This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist the hero is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was coming but he was wrong a group of thieves were waiting for him.

The author created a group of bad men.

Fagin an old man with a horribly ugly face and red hair was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.

Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.

Monks Oliver’s brother did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.

Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him. Actually she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow an old friend of Oliver’s father took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie Harry Maylie’s mother saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is we can’t give up we must try our best to solve it.

From Oliver Twist I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.

I once read a book named “Charlottes Web ".It talks about a very moving story which is one of the most remarkablely beautiful memory in my childhood.

For what he had done to Hassan, he had led a live with regret and suffered endless sleepless nights. His going back to Afghanistan is not only a journey physically but a journey to atonement. Hassan’s son, his nephew saved, Amir’s sin was finally washed. Like the life of circle, Amir ran kite for his miserable nephew.As Hassan did to him, he said “for you , a thousand times over” to Sohrab.Though the book doesn’t give us an accurate ending whether Sohrab came into life again. I am sure love can cure everything. Only when Sohrab lives a happy life as Hassan hoped can Amir’s sin washed up.

The friendship between Hassan and Amir moved me. I believe All the people who read it is going to be touched just as I am. This book does make me think the good and the bad ,what’s wrong and what’s right, the cruelty of war . Few books can exert an influence on people nowadays, this book sure does.

12、一觉醒来，天已大亮。这时，风暴已过，天气晴朗，海面上也不像以前那样波浪滔天了。然而，最使我惊异的是，那只搁浅的大船，在夜里被潮水浮出沙滩后，又给冲到我先前被撞伤的那块岩石附近。现在这船离岸仅一海里左右，并还好好地停在那儿。我想我若能上得大船，就可以拿出一些日常生活的必需品。

13、常言道，富得快，麻烦来。我的情形完全是这样。第二年，我的种植园大获成功。我从自己的地里收了五十捆烟叶，除了供应当地的需要外，还剩下很多。这五十捆烟叶每捆一百多磅重;我都把它们晒好存放起来，专等那些商船从里斯本回来。这时，生意发展，资财丰厚，我的头脑里又开始充满了各种不切实际的计划和梦想。这种虚妄的念头往往会毁掉最有头脑的商人。

14、由于缺乏适当的工具，一切工作进行得特别吃力。我花了差不多整整一年的时间，才把我的小木栅或围墙建筑好。就拿砍木桩而言，木桩很重，我只能竭尽全力选用我能搬得动的。我化很长时间在树林里把树砍下来削好，至于搬回住处就更费时间了。有时，我得化两天的时间把一根木桩砍下削好再搬回来，第三天再打入地里。作为打桩的工具，我起初找了一块很重的木头;后来才想到了一根起货用的铁棒;可是，就是用铁棒，打桩的工作还是非常艰苦、非常麻烦的。

15、事后想起来，我父亲最后这几句话，成了我后来遭遇的预言;当然我相信我父亲自己当时未必意识到有这种先见之明。我注意到，当我父亲说这些话的时候，老泪纵横，尤其是他讲到我大哥陈尸战场，讲到我将来呼援无门而后悔时，更是悲不自胜，不得不中断了他的谈话。最后，他对我说，他忧心如焚，话也说不下去了。

16、然后，我用从船上截下来的那些缆索，沿着半圆形，一层一层地堆放在两排木桩之间，一直堆到顶上，再用一些两英尺半高的木桩插进去支撑住缆索，仿佛柱子上的横茶。这个篱笆十分结实牢固，不管是人还是野兽，都无法冲进来或攀越篱笆爬进来。这项工程，花了我不少时间和劳力，尤其是我得从树林里砍下粗枝做木桩，再运到草地上，又一一把它们打入泥土，这工作尤其费力费时。

18、我又花了极大的力气，把前面讲到的我的全部财产，全部粮食、弹药武器和补给品，一一搬到篱笆里面，或者可以说搬到这个堡垒里来。我又给自己搭了一个大帐篷用来防雨，因为这儿一年中有一个时期常下倾盆大雨。我把帐篷做成双层的;也就是说，里面一个小的，外面再罩一个大的，大帐篷上面又盖上一大块油布。那油布当然也是我在船上搜集帆布时一起拿下来的。

19、可以说，这是我一生冒险活动中唯一成功的一次航行。这完全应归功于我那船长朋友的正直无私。在他的指导下，我还学会了一些航海的数学知识和方法，学会了记航海日志和观察天文。一句话，懂得了一些做水手的基本常识。他乐于教我，我也乐于跟他学。总之，这次航行使我既成了水手，又成了商人。这次航行，我带回了五磅零九盎司金沙;回到伦敦后，我换回了约三百英镑，赚了不少钱。这更使我踌躇满志，因而也由此断送了我的一生。

《鲁滨孙漂流记》是英国著名作家丹尼尔.笛福在他晚年写的，记述了主人公鲁滨逊在一次航行中，不幸遇上了海难，整个船上只有他一个人幸存了下来，而他漂流到了一个荒岛上。鲁滨逊在这个荒岛上种庄稼、盖房子，历尽了磨难，生存下来。但想回人间的心切，使他着迷般地只想如何走出这个鬼地方，经过一次次的努力与失败，终于，他在1868年回到了阔别28年的祖国。看着鲁滨逊的经历，让我可以想像到他在孤岛生活的艰辛，使我体验到他不屈不挠的冒险精神，让我对他肃然起敬;看着鲁滨逊的经历，使我深刻体会到鲁滨逊是一个永不知疲倦，永不安生的行动者。理智明达的他不屑守成，倾心开拓，三番五次抛开幸福之家，出海闯天下。他肯于劳动并且善于劳动，总是充分利用自己的头脑和双手奋斗着，历尽千辛万苦，一次又一次地创造出财富。展示在人们眼前的这个人物不禁令人遐思。主人公身上闪现的奋斗的火花难道不值得我们学习?其实，当今社会就需要这样的奋斗人才，会创造财富的人才，这样，我国才会快速发展。 可是，现在社会上却有一些人不但不肯付出汗水，而且一心想着吃现成饭， 总以为不付诸行动就可以拥有财富， 那些流落街头的乞丐不就证明了这一点吗? 他们一味 “ 哭诉 ” 自己的命运如何如何悲惨，却从来不用自己的双手去奋斗，为求 得生存乃至幸福奋斗不息， 甚至不觉得靠行乞来生活是一件多么没面子的事。 在 他们身上就大大缺乏像鲁滨逊那样的拼劲和对美好生活执著追求的信念。 再一想， 其实在我们学习生活中不同样需要具备鲁滨逊那样的不懈努力的精神吗?如果 没有像鲁滨逊一样的不懈努力的精神， 那我们还能算学习吗?作为新世纪的栋梁， 没有不懈努力的精神，何谈 “ 栋梁 ” 二字?在鲁滨逊看来，天底下没有什么人克 服不了的困难， 只要充分利用自己的智慧与双手， 一切难题都可以迎刃而解。 我 们的学习也一样， 必须相信自己有能力学好各门功课， 这样在学习的过程中才会 有一股动力不断促使我们上进。 同时， 我们还要以力求做得更好， 力求精益求精作为标准。

Little Women

Before I read this book, I had watched a cartoon movie made by Japan. So I have a strong interest on it.

It all begins in the dead of winter; The Christmas Season. The coldest one of all, were the war has made fuel for heating very scarce. While her husband is off at war, Marmee is left alone to raise their four daughters: Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy.

On Christmas Eve, Marmee has just arrived home from passing out food to the less fortunate with a letter from her husband, the girls father. The all gather together around the fire to read the letter. Afterwards, the girls are teary eyed. Marmee kisses them and they are off to bed.

Jo is longing to become a writer. So, every night she stays up late writing the script for soap operas. As morning comes she is the last one awake. The table is set, and food prepared for their Christmas feast.

As dusk falls, the girls are all up in the attic acting out Jos play, which she reads from the local (fake) newspaper. As they are performing, their rich, next-door neighbors grandson watches from the window.

The 2 oldest girls: Jo and Meg, get ready to attend the Christmas Ball. While Jo is curling Megs hair, there is a strange smell to the air. Amy screams, Megs hair is being singed. They continue digging through the old clothes bin for a pair of white gloves.

One of the prominent themes in Little Women is the coming of age or maturation of the girls. During the course of the novel we see them grow in many ways -- physically, intellectually, and especially emotionally. One question which readers must ask themselves is whether the views the characters have on the coming of age process are shared by Alcott. If they arent, what are Alcotts views and how do they differ from those of the women in her story?

It is interesting to examine the last half of Chapter 20, "Confidential." Jo addresses the maturation issue as she speaks with Marmee of the situation between Meg and Mr. Brooke. The possible love between these two represents one of the very important aspects in coming of age for a teenage girl. Jo treats this natural process as if it were some sort of disease, however. Jo cannot understand why Meg would want to stop behaving "like a sensible creature" (p.202)， and refers to love as "such nonsense."

鲁滨逊曾经这样说道：“我的脾气是要决心做一件事情，不成功决不放手”、“我会尽力而为，只要我还能划水，我就不肯被淹死，只要我还能站立，我就不肯倒下……”他没有助手，工具不全，缺乏经验，所以做任何事情都要花很大的劳力，费好长的时间。连做一块木版都要四十二天。他作的许多事情都是白费力气，没有成功，但他从来不灰心失望，总是总结了失败的经验又重新开始。辛勤的劳动换来了令人欣慰的回报，他最后变得有船用，有面包吃，有陶器用，有种植园，有牧场，有两处较“豪华”的住所……这些没有一件不是费了很多力气，付出了无数汗水、克服了许多困难才换来的。这样的生活对于那时的鲁滨逊来说，可以算得上豪华了。相比那些遇到问题便退缩的人来说，鲁滨逊是多么的坚强啊!

其实，现在的很多人都是那些遇到问题便退缩，不敢勇敢面对困难。不仅如此，现在很多人都是独生子女，很多家长视子女为掌上明珠，不要说冒险了，连小小的家务也不让小孩子做，天天总是说：“我的小宝贝啊，你读好书就行了，其他的就等爸爸妈妈做就是了。”读书固然重要，但生活的小事也不能忽略。想一想，在荒无人烟的孤岛上，如果你连家务都不会做，你能生存到吗?读完这部著作后，我不禁反问自己：“如果我像书中的鲁滨逊那样在大海遭到风暴，我能向他那样与风暴搏斗，最后逃离荒岛获救吗?恐怕我早已被那大海所淹没，被鱼虾所吞食;如果我漂流到孤岛，能活几天?一天?两天?我又能干些什么?我会劈柴吗?会打猎做饭吗?我连洗自己衣服还笨手笨脚呢!我们应该学习他这种不怕困难的精神，无论何时何地都坚强地活下去，哪怕只有一线希望也要争取，决不能放弃!我们要像鲁滨逊那样有志气、有毅力、爱劳动，凭自己的双手创造财富，创造奇迹，取得最后的胜利。

故事的主人公是一个叫鲁宾逊的英国人。

两年之后，鲁滨逊得到了一个可以逃跑的机会。海盗的领头邀请几位朋友出海游玩，派鲁宾逊和其他两名奴隶捉几条大鱼招待客人，鲁宾逊就利用这个机会逃跑了。

在逃跑的过程中，他遇到了一艘商船的船长把鲁宾逊送到巴西以后就走了。

他在巴西生活四年后，三个商人约他出海，最后，船遭遇大风暴，鲁宾逊流落荒岛，不几天，那艘船的剩余部分漂流到了荒岛的附近，鲁宾逊上船拿走有用的东西，开始了荒岛生活。

最后，他遇到了一位被手下抢走位置的船长，帮助船长收复大船后，船长送鲁宾逊回了家，结束了长达28年的孤岛生活。

读了这本书，我深深的体会到了他乐观向上，百折不屈的精神，我要向鲁宾逊的这种精神学习！

天命难测，使人生显得多么光怪陆离。然而鲁滨孙的人生是这样的吗?读完这部书后，一个强壮。勇敢。坚毅的英雄时时浮荡在我的脑海。顾名思义，他便是这部书的主人公——鲁滨孙。
