I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

端午节还有许多有趣的活动。列如赛龙舟，挂香囊，香囊内有朱砂、雄黄、香药，外包以丝布，清香四溢，再以五色丝线弦扣成索，作各种不同形状，结成一串，形形色色，玲珑夺目。还有挂艾叶、菖蒲的习惯。

My name is peter. I am six years old. I am from Taiwan. Many people ask me about my Chinese name because they think the meaning of it is very interesting. I usually play it with my friends after school, and I believe playing basketball will bring me good health. I am a talkative person. It is very difficult for me to keep quiet. It was sunny and hot today. I got up early at half past six. I read English and then had breakfast. I helped my mother washed the dishes. Then I did my homework and cleaned my room. I went shopping with my mother in the afternoon. Then I played table tennis with my friends. In the evening I watched TV and read a book. I really had a busy and interesting day.

春天的风和雨总是结伴而行的。早春，带点寒气的风吹醒了万物，树梢绿了，大地也绿了。宋朝的王安石有诗云：“春风又绿江南岸”，说得多好啊!但又何止一个“绿”字呢?

在风的吹拂下，满山遍野的野花睁开了眼，一朵、两朵;一丛、两丛……连成片，汇成海。人们面对这红的、黄的、蓝的……五彩缤纷的海洋，烦心没有了，萎靡没有了。感谢春天的色彩给我们带来向上的力量和信心。

要想饱览春天最浓的颜色，莫过于去看湖水了。朱自清先生曾写过梅花潭的绿，深得甚至有些微微发蓝。那是集叶片、草尖和天空为一体的颜色。在明澈、纯净、绿色的湖水中，无数条小鱼在畅游。

春天的绿是十分清新诱人的，但春天绝不仅仅限于绿色。

可以说，任何一个季节都没有春天的色彩缤纷，任何一种颜料都不可能把春天的所有颜色绘出。

再看看春天的天空吧!怎么天空也是五颜六色的使人眼花缭乱?啊，那是孩子们放的风筝。在蓝天白云的映照下，千姿百态的风筝潇洒自如地飘舞着，飞升着，多么使人心旷神怡的景象啊!春天属于孩子们，天空属于孩子们，然而他们不是同时也在努力地打扮着春天，增添着春天的色彩吗?

如果你俯下身子仔细审查，你会发现在悦目的色彩中，还有零星的枯黄，那是残冬留下的痕迹，你也许会叹息：“真是美中不足啊!”可是，剥去衰草枯黄的冬衣，你会有更新奇的发现：嘿!里面竟是绿的!原来外表枯黄的小草，也在孕育着，孕育着更美的春天。
