书中有个故事让我看了之后尤其觉得惭愧。有一天，刘墉到朋友家做客。晚餐之后，刘墉指着桌子上的残羹剩菜，对主人客气地说：“您准备的太丰盛了，剩下这些，多可惜啊！”岂知主人才六七岁的小孩竟毫不考虑地搭了腔：“不可惜！奶奶吃！”“我婆婆等一会儿出来吃！”女主人说，看见我十分惊讶，又解释，“她不喜欢一起吃，叫她吃好的，她还不高兴，只有剩下来的，她才吃，而且吃得高兴！”难道他们就不能理解老人是因为爱才宁愿自己吃残羹冷炙，而把新鲜美味的食物留给自己爱的人吗？

这不由得让我想起了发生在我自己身上的一件事情。记得小时候最爱吃的就是妈妈烧的红烧小排，只要妈妈一烧小排，我就能吃满满的两碗饭。“开饭啦”妈妈悦耳的声音从厨房飘来，早已饥肠辘辘的我赶紧跑到了餐厅，”Yeah！今天有小排！“我高声喊道。端起饭碗，我就开始像这盆小排发起了积极的进攻，没过多久，餐桌上的这盘小排就被我快消灭完了，爸爸妈妈一直笑眯眯地看着我吃得这么香的样子，妈妈说：“还有几块，孙霄你都把它给吃了吧！”“可是妈妈，你和爸爸都没吃过呢？”妈妈一说，我才猛然发现爸爸妈妈根本还没有尝过这盆小排的味道呢！妈妈说：“你爱吃，你就吃掉吧，爸爸妈妈不爱吃。”听妈妈这么一说，我马上毫不犹豫地把这盆小排都给吃完了。

读了这本书之后让我瞬间明白了“爸爸妈妈不爱吃”的这句话的含义了！我为自己当时的不懂事而惭愧，也为自己终于明白了爸爸妈妈对自己的爱，自己又该如何去感恩这份爱而感到庆幸。就像书中所写的“有一种爱，它深藏在内心，温柔而克制，却在生活的每一个琐碎的瞬间，每一个琐碎的细节上，得到呈现。”父母无私的爱，让我们感到温暖，但我们必须要懂得那份爱，必须要懂得感恩！
