get ready, spades, boards, and water. We caught a lot of dirt on the prepared

Many years ago, some scholars were strongly against the certification of

English test that was a must for a student to get the degree. So some colleges

canceled the rules. But recently, The Chinese first class university announced

that swimming skill is necessary for degree. It has been the hot issue, then

many people give their opinions.

On the one hand, some people are favorable of this regulation, because

swimming skill is really important. Most of the accidents happened in the river.

The swimming skill can protect them from dying. What’s more, foreign schools

take the swimming class as the regular lesson. So almost every foreign kid can

swim, which is the basic skill.

On the other hand, some people argue that even the student can’t swim, they

can’t be denied by lacking the swimming skill. They need the degree to find a

job. They are equipped with many skills and are capable of a lot of things.

Their ability has nothing to do with swimming skill.

I think that school should open the class for students to learn swimming

skill. If they fail, they still can make up by learning other lesson. The degree

can be got by many ways.

When talk about America, most people will think of the great buildings and

the lively parties, because the Hollywood movies present us the strongest

America. Whats more, the media always report how powerful America is and the

foreign media criticize China all the time, so people lose faith about our

country. Actually, every country is not perfect. Recently, I have learned a lot

about America, which helped me make the better judgment. A video was made by a

Chinese student who had studied in America for 6 years. He told people that some

part of America was like the big countryside and not every place looked like the

movies presented in the screen. He came to the conclusion that perfect country

did not exist. So we need to take the right attitude to our country, and dont

lose faith when we see the bad sides.

Stress comes in all shapes and size, and has become pervasive, it seems to

penetrate everything and everybody, its hard to get through a day without

hearing or reading something about stress. Some doctors refer to stress as some

kind of new plague天灾, 灾害, 祸患. However, numerous surveys confirm that the problem

has progressively risen since the 1980s. Why all the disorder? After all, stress

has been around since Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, Stress is an

unavoidable consequence of life. Without stress, there would be no life.

However, just as distress can caw disease, there are good stresses that balance

this, and promote wellness.

At the coming of the new year, it is also the time for one of the biggest

tennis matches, the Australian Open. Since Li Na won her second grand slam here,

more Chinese people fall in love with tennis. One of the popular male players,

Roger Federer, who is more than 30, but he is still in the top level. The fans

hope their hero can enjoy the match and they didn’t expect the next grand slam.

But Roger made it happen again. He defeated his great rival, Nadal and won

Australian Open. The world was cheering for him, and they witnessed this great

man to make his career successful at the old age. If we have dreams, it is never

too late to pursue. People always take the age as the excuse, actually, they

lack of persistence, which differs them from successful men.

由于近一段时间，非常烦闷，在清明节假期，非常想出去散散心，于是和几位同事商量着这几天去哪玩，刚好有一好友从太原发出了邀请，所以就把山西太原做为这次旅游的目标。目标定好之后就制定了行程安排，按照计划第一天先到太原的晋祠博物馆去看一下，把太原当做一个中转站，我自认为是个相当不错的选择。

清明节早上，五点半在学校门口集合后，我们一行7人、两辆车就出发了，一路上全是高速，而且不收过路费，甚是惬意。老孙开车不经意间就达到了160码，我赶紧通知他降速，被电子眼拍到可不是什么好事儿，更重要的是我们的安全问题。经过四个多小时的跋涉中午11点多一点就到了太原市小店收费站，出站后朋友已经在那里等候了，呵呵，有朋友就是好，我们不仅不用操心吃喝住的问题，而且出行还有了免费的导游。

吃过午饭，就直奔第一目标——晋祠公园。我的车在停车场还没有停稳呢就有好几个导游围了过来，为了能更清楚的了解晋祠的历史这一次我没有吝啬，从几个导游中选了一个看似比较实诚的中年人做我们的导游。我们迫不及待的跟着导游进入了景区，导游可能是想再接一单生意，所以走的飞快，想好好拍几张照片的时间都不给我们，晋祠博物馆的门前不收费的景区也没来得及细看。不过这个导游的嘴倒是没停着一直在讲有关晋祠的历史及文化，不一会就到了晋祠博物馆的售票处，匆匆的买过票后走进晋祠，第一个感觉就是古老和苍劲。外面公园里满目的鲜花是现代的灿烂，而晋祠里的苍松劲柏就是古代的沧桑。伫立古树之下，心都能沉静下来。圣母殿前的周柏不知是何年所植(据说已有3200多年的历史了)，已经倾侧，僵卧于殿前，却僵而不死，老而弥坚，在它旁边支撑的它的那棵柏树是它的儿子也有一千多岁了。其他古树更是苍苍翠翠，给晋祠带来许多阴凉。其中有一棵槐树据说是隋唐年间的古树。

晋祠本来是为纪念周武王次子姬虞而建，不过自从北宋仁宗时期修建了祭祀姬虞母亲的圣母殿以后，晋祠的格局就变成了围绕圣母殿来设置。圣母殿看起来十分古朴甚至略有残旧之感，据说它是中国现存最古老的木建筑之一，这恰恰是我所爱，因为那代表了时间的印迹和历史的味道。中国木料建筑的保护难度，一直高于西方的石料建筑，而在国内，北方木建筑又比南方似乎要保存得更好一些，这是不是跟北方的天气较南方干燥有关呢?可能吧。圣母殿里有几十尊宋代侍女雕塑，是晋祠三绝之一，不过为了保护文物，殿内已经不允许游人进入，导游说其中有一尊雕像是最绝的，是一半脸儿哭、一半脸儿笑，还说梅兰芳曾经在殿里住了一个月就是为了学习这一表情，可惜我只能在殿门口往里看上一看，根本看不到那半边脸。那些古代的雕像，正在幽暗的殿内和光同尘，时光悠悠。晋祠虽然残旧，但色彩却依然斑斓，特别是大殿的屋顶，是比较少有的翠绿色，配上橙色的殿壁，煞是华美。殿侧林立着古碑，第一座就是明成化年间的皇碑。

because our country is still a developing country and few people can afford

private cars. The demand for a means of transport is met by making millions of

bicycles available.

Riding a bicycle has a lot of advantages over driving a car. First, it is a

physical exercise to ride a bicycle. In contrast, sitting in the car, one tends

to gain weight. Besides, it is much more economical to ride a bike than drive a

car. On the one hand, the only fee a bike-rider has to pay is the annual tax.

However, the annual fees for a car are costly. On the other hand, a bike neednt

be equipped with a parking lot, but a car must. Most important of all, it is

beneficial to the environment to ride a bicycle because the bike doesnt consume

petrol; it is a pollution-free transport. In contrast, the exhaust released by

the car is harmful to the environment.

Since China is a developing country with a large population, bicycles will

still be the most popular means of transport in China for quite a long time.

Most people will still ride bicycles to go to work or to school. The emperor

country of bicycles will remain for at least dozens of years.
