London and Tower Bridge

The London Bridge preceding the current one was bought by the McCulloch Oil Corporation of California, which reconstructed it at Lake Havasu City, in a corner of America’s Arizona Desert. Rumour has it that McCulloch’s thought they were buying the much more spectacular Tower Bridge.

The Construction of Tower Bridge began in 1885 and it was opened 9yrs later by Edward VII the then Prince of Wales, Amidst pomp and ceremony. It is the only bridge in London that can be raised to allow ships to pass. Since the Thames is no longer used much as a trade and shipping route, the complex lifting mechanism is only used 4 or 5 times a week. 这本书是由湖北美术出版社出版的，质量非常好，里面的纸张很结实，翻过很多次都没有卷角、起皱，而且每页纸都是彩色的，有浅红，浅绿等，甚是好看。里面的图片更是精致美观，看着那些栩栩如生的人物画，仿佛把我带入那个斗智斗勇的三国时代。

书中的文字排版也很合理，故事内容都用相应颜色的黑体字，还用不用颜色的楷体字对每一个故事都做了简介和点评，并对文章中一些特殊的词语用宋体字进行注释，让我们对故事细节、对历史人文有更进一步的了解。

书中的内容都是按章回来划分的，一个故事一个章回，非常清晰。当然，更吸引我的还是文字的内容了，那是一个字绝！好看得不得了，总是会看完一遍再看一遍，哪怕是背得下来了，都还想再看，因为实在是描写得太妙了。故事精彩引人入胜，人物精致鲜明独特，文字激昂句句堪好，妙语连珠回味无穷，简直无法用语言来表达这种品书的美妙感觉，正所谓，妙不可言啊！

《中国皇帝全传》是我今年暑假去杭州参加书法比赛时买回来的。因为太喜欢，所以只用了一个月的时间就读完了。这本书里面有雄才大略，统一六国的秦始皇嬴政；有“三尺长剑打天下，约法三章”的汉高祖刘邦；还有创造了“贞观之治”的唐太宗李世民……当然，我最喜欢的皇帝是曹操和康熙。

曹操字孟德，公元前155年出生。我佩服他在乱世统一了北方，欣赏他“宁教我负天下人，不叫天下人负我”的血辣性格。他既有“送关羽哭典韦”的惜才性格，又有“血洗徐州”的暴性。在华容道败北，他仰天大笑，表现出特有的乐观和顽强。但在江边赋诗“对酒当歌”，又表现出了他软弱消沉的一面。所以我对他既爱又恨，又佩服的不得了！

康熙八岁继位，聪慧好学，又富有心机。少年灭鳌拜，中年平定三番，晚年剿灭葛尔丹，一生功绩数不胜数。他武功高强，尤其善射。他在晚年曾说过：“我用弓箭射死老虎135只，用火铳射死熊二十只，打死豹25只，麋鹿14只，肉搏打死狼58只……＂他是天降之任，是我心中最佩服的皇帝！

千古风流，已属过去。以铜为镜，可以正衣冠，以史为镜，可以知兴替，以人为镜，可以明得失。我们青少年是祖国的未来，少年智则国智，少年富则国富，少年强则国强。我辈当牢记使命，将来为祖国做出贡献。

我最喜欢的一本书是《科学之谜》，它是我的小姨在无锡图书城給我买的。

它有好几本，每一本里都有许多稀奇古怪的传说，像什么海上蛇国之谜、人体带电之谜、动物思维之谜。

这本书的文字都带有拼音，这样我就能认识没有学过的字，理解文章的意思。在文章的边上还有丰富多彩的图画，就好像我真的到了那神奇的地方。

通过看这本书我增加了许多知识，丰富了我的想象力。让我感到这个世界多么奇妙！
