这本书主要讲了一个老人常年独自在海上打渔的生活.有一次他遇到了一条大鱼,但是在返回的路上遇到了成群的鲨鱼.老人使出浑身的解数和鲨鱼搏斗,鲨鱼把能吃的肉全部吃光了.结果老人拖回去的只是一副大鱼骨架.

我很佩服老人这种永不言败,面对困难毫不退缩的精神,而我正缺少这种精神与挑战困难的勇气.记得有一次,我在家做数学练习题,由于辅导书是小姨从外地带回的,一些题型并不熟悉,遇到难题就一跃而过了.这是,爸爸看见了,让我仔细读题,一遍读不懂再读一遍,直到读懂.在那时,我想起了那位老人面对困难锲而不舍的精神,这不正是我需要的吗?我下定决心,一定要迎难而上,把这些难题攻克.渐渐的,我喜欢上了做练习题,这也是对我学习的一种挑战和锻炼.无论学习还是工作,都需要这种精神.
