Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English. The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words. Some may have problems in reading. Others may have trouble in writing. I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening. My best festival is Spring Festival. It is in Janurary or February. It is the most important festival for the Chinese people. On that day everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper.

People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.Burning fireworks was once the most typical custom on the Spring Festival. I like spring festival very much. Its my favourite holiday.

I’m a student of a university. I’m short and thin with thick glasses. I usually go to the library on weekday afternoons. I always read in the library from morning till night on Saturdays and Sundays.

There are fifteen reading rooms in the library. I like reading in the No.15 Reading Room. It is on the fifth floor. The reading room is clean and tidy. It is small but quiet. The librarian is an old woman. She is very kind to me.

One Sunday morning I saw a girl standing there when I came into the No.15 Reading Room.

She gave me a book. I was very surprised. The book which I wanted to read was in my hand! “The old librarian and I live in the same building,” said the girl. “And your teacher, Professor Li, lives next to me.
