在古代没有任何现代机器的情况下，很难建造这样一堵墙。所有的工作都是手工完成的。成千上万的人死了，被埋在他们建造的城墙下。长城不仅是由石头和泥土建成的，而且是几百万人的血肉所组成的。

今天，长城不仅对中国人，而且对来自世界各地的人都有兴趣。他们中的许多人都知道中国著名的谚语:“没有到达长城的人不是真正的人。”
