用词要适当，不可逐句把提示汉译英，亦不可生拼硬凑，不要硬拿英语单词到中文句子里去对号，否则写出中文式英语，闹出笑话。一般来讲，写作时，应尽量选出你有把握的词，尽量使用短句(简单句)。如果有的单词不会写，有的思想不会用英语表达，你可以设法绕开，最好找一个同义词、同义句，或近义词、词组短语来代替。要正确使用关联词，如and，or，but，so，because，since等，以便行文自然流畅。

作文写完之后，应注意检查修改，修改时先从全局修改。首先要检查主题是否明确，表达方式是否恰当，接下来检查所写内容是否切题，该交待的内容是否交待了，最后检查所用时态、人称是否符合要求，最后是否一致。

写完后，还应仔细校阅1—2遍。校阅要逐词逐句进行，注意检查语法、拼写、标点、大小写等方面的错误。校阅是自检的最后一关，应严肃认真的进行，尽可能地消灭一切差错，增强文章的效果。

因此，要写好一篇作文，不仅需要具有丰富的思想内容，掌握扎实的词汇、语法及修辞等方面的语言基本功，而且还需要掌握因不同思维方式和文化背景而形成的英语特有的篇章机构模式 惟有这样才能进行最有效的书面交际活动。

这几年，许多同学都在假期补课，而且从来没有补过，由于我喜欢玩，不喜欢学习。眼看着新的假期又要来了，我们班上的许多同学都在报名被课。有的同学喜欢补数学；有的同学喜欢补作文；大多数同学喜欢补英语，由于英语太难啦！对我来讲，英语好像从来没有及格过，看着同学们都积极学习的样子，我也有些心动了。

由于去年假期，同学们都在补课，没有人和我玩，我现在想还不如去和他们一起补课算了，那么选哪一门课呢？后来想了一想，我就决定补自己最差的英语了。那天，我报了名，英语老师说：“凤凤，你早就得补你的英语了，这次来一定要好好学，其实英语一点都不难！”听了英语老师的话，我的心里别提多兴奋了。

到了补课其间，我们每个人都准备了新的笔记本，将老师讲的每一个要点都记了下来。因为在这里补课的同学还有其他班上的同学，所以学习热情很高涨，我也不好意思玩了。别的同学做什么，我就做什么，反正自己也没有好的学英语方法，所以现在就是我最好的学习机会。

差不多一个月的时间，我的英语水平提高了许多，最后的测试分数不再是倒数第一，我终于进步了。当我拿着成绩让爸爸妈妈看进，他们一直夸我有进步，并要继续努力。当时，我的心里乐滋滋的，非常感谢假期补英语的生活。

我是一个比较轻生的人，但自从做了那个梦，我变得开朗多了。

那天晚上，我睡得迷迷糊糊。忽然发现自己躺在病床上，一问才知道，我得了不治之症。当时我好绝望，不吃不喝，天天抱着头哭。

爸爸看见我失落的样子，就从家里拿来我小时候最喜欢的玩具，我把玩具攥在手里，却哭得更厉害了，爸爸拍了拍我，就走出了病房。

同病房的病友说：“你这辈子多做好事，就算死了，下辈也能投胎”我勉强笑笑。

但是到了晚上，我坐在病床上，并不想睡，很难过，什么也不想，就想哭。

……

后来，病情严重了，我的神智也不清了。然后就抱着玩具离开了。

惊醒后，我终于明白，轻生的人才是傻子，我不在轻生，我要好好活。

就想司马迁说过的，要活就活好，获得有价值。
