During weekdays, I am busy, because I must go to school. I usually get up

at 6:30 a.m.. And then I do some washing. After that, I will have my breakfast

at 6:50. I usually go to school at 7:15. Now, I can go to school and come home

by myself. I have four classes in the morning and three in the afternoon. I have

my lunch at home. I study Chinese, math, English and some other subjects at

school. At night, I can watch TV or play computer. But I have to finish my

homework first. I usually go to bed at 10:00 p.m..

Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

The summer holiday is coming. Im going to have a good rest and learn to relax myself. I will read more useful books because reading more books is not only interesting but also can make me learn more knowledge. I will try to spend more time in chatting with my parents and help them to do some housework. I am going to take part in the social activities so that I can know more about the society. If possible, Id like to go to Shanghai for a visit of the World Expo. Im sure Ill have an interesting and meaningful summer holiday.

Last weekend, On Saturday morning I got up at 6;30. After breakfast I did

我坐在沙发上看着电视，满怀欣喜的等着洗衣机把衣服和菜洗好。这时，爸爸回来了。他问我把青菜洗好了没有。我心想：当然洗好啦，而且很干净呢！肯定让你吓一跳！我故意卖着关子，把爸爸拉到洗衣机旁。爸爸不明白是怎么一回事，我打开洗衣机往里一看傻眼了。干净的衣服呢？干净的青菜呢？怎么会变成了满是青菜污渍的衣服？怎么会变成了满地残叶？我十分不解，又怕爸爸责骂于是大哭了起来。爸爸看到这情景真是哭笑不得。

我童年的这几次经历不知能不能算是“趣事”，但我一回想起它来就会忍不住笑出声来。

这段经历与河有着不解之缘。

大约是3岁时，我到爷爷家去玩。两位姐姐便带我去山上采莓子。我们来到一条小河旁。河不是很宽，两位姐姐跨到对面的河岸去采草莓。我看她们这样很有意思的，便忘记了自己的大小，也把小脚跨了过去。右脚好不容易跨到对岸可手却伸不过去，看到鲜红的莓子我心里不甘愿，我费力地把手伸向它，没想到我右脚根本没站稳，一滑，便跌入河的怀抱。记得当时两个姐姐竟然拿一根细细的柳枝来救我。现在想来多可笑啊，她们多么的幼稚啊。回到家时，姐姐们免不了被狠狠地批了一顿。

估计应该是4岁左右吧。有一个周末，爸爸组织他的学生去郊外野炊。爸爸把我也带去了。到那里时，他们有的捡柴火，有的烧火，有的搬石头，忙得不可开交。到了吃饭时，爸爸与学生在举杯欢庆，似乎把我忘了。我气愤地踢着石头，想引起他们的注意。但还是没效果，我就拿起一块大石头扔到碧绿的河面上。没想到石头飞出去时，我的整个人也跟着飞了出去。“扑嗵”一声，我又下水了。还好老爸眼疾手快把我捞了起来。我没有一点感激他的救命之恩，我恨他。不信你看当时他帮我拍的相片，我是恨恨地看着老爸的。

清晰地记得，那年我七岁了，我上了一年级。放暑假时，我又到爷爷家玩。爷爷家门口有一条小河，河上架着几根大木头。一天早上，我和奶奶坐在木头上聊着我的学习生活。我坐累时想往后躺，谁知后面的木头有意捉弄我似的，它们滚到另一边去了，这样，我来了个漂亮的“U”形后空翻，直坠河中。当时我吓得大哭起来（为什么我前两次没哭呢，可能那时更胆大）！第二天我感冒还发起烧。爷爷还去河边念经呢，老爸说是去替我招魂！

写到这，我再次笑了起来。看来我是命中缺水吧，所以才不断地与河水亲密接触。当然，我也庆幸这些经历啊，让我一回想起自己的童年，就觉得“趣味”无穷！

classical movies, the Sound of Music was the most exciting one. During my

really was. Lastly, I went to the temple fair and was lucky to taste several
