说起我最喜欢的书，我第一个想到的是《福尔摩斯探案集》。

一想到福尔摩斯，我就满心崇拜。他是个行为孤僻怪异的私家侦探，精通许多偏门的专业，就连不起眼的烟灰都研究的透彻，作为侦探，他是真的出类拔萃。

拿起这本书，往往就放不下来了。房间里静悄悄地，只有纸张翻篇的声音。我捧着书，仿佛捧着宝物一般。

我折服于福尔摩斯的渊博学识。当他与华生初次见面时，他仅仅瞥了一眼，就凭借自己的知识说出了华生去过的地方、做过的事情。在调查侯波的凶杀案时，所有的警员、官方侦探都认为墙上的“RECHAL”是一位女士的姓名，认定被害人是侯波妻子的情人；而福尔摩斯转念一想，认为“RECHAL”是凶手有意为了混淆警员的思路而写的，而这几个字母所组成的单词不是哪位女士的姓名，而是德语“复仇”的意思。在后来，有一起案件中，福尔摩斯在勘察现场时留意到了一小堆烟灰，他捻了一撮，闻了闻，一语道破这烟灰是什么品种的烟留下来的，然后根据烟的价值准确地判断出了凶手的身份地位。

我钦佩福尔摩斯的勇敢无畏。他精通拳术、剑术，这使他身体健硕、身手敏捷，有资本去与凶手搏斗。在侯波案的最后关头，福尔摩斯在侯波（当时为了犯案做了马车夫）收拾行李时，眼疾手快地用手铐将他铐住，最后凶手落入法网，受到了法律的制裁。在红发会案件中，福尔摩斯与警员一同追捕罪犯，书中描写到“福尔摩斯一个箭步冲上去，一把揪住了小个子”。丝袜案中，罪犯运用一系列化学知识和科学技巧装神弄鬼，杀害了许多无辜的生灵；福尔摩斯不顾危险，毫不犹豫地与他交锋，中途几次危及生命，但是他还是义无反顾，最终罪犯也得到了相应的惩罚。

我敬重福尔摩斯的凛然正义。他一直在钻研着医学、化学，想为世界做出更多的贡献，拯救更多的人。在一次次的案件中，他并没有感到疲惫，为了黎民百姓的安全，他总是冲在最前面；他做这些并不是为了出名。在丝袜案中，有位记者在拍摄犯案现场和警员的照片用来写报道。镜头对准福尔摩斯时，福尔摩斯迅速的用手挡住了自己的面容——明明是一个名利双收的大好“机会”，但是他拒绝了。他这种正义是真正的正义。

在我们身边，有些人学识丰富，但是他们不勇敢、不正义，还用自己的学识来害人、骗人赚取污秽不义的钱财。有些人知识渊博、勇敢、正义，就像福尔摩斯一样，不在乎名与利，默默地为社会作出贡献；我想，这才是真正有价值的人生吧！而我，深受福尔摩斯这样一个学识丰富、勇敢、正义的绅士形象的影响，立志要成为一个像他一样对社会贡献出自己力量的人。

我深深、深深地崇拜着福尔摩斯，从而深深、深深地爱上了这本书；它教会了我许多，是我最宝贵的精神财富。

I am xx.  I was born in xx.  I graduate from senior high school and major in English.  I started learning English since I was 12 years old.  My parents have a lot of American friends.  That’s why I have no problem communicating with Americans or others by speaking English.

In my spare time, I like to do anything relating to English such as listening to English songs, watching English movies or TV programs, or even attending the activities held by some English clubs or institutes.  I used to go abroad for a short- term English study.  During that time, I learned a lot of daily life English and saw a lot of different things.

I think language is very interesting.  I could express one substanceby using different sounds.  So I wish I could study and read more English literatures and enlarge my knowledge.
