以上这段文字，根本没有理解原话题的丰富的内涵，仅仅是摘引了一些语句生硬地给自己的文章“穿靴戴帽”而已，习作仍然走在缺少想象力、缺乏创新思维的老路上。

三、忌转移话题

一位考生，他的“心灵悟语”一文开头是这样的：“心，我的心不要悲哀，你要忍受命运的安排。严冬掠走的一切，新春会给你带回来。心，我的心，只要是你情乏所钟，你都可以尽量去爱。”可是后面他又接着写道：“平淡，不是与世无争，也不是无所谓，而是平常与淡然。用一颗平常而且淡然的心去面对社会的艰难和压力，就不会过于烦恼和紧张了。就象面对高考，我从小学到真是12年寒窗苦，为的就是在这人生的转折点上有一个好的开始，但这一路上却充满了艰辛与痛苦，即将要达到终点时，还要考虑万一没有考上大学怎么办?这时，我的平常心和淡然的心对我说话了，他告诉我不要有太多顾虑，在这12年里流的汗水会化作春雨毫不吝啬的浇在你身上，严冬夺取的一切，新春会给你夺回来。”

这篇习作，开头谈的是“爱”，后面写的却是如何看待人生路上的“难”与“苦”，明显属于“转移话题”。“心灵悟语”，可“悟”的话题有许多，“爱”心可以去“悟”，“人生”也可以“悟”，但每一篇“悟”只应围绕一个中心来写，如果前言不搭后语，驴唇不对马嘴，谁知道你“悟”出了什么道理呢。

四、忌文意散漫

一般来说，话题提供的是写作范围，并没有规定写作的主旨。所以，在话题规定的范围内，还要“炼意”，也就是提炼自己文章的中心思想。如果在这一环节下功夫不够，没有考虑好自己究竟要写什么，要表达什么意思，就匆匆忙下笔，就有可能东拉西扯，多头指向，文意散漫，不知所云。

例如：有位习作者写《答案是丰富多彩的》，开头三段写学生学习负担太重;接着写李素丽如何在平凡的岗位上成为劳动模范;再下来写一个故意开枪伤人的派出所所长被判死刑;最后又写到做数学题可以一题多解。这样一篇文章，七零八落，让人不知所云，是典型的文意散漫，东拉西扯的病文。

一、compare与contrast的误用

我们先从两者的定义入手来看两者的区别。Compare的定义为：to examine people or things to see how they are similar or different. Contrast的定义为：to compare two or more things to show the difference between them. 由定义不难看出前者侧重于找到两个或多个事物的异同，而后者则侧重于它们的不同。

看个例句：

It is interesting to compare their situations to ours./It is interesting to contrast their situations to ours。

前一句翻译为：对比一下我们的情况与他们的情况会很有趣。

后一句的翻译为：我们的情况与他们的情况有很大的不同，这很有趣。

再看一个引自OXFORD ADBANCED LEARNERS DICTIONARY的例子：

二、介词使用错误

1、普通介词的误用

一般表现为固定搭配错误，如常把provide sb with sth用成provide sb sth; be satisfied with用成be satisfied for等等，虽然这样的错误看似无伤大雅，但在考官眼里就是影响顺畅阅读的，当然会影响最终成绩。解决的办法简单而古老：把常见的固定搭配牢记于心，问题自然就解决了。

2、to作为介词的误用

to最常见的用法是以动词不定式符号的形式出现的，所以同学们也已经习惯了 to do的固定搭配。对于一些如walk to me, to the left等介词to表方向等常见用法一般也不会出现错误。但是对于与动词搭配的介词to就会经常犯错：

如：

这里的 take to means to begin to do sth as a habit 其中 to为介词，所以后面只能接名词或相当于名词的词，如动名词。所以黑体处应改为depending on。take to的另一个常用用法也需要牢记：

三、assume及claim使用不够准确

我们知道， think, assume, claim是议论文中常用引出观点的动词。在实际作文中，同学们往往认为几个词的意思是一样的，完全可以代换，所以拿过来就用。甚至还有同学把consider也拿过来与之混用。我们首先还是从定义来看这几个词的不同：

Think: to have opinion or belief about sth。

翻译为认为，通常接宾语从句来表达比较确定的观点。

Assume: to think or accept that sth is true but without having proof of it。

翻译为假设、假定，是否有事实依据是不确定的。

Claim: to say sth is true although it has not been proved and other people may not believe it。

翻译为声称，用这个词往往意味着不赞同紧跟其后的观点，所以很少用作 I claim that

Scientist are claiming a breakthrough in the fight against cancer, but in fact, 。

所以 It is claimed that 通常翻译为有报道称。。。。和it is reported that 的区别在于后者翻译为据报道，往往代表着作者赞同报告的内容，

翻译为考虑，一般不用作引出观点，看个例子：

所以，提醒您，千万不要在雅思大作文的第一段(观点表达段)就因为用词把握不准而导致对整篇文章的低分印象。

四、表建议的词汇后面忘记用虚拟从句

这是摘自学生作文中的一个病句：

I suggest he continues his study instead of working after graduation from high school。

因为 suggest翻译为建议，所以后面的从句应该用虚拟语气，黑体部分应该改为 (should) continue

提醒您，一定要牢记以下常见表建议的词汇，而且要记住这些词接从句时要用虚拟语气：

五、such as与for example的混用

我们知道，在表示举例子的时候，such as 与like是完全等同的，如：Wild flowers such as/like orchids and primroses are becoming rare。

但是同学们对于Such as、for example 的把握还是不够准确。我们都知道，后者接句子前者接词语表示举例子。于是就有了下面的写法：

There is a similar word in many languages, such as in French and Italian。

这里的such as改为 for example为好，因为in French and Italian其实是there is a similar word in French and Italian的简化，所以要用 for example来引出例证。再来看几个类似的例子：

1、开门见山。开头直接写某个季节到来时你想写的景物。譬如你想写冬天，你可以这样开头：冬爷爷的脚步越来越近了，我仿佛看到了他带着白色的雪精灵来了。

2、反问句开头。提出问题开头，引发读者兴趣，吸引读者的注意力，这种作文，要体现出与读者对话的色彩。譬如写冬天，你可以这样开头：在一年四季里，你最喜欢哪个季节呢?春的明媚，夏的热情，秋的收获，冬的冰雪，各具特色，精彩纷呈。我最喜欢冬的白雪纷飞，银装素裹。

3、引用法。在描写冬的景色时可以用：忽如一夜春风来，千树万树梨花开。等诗句来形容以让自己的文章更加的生动形象。应该注意的是，一是开头不宜过长，老师提倡的是50-80字，也就是说，最好控制你的作文稿纸的三行半，最好别超过5行。一旦超过，就显得“头重”了。二是语言要优美，要搜集些精美的词语，是开头显得文采飞扬。三是适当采用修辞方法，如拟人、比喻、排比等，使语言显得生动活泼，通顺流畅。

二、写景作文的层次和顺序

1、描写的景物固定，时间不固定——以时间来分类。

2、时间固定，描写的景物不固定——冬天的作文就可以写雪后的不同景象所展现出的状态，如落满了雪的地面，屋顶，或是还没落满雪，还能隐约可以看见水的小溪。

3、地点固定，时间也固定——以空间顺序分类。这种方法适用于冬天去游览某一景区，比如去某公园，就可以写先到了哪里看到了什么。

三、写景的几个要素

第一步是观察：观察是写好作文的基础，对于写景作文来说，离开了细致准确的观察，是绝对写不好的。观察必须确立好立足点。立足点可以是固定的 ( 空间方位 ) ，也可以是变换的 ( 移步换景 ) 。但无论怎样必须层次清楚。

第二步是抓住特征：写景物，要善于抓住在不同地区、不同季节、不同时间里的景物颜色、形态、声响、变化等方面的特征，不能生搬硬套，如冬天可以用白雪皑皑，银装素裹，瑞雪纷飞等形容词来形容，这样可以让你的作文更加的生动起来。

第三、要层次分明：层次就是文章的内容顺序，也即表达顺序。先写什么后写什么，心里要有数。比如可以先写近景再写远景，最后可以寓情于景，达到升华主题的目的。

第四、要动静结合：所谓动静结合，就是指描写景色时，不仅要写出景色的静态，而且要写出它的动态，使景色才能活起来，使读者的印象更深刻。例：夜里，下雪了，雪花簌簌的往下落。第二天，我推开门一看，对面的山白了，田野也白了。眼前的院子里也是一片白色，小狗在雪上踩着，踩出了一片小巧的梅花。

第五、要抒发感情，任何景物都是客观存在的，但这种客观存在的景物却能给人不同的感受。我们写景要写自己热爱的景色，表达一定的主题思想，要表达出对自然的热爱，这就是借景抒情。如：在写家乡的冬天时，可以表达我对家乡的喜爱或是思念，而这样的喜爱与思念就融入在我们所描绘的景中。

冬季到了，气候慢慢冷了。树上的树叶像被剃头刀剃过的同样，光秃秃的。马路上的人们穿上了厚厚的棉袄，戴上了厚厚的帽子。小朋友的脖子也缩进了厚厚的衣领里。呼呼的冬风刮在脸上像刀子刺的同样。
