Mother, how ordinary but a great name! Everyone can feel deeply from the name of the ordinary love, yes, mothers life hard work pay so much for us, and we have to pay for the mother?

Mother, like a wall of the wind and rain, blocking the sun, so that we these small trees thrive without wind and rain; Mother, like a kindly mother bird, every day with a loving hand stroked us these chicks feathers, encourage us to fight the sky.

My mother is like a wall, like the mother bird to me caress times to, encourage have add, especially let me grateful is often to lost my mother to guide and encourage, let the profound sense of joy in my mind to take root, sprout, inspire me to grow.

母亲，一个多么平凡而伟大的名字呀!每个人都可以从这平凡的名字上而感到深深的爱，是啊，母亲一生辛勤劳作为我们付出了那么多，我们和曾为母亲付出过呢?

母亲，像一堵墙，遮住了风雨，挡住了烈日，好让我们这些不经风雨的小树苗能茁壮成长;母亲，像慈祥的鸟妈妈，每天都用充满爱的手抚摸着我们这些幼雏的羽毛，鼓励我们去搏击万里长空。

我的母亲也像墙，像鸟妈妈那样对我呵护倍至，鼓励有加，尤其让我感激的是母亲常常对失落的我进行引导和鼓励，让那深刻的道理在我的心里生根，发芽，激励我成长。

Christmas， annual Christian holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ。 Most members of the Roman Catholic Church and followers of Protestantism celebrate Christmas on December 25， and many celebrate on the evening of December 24 as well。 Members of the Eastern Orthodox Church usually delay their most important seasonal ceremonies until January 6， when they celebrate Epiphany， a commemoration of the baptism of Jesus。 Epiphany also traditionally commemorates the arrival of the Three Wise Men of the East in Bethlehem （near Jerusalem， Israel）， where they adored the infant Jesus and presented him with gifts of gold， frankincense， and myrrh。 The official Christmas season， popularly known as either Christmastide or the Twelve Days of Christmas， extends from the anniversary of Christ’s birth on December 25 to the feast of Epiphany on January 6。  Christmas is based on the story of Jesus’ birth as described in the Gospel according to Matthew （see Matthew 1：18—2：12） and the Gospel according to Luke （see Luke 1：26—56）。 Roman Catholics first celebrated Christmas， then known as the Feast of the Nativity， as early as 336 ad。 The word Christmas entered the English language sometime around 1050 as the Old English phrase Christes maesse， meaning festival of Christ。 Scholars believe the frequently used shortened form of Christmas—Xmas—may have come into use in the 13th century。 The X stands for the Greek letter chi， an abbreviation of Khristos （Christ）， and also represents the cross on which Jesus was crucified。

The old man and the sea mainly tells the story: an old fisherman for eighty-four days without fish, met with a giant marlin on the sea. After three days and three nights of struggle, the old man finally killed the big marlin, but he on the way home, but being attacked by a shark, when he returned, the big marlin only fish head fish left.

This story, but tell the immortal hero, although the old man fails, but thats just the sort of strength and a failure of the body, of his confidence and hope that it is impossible to burst. "People are not born for defeat. A man can be destroyed, but can not be one to beat! This is a tough guy spirit!" A very valuable spirit!

《老人与海》主要讲述了：一位老渔夫连续八十四天没有捕到鱼的情况下，在大海上遇到了一条巨大的马林鱼。经过了三天三夜的较量，老人终于杀死了大马林鱼，可他返航的途中 ，却被鲨鱼袭击了，当他返回时，那条大马林鱼只剩下鱼头鱼尾了。

这篇故事，却讲出不朽的英雄的主义，虽然老人失败了，但那只是那种力气和肉体上的一次失败，他的信心与希望是不可能破灭的。“人不是为了失败而生的。一个人可以被毁灭，但是不可以被人给打败!这是硬汉精神!”一种十分可贵的精神!

thanksgiving day in the united states, the fourth thursday in november is called thanksgiving day. on that day, americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed during the year.thanksgiving day is usually a family day.

people always celebrate with big dinners and happy reunions. pumpkin pie and indian pudding are traditional thanksgiving desserts. relatives from other cities, students who have been away at school, and many other americans travel a long distance to spend the holiday at home.
