When I was a freshman in college I watched the film Gua Sha Treatment for the first time, now I am a junior student and I come back to review the movie from a multicultural aspect, I have many different feelings after watching the film again.

How many non-American people have such a beautiful American dream? One of my classmate studies in American now and before he went aboard he told me his American dream is he can stand at the top of the New York. To be honest, I also dream that one day I can get the Green Card living there happily and successfully maybe working at the Wall Street. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

At the Christmas Eve Xu wants to return back to his home pretending as a Santa Claus, what a pity, the security recognizes him and persuades ‘you are always a good tenement, never causes troubles for me.’ And another scene is at the end of the film , the judge says ‘I have to follow the procedure.’ However, in China people always have to ask for a favor to do something, and later you have to pay back the favor ，for myself, I prefer the American style, strict to the procedure.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

My Feelings after reading Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights is a well-written tragedy of love. After reading the whole story, I would like to talk about the main characters of the story—Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff love each other very much, but they do not have the right attitude towards love, which leads to the tragedy.

In Catherine’s life, she made a very foolish decision---marrying to Edgar. In fact, her love for Edgar can never be compared to that for Heathcliff. 小说写的很真实，无论是历史，宗教，手工艺，还是人的感情。虽然有关很多历史我都不太清楚，穆斯林的宗教文化我也不甚了解，但是看完这书，就是觉得，很多东西好像就那么真真切切的放在面前，大到一个葬礼，小到一块玉。

作者在后序中说，“我和主人公一起生活。每天从早到晚，又夜以继日。我为他们的欢乐而欢乐，为他们的痛苦而痛苦。我已经舍不得和我的人物分开。当我把他们一个一个地送离人间的时候，我被生死离别折磨得痛彻肺腑。”然而故事中的人，还是要离开，一个又一个，排着队似的，不紧不慢地离开。悲剧故事都不可避免的如此。

印象最深的是，韩子奇身处英国伦敦时给家里寄去的那封信。说是一封信，却也只是简单的一句话——“我们还活着。你们还活着吗?”还活着吗……在那样一个战争动乱年间，信竟然是这样写的，如此的问候，我心里一阵凄凉，一滴眼泪往下落。

在这本厚重的书里，可以看到两代人的凄美爱情，看到爱情中的无奈和悲哀。有时候我们确实是爱着的，但也因为爱着，才会感到无奈，做出些伤到别人也伤到自己的事。

一天闲来无事，我倚窗盘坐，翻开了一本被我遗忘在一边，封面早已灰尘满满的书——《鲁滨逊漂流记》。

读完这本精彩的小说后，一个高大的形象时时浮现在我的眼前，他就是勇敢的探险家、航海家鲁滨孙。他那顽强的毅力，永不放弃的精神，深深吸引着我。

鲁滨逊放弃了富裕而又舒适的生活，开始航海，然而这是一次与死神决斗的生存大挑战。他第一次航海就流落荒岛，但这并没有使鲁滨孙，向苦难低头他将船上的食物、衣物，凡是能用到的东西他都搬上荒岛，他不仅自己在岛上种植大麦和稻子，自制木杵、筛子，加工面粉，烘出了粗糙的面包；而且还制作陶器等等，保证了自己的生活需要。

鲁滨逊长达二十几年对生的希望就是毅力，我不禁想到现在的一些人们，他们有的只因为受到了一点点小挫折，就产生了轻生的念头。跟鲁滨逊比起来他们所遇到的困难是多么的渺小，多么的微不足道。

读完之后，我也不禁反省自己：如果我流落到孤岛，能活几天？一天？两天？我又能干些什么？会劈柴？会打猎做饭？所以重今天开始我做事一定要亲力亲为，这样遇到困难就不用害怕了。

In the future , I decide to study hard .I do everything that I can do to reduce the pressure of parents .I will try my best to be brave and intelligent. I believe I can do better.

On Sister Carrie Carrie was such an ordinary rural girl at the beginning of the story. Sitting on the seat of a bus she couldn’t help feeling exciting at the sight of the metropolis’ spectacle. However, unlike other ones, this story first delineates the client’s strange behavior at length to indicate the severity of the incident in order to attract the readers to continue reading it. As is known to all, vivid depiction is essential to detective stories since it can help the readers understand each figure’s characteristics and visualize the scenes, thus making the story more authentic and attractive. Therefore, trying to present a “real world” to his readership, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the original “Holmes series”, has skillfully arranged the plots of the whole story from the perspective of Dr. Watson, a character not so specialized in discovering the truth hidden behind the enigmatic happenings as Holmes but so loyal to Sherlock Homes as a friend that he always accompanies Holmes wherever he goes. In this way, he elaborately depicted every scene and character in the book, Apart from the special start, the ending of the whole story, being dramatic but reasonable, is certainly an outstanding one. After all, except the author himself, who knows that the Duke’s seemingly ordinary secretary is in fact the Duke’s bastard? In addition, who knows that the Duke actually has already been acquainted with the whole thing before Holmes solves this complicated problem? Yet, surprising as it is, this ending seems so natural that it fits all the plots of the story perfectly well. Closing my eyes, I can even “see” the story happening just like watching a film. Not until then did I understand why the Japanese cartoon film Detective Conan used this “Conan” as the name of its hero.
