市东龙子湖风景区湖光山色，交相辉映，近有汤和墓古迹园、水上乐园、淮河风情园，东邻明皇陵、中都城、龙兴寺、白石山森林公园；西郊荆涂二山隔河相对，相传大禹曾会诸侯于涂山，还在此娶涂山氏为妻。现存有禹王宫启母石以及型山上的白乳泉、卞和洞等众多名胜散落在青山绿水间。
