I was a shy girl and I never dared to make performance in the public, but

everything will have the exception. Last week, our English teacher gave us a

job. All students needed to make performance in group. I was chosen to be the

protagonist in my team. At first, I told them that I couldn’t make it, but they

believed that I was the suitable person. So I practised hard and tried to get

over my fear. It was my stage. I stood in front of my classmates. With my

teammates, I finished my job. I felt so cool and dared to face so many

这本书一共有十二课，每节课讲的内容都不相同，而且每讲一课都会有关于本课的一篇小漫画，看了漫画你就大概知道要讲什么内容了！

比如第一课：1和0的故事。背景是六一儿童节联欢会，1和0通过对话让大家记住了他们！随后课文又紧抓重点详细介绍了1和0的诞生！让我们知道了1和0是两个非常重要的自然数！

小朋友，你知道是谁发明了阿拉伯数字吗？我猜想很多人都会回答是阿拉伯人，其实在没有认真阅读这本书之前我也不知道！课本的第三讲就回答了这个问题，原来阿拉伯数字是印度人发明的！

在这本书中我最喜欢的是《古代人怎么测量时间》这课，原来在3000多年前，中国人就开始利用影子来确定时间了，并且发明了最原始的计时工具圭表！而且在阴雨天和夜里可以用水钟和漏壶来计时！

通过对这本书的认真阅读，还让我知道了“+”、“-”符号的来历，扑克牌里每种花色代表的意义，以及人头牌代表的是12位著名的人物！

《课本上学不到的数学》虽然是我上一年级的时候妈妈给我买的，但是我从来没有认真阅读过，这个暑假我再次认真阅读后除了让我知道了很多书本上不会讲的数学知识外，也让我体会到了学习没有年级高低之分，只有知道与不知道！

有人喜欢养宠物，有人喜欢做手工，有人喜欢看电视，但我最喜欢的还是看书。因为看书能增长知识，积累词语。我每天至少有三个半小时在看书，至今为止至少积累了成百上千个好词好句，难道还不让你惊讶？

对于我来说，书已经是我生活中不可或缺的东西了。没有书，对于我来说就像没有一生命一样。不过，长期以来的看书习惯，让我写作下笔如有神，从来不用打草稿、查资料，都是一气呵成，半个小时内搞定，积累的好词好句使我的作文栩栩如生，几乎就是用好几百个成语连起来的作文；还给我的绘画带来的天马行空的想象力，虽然我没学过画画，但老师都夸我的画作远远超越了同龄人的水平。

我一开始接触书的时候，妈妈说我还很小，刚满月，当时我以为它是个玩具，随着时间的流逝，慢慢地从色彩鲜艳的图片、绘本到文字小说都会读了。让我增长了不少见识。

但是喜欢看书也是我的一个缺点，有一次吃饭，我拿着书走到餐厅，一边津津有味地看书，一边慢悠悠地吃饭，妈妈看见了，一下子抢过的的书，对我说：“边吃饭边看书对肠胃不好！”我没把这当回事，顺手拿起妈妈抢过的书，一边看一边吃饭，这个样子接二连三，妈妈已经筋疲力尽了，可我还在看。没办法，妈妈只好让我一边看书一边吃饭。

My Favourite Season

Dear Li Ming,

How is everything? I’m glad to tell you something about my favourite season——spring.

Spring comes to Canada in March. The weather is warm and sunny. People feel comfortable. But sometimes the temperature can be as low as -15℃ and it even snows. We won’t see flowers until May or June! In this season, we can play “snow” soccer. On weekends, we can also have a field trip to the countryside and make syrup. There are plenty of fun activities in spring.

I am looking forward to the coming of spring. It’s a season full of hope.

小木偶匹诺曹多次听信狐狸和猫的谎话，要不是小仙女及时的搭救说不定匹诺曹早已变成坏孩子了呢，小木偶在玩具国被小灯芯骗到了玩具国变成了驴子，匹诺曹被一个杂戏团的老板买走了，杂戏团老板让匹诺曹跳圈，用头撞破纸桶，用后腿直立，还有跳舞，学不好要挨打。

这时匹诺曹才开始醒悟，在善良的小仙女宽容的帮助下匹诺曹痛改前非，终于变成一个懂事、诚实、勇敢、聪明伶俐的真正的男孩子。

这本书还帮了我不少忙呢！有一回，我对邻居家的小朋友们说：“雌蚊只有在产卵之前才吸人的血。”他们谁也不相信，说我是“吹牛大王”。回家后，我在书柜里找这方面的资料，终于在《少年百科知识问答》这本书上找到了关于蚊子的一篇。我拿去给小朋友们看，证实了我的说法，他们都夸我知识丰富。还有一回，我在一本书上看到了“地光”这个词，不知道是怎么回事，就打开《少年百科知识问答》寻找答案，在第26页找到了这个答案。原来，地光是地震的前兆，有时如带状，有时如条状，还有柱状、片状、球状、火状等形状。红色的地光较多。

《少年百科知识问答》丰富了我的知识，开阔了我的视野，帮助我更好地学习和生活，是我的“良师益友”。

六一儿童节到了，妈妈让我选择一套喜欢的书作为节日礼物。我高兴地来到汉唐书店，精心地挑选了一套很有意思的彩色绘本，书名叫《法布尔昆虫记》，是法国著名的生物学家，动物学家法布尔写的。

这套书每一幅图画都栩栩如生，每一个故事都生动有趣，在故事中能不知不觉的了解很多昆虫知识。当我阅读时，就像走进了法布尔的昆虫世界，做了一次次惊奇的探秘旅行。那里有充满爱心的毒蜘蛛，残忍的杀手泥蜂，用生命歌唱的音乐家蝉，可怜的奴隶蚂蚁，吃掉新郎的螳螂新娘，伪善的杀手萤火虫，铁嘴铜牙的天牛，还有一只快乐的推着粪的圣甲虫……它们的生命虽然很短暂，但一生却很精彩。

读完后，给我留下印象最深的一则是《闪电飞行员---蜻蜓》。文中讲道：红蜻蜓千木是蜻蜓家族中的佼佼者，他勤学苦练梦想成为一名闪电飞行员。在选拔赛这天，千木为了救一只掉入淤泥中的小蜻蜓，错过了一生只有一次的选拔比赛，再也无法实现飞行员的愿望，可他没有后悔救小蜻蜓，仍然每天坚持练习飞行。一天，食虫芒袭击蜻蜓家族，千木发现后，拼命飞行赶回报信，并疏散同伴，救了大家，最后成为了闪电飞行队的一员。故事中的千木为了自己的梦想而努力，他舍己为人的精神值得我们学习。

《窗边的小豆豆》是日本著名作家黑柳彻子创作的儿童文学作品，首次出版于1981年。《窗边的小豆豆》是日本历史上销售最大的一本书，成为20世纪全球最有影响的作品之一。

这本书主要讲了小豆豆刚上一年级没几天，因为顽皮被退学了。后来小豆豆的妈妈重新找了一所学校，这所学校的名字叫巴学园。巴学园的大门是用两棵树做成的，教室是废弃的电车做成的。这个学校只有50多个学生，小豆豆之前在那个学校非常顽皮，自从来到这个巴学园以后，她不像以前那么顽皮了，是大家都能接受的孩子了。巴学园的教师也非常喜欢巴学园的孩子们，校长是一位和蔼可亲、平易近人的小林校长，小林校长初次见小豆豆的时候就非常喜欢她活泼可爱的性格，并与她成为了好朋友。

The qingming (Pure Brightness) Festival is one of the 24 seasonal division points in China, falling on April 4-6 each year. After the festival, the temperature will rise up and rainfall increases. It is the high time for spring plowing and sowing. But the qingming Festival is not only a seasonal point to guide farm work, it is more a festival of commemoration.

The qingming Festival sees a combination of sadness and happiness.

People love to fly kites during the qingming Festival. Kite flying is actually not limited to the qingming Festival. Its uniqueness lies in that people fly kites not during the day, but also at night. A string of little lanterns tied onto the kite or the thread look like shining stars, and therefore, are called "gods lanterns."

The qingming Festival is also a time to plant trees, for the survival rate of saplings is high and trees grow fast later. In the past, the qingming Festival was called "Arbor Day". But since 1979, "Arbor Day" was settled as March 12 according to the Gregorian calendar.
