People have questioned what caused this problem and what can be done to improve the situation. In my opinion, two of the most critical causes of this waste material problem are the increased consumption and a shortage of space for landfill.

To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of space to store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries.

To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. For example, we can bring our own personal shopping bags instead of using plastic bags provided by stores and shops. Besides, the government can enforce stricter laws on companies to use biodegradable packaging or use recycled material. Indeed, this alone can eliminate much of the waste which is sent to at land fills. Companies can also contribute by developing new raw material which is recyclable and will ultimately lead to less garbage. As discussed above, individuals, business and the government can share the responsibility to reduce the amount of waste material and to save the earth. I hope that in the future our offspring will be better off with the well-preserved environment.

如今，大海变了样。海水不再清澈，它变浊了，变脏了。海水冲上沙滩，留下的不再是活蹦乱跳的小鱼小虾，取而代之的是一堆又一堆的垃圾，还夹杂着不少惨死的小鱼小虾，散发着阵阵恶臭。这是为什么呢?这都是由于我们人类。有人在海边欣赏美景时，顺手把恶臭的垃圾扔进海里。也有在海边居住的人把厕所的排泄管直通到海底。更可恶的是工厂排放的废水大股大股地流进海里，把海水染成了一种奇异的颜色。导致生出了许多缺少脑子`智商低的婴儿，我们的下一代-眼睛明亮`嗓音稚嫩`脸峡透红的下一代将永远见不到美丽迷人的蓝色海洋了。

世界保护野生动物基金会就曾指出由于人类大量排放二氧化碳、砍伐森林及捕鱼，滥用大自然资源的速度已经远超过环境所能负载能力。唯有与大自然的和睦共处、尊重自然生态，并负起保护的责任，才能避免生态浩劫、减缓全球暖化、让我们携手共创美好的生态环境，为后代树立好榜样，连到永续发展的目标!

我们的学校是一座历史悠久的百年名校，那里空气清新、环境优美。

走进我们的校园，首先映入眼帘的是的五颜六色的鲜花、绿绿葱葱的小草、高大魁梧的树木，尤其是那一棵棵香樟树，高大粗壮，像一把绿绒大伞，又像一个个强悍的士兵在保护着我们的校园，它给我们带来了凉爽，让我们在大树下做游戏，玩耍。给我们遮风挡雨。还有我们三年级一班教室前的花坛，开满的各种不知名的小花朵，十分惹人喜爱，就像一个个小伙伴在陪我们读书、写字、画画。教室门前都雕刻着栩栩如生的图画、词句优美的古诗，激人奋进的名言，那些名人名言时时刻刻都在激励我们要好好学习，愤发向上，健康成长。

我们的学校不仅美丽，还是一个欢腾的世界，星期一到星期五每天都从这美丽的校园里传出一阵阵琅琅的读书声，清脆的的歌声，阳光明媚的上午，我们会排着整齐的队伍来到操场，开始做课间操，音乐响起来了，我们随着音乐做起了课间操，我们的动作一模一样，简直就像一个人做的一样。课间活动和午休时间是我们最开心的，最喜欢的时刻，欢呼声一浪高过一浪，有打篮球的、有打乒乓球的、有跑步的、有跳远的，应有尽有，目不暇接，个个同学都生龙活虎。

走进学校的大门，一眼就看见了我们铺着绿地毯的大操场，过了大门，向右转，就来到植物角，那里有人心果、桂花树、洒金榕、灰莉、杨桃等各种各样的植物!

其中最引人注目的是位于路口的一棵树，叫罗汉果。罗汉果树很低，到我们的大腿处。那叶子很绿，很多，很细。阳光下，叶子的颜色比颜料的绿还绿，显得生机勃勃。

再沿着石子路往里走一段小路便看见一棵人心果树，人心果树的果子小巧玲珑，非常可爱。人心果树旁边有一个亭子，同学们可以在这里一边乘凉，一边欣赏美景，真是同学们休息、放松的好地方。

沿着石子铺成的路继续向前走，便看见了一棵桂花树。桂花的花已经开到很旺盛的时期，只要你深呼吸，一定能让你整个人顿时神清气爽，桂花真香呀，香得我在教室上课都能闻到它的香味;桂花的花真美呀，美得让人无法用语言来表达;桂花的花真奇呀，奇得让你说不出它的形状。真让人不得不喜欢它。

桂花树的旁边是灰莉树，灰莉的个子不高中等，叶子有点像绿茶的叶子，很可爱，让人恨不得一见到就把它摘下来!再沿着石子路转过身子，便看到了杨桃树，那里的杨桃树上的杨桃又大又黄，像一个个五角星挂在树上!我们校园真美丽!有机会你也来看看校园的植物角吧!
