 am. I like

favorite subject is English, so I join English Corner every week. I can speak

由此可见，对自然灾害的防范极其重要。当台风正面袭击前，应当准备好干粮、饮用水和照明工具，因为有时会因为家里停水停电困上一两天。如果遇到停电可以拨打95598，遇到停水可以拨打88373456。并要清理好自家的花盆、衣架等物品，以防高空坠物。台风来临时，最好不要外出，如需出门，必须小心广告牌等高空物品，对其敬而远之。在暴雨来临前，需切断各类电器的电源，预防雷击，在雷雨天不能使用任何无线工具，电波会引来雷电，十分危险。台风来临时，万万不可打开迎风一侧的窗户，这样会使强气流吹倒房子，若窗户上有裂缝，必须及时用胶带贴住或用其他物品堵严。如不堵住，可能会使玻璃破碎。除此之外，也应了解各台风预警信号及其强度等级——台风预警信号有四种，按由弱到强的顺序排列为蓝色、黄色、橙色、红色。

Last week, our school held an activity to the nursing house to visit the

old people. I was so excited to be a volunteer, because it was my first time to

join such big activity. When we got there, the old people were so happy to see

us. They smiled all the time. We brought them some fruit and presents, and they

were so moved. When we chatted face in face, they talked about the old times and

the happiness they had. I thought about my grandparents, who lived in the

healthy. Some young people hang out for fun after work. They need to release

But each coin has two sides. If a city builds too many roads, the streets will

occupy much land. We will have little space used for other purposes. So

people can go conveniently everywhere they like; they will not ride bikes or
