The Spring Festival, the most jubilant and important festival in China, is

observed by most Chinese people at home and abroad. Our hometown is not an

exception.

Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half

a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung

up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival

atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional

My new deskmate is a boy of sixteen. His name is Zhang Gao. He is 1.8

they are always smiling at you. Compared with my yellow hair, his hair is black

and thick. He speaks a little bit fast but very clearly. However, he likes to

I often go to see my grandma and grandpa during winter vacation. They are both seventy years old and live in the country happily. I can do many interesting things there. When night comes, I am used to sitting by the fire and listening to grandma telling me many funny stories. And I tell her some new things happening in the city. To reduce the crime rate, we all the people should receive a law education.

Criminals must be severely punished. Meanwhile we should set up a foundation to

reward those who fight criminals. It is also important to call on people to

learn from those heroes and encourage more people to stand up to crime.
