Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. 看完了整个故事，我的内心受到了极大的震撼。刚刚流落荒岛的时候，鲁滨逊他也曾痛苦过，绝望过，从他将荒岛命名为“绝望岛”就可以知道这一点。但是他很快就从痛苦和绝望中走了出来，生的欲望激励着他奋勇向前。因为他知道，一切的困难和磨难都只是暂时的，精彩，就在不远的前方。在他的不懈努力下，他越活越精彩，也正因为这样，他才能够在20年之后得以重返故乡。

盖上书本，我不由得感慨万千。再想想我自己，我心中暗自羞愧。记得那是在我上五年级的时候，有一次，我们一家和叔叔婶婶他们等几个家庭一起出外旅游。那里有一条玻璃栈道吸引了无数的游客，我们也慕名前往。那栈道嵌在崖壁之上。天生恐高的我一站到上面，顿时就头昏目眩，刚走出三两步，我就有一种要往下坠落的感觉。叔叔婶婶他们一直在鼓励着我往前看，不要紧盯着自己的脚底下。
