如今,地球生态环境已被人类活动严重破坏。尤其是水的污染更为突出。
首先让我们看一个可笑又悲哀的故事,一辆拖拉机在葛洲坝水库因没油而熄火,司机看见水库里成片浮油的水,便用水桶舀起浮油灌入油箱,拖拉机竟突突地开走了。由此可见,我国水污染的严重性,我市位于九龙江下游亚热带季风区,拥有丰富的淡水资源,10年前,走出家门几步就可以挑到饮用水,然而,随着经济的发展和人们生活水平的提高,水污染却日益严重,如今我市大部分河水已不能饮用,个别河流连供洗涤之用都不能,人们日常生活用水,只能靠自来水厂供应,一度水一块五毛钱,个别地方还超过二块钱,水污染已向人们敲响详尽。
水是地球上万物的命脉所在,水滋润万物、哺育生命、创造文明。中国水资源的分布极其不均匀。中国的人均水资源占有量低于500立方米,远远低于国际公认的人均所需1000立方米的临界值。北方许多大中城市因缺水造成工厂停产或限产,损失的年产值达1200亿元,南方一些城市也陆续出现水荒。目前全国600多座城市中,有300多家缺水,其中严重缺水的有108个,缺水量约为1000万吨/天左右。几百万人生活用水紧张……
面对“滴水贵如油”的水资源,而人类对它的浪费和污染却是令人痛心的:据统计,全世界污水排放量已达到4000亿立方米,使5.5万亿立方米水体受到污染,占全世界径流总量的14%以上。
水与空气,食品是人类生命和健康的三大要素。
人体的50%到60%的重量是水份,儿童体内水份多达80%。没有水,就没有生命。地球上的淡水资源只占地球水资源总量的3%,而这3%淡水中,可直接饮用只有0.5%。所以说,水是人类宝贵资源,是生命之泉。
然而,水污染在世界上相当普遍而又严重。当水中的有害物质超出了水体的自净能力,这就会产生污染。这些有害物质包括农药,重金属及其化合物等有毒物质,各种废气物和放射性物质等。
水污源的来源主要是未加工的处理的工业废水,生活废水。
死亡有机污染它来源于未经处理的城市生活污水、造纸污水、农业污水及都市垃圾。死亡有机质能消耗水中溶解的氧气,危及鱼类的生存;还能导致水中缺氧,致使需要氧气的微生物死亡。而正是这些需氧微生物能够分解有机质,维持着河流、小溪的自我净化能力。它们死亡的后果是:河流和溪流发黑、变臭,毒素积累,伤害人畜。
有机和无机化学药品污染这些化学药品来源于化工厂、药厂、造纸厂、印染厂和制革厂的废水,以及建筑装修、干洗行业、化学洗剂、农用杀虫剂、除草剂等。绝大部分有机品会积累在水生生物体内,致使人食用后中毒。被有机化学药品污染的水难以得到净化,人类的饮水安全和健康受到威胁。
