江青1915年生于山东诸城，原名李云鹤，1929年15岁的李云鹤进入山东省立实验剧院学了一年多话剧，这为她以后成为演员奠定了基础，也是她在以后工作中充满表现欲的根源。和封建时期的中国其他女孩子的命运一样，1931年5月年仅18岁的她嫁给富家子弟裴明伦，而仅仅两个月后与却又与其离婚。1932年，李云鹤与大她三岁的***地下宣传部长俞启威(黄敬)同居，并在俞介绍下，加入中国***，被任命为中国***青年支部委员。在俞启威被捕后李云鹤逃往上海，从而开始了以蓝苹为艺名的演艺生涯。先后出演了《娜拉》、《自由神》、《都市风光》、《狼山喋血记》、《大雷雨》、《王老五》等影片并受到好评。

蓝苹的感情生活比她的戏剧更丰富的，在此期间她先与与影评人唐纳同居，后与导演章泯同居。受革命思潮的影响，七七事变之后蓝苹离开上海到延安参加革命，并改名为江青。1939年，在***政治局不同意的状况下毛泽东与江青结婚，从而开始了江青一生中最为重要的政治生涯。

江青在文革前担任中宣部电影处处长。由于她搞出几部现代题材的戏剧，且思想性与艺术性兼优，已在中国文艺界崭露头角。但直到文革前夕，她都未正式参与中共的政治活动。1965年春天，毛泽东在秘密寻找文革的开路先锋时，看中了江青，让她潜赴沪上，联络姚文元，藉批判《海瑞》之机，行捣毁北京市委之实。1965年11月，受毛泽东指示，在上海组织编写《评新编历史剧〈海瑞罢官〉》，成为发动“文化大革命”的导火线。后来得到林彪支持，在上海主持召开部队文艺工作座谈会。一面组织力量改编《红灯记》、《沙家浜》、《智取威虎山》等“样板戏”，一面“批判”、禁绝各种戏剧、音乐、舞蹈等文艺作品，造成“八亿人民八部戏”的局面。同年夏文化大革命开始后，她任中央文革小组第一副组长、解放军文革小组顾问。至此，可以说文革的大权事实上已经掌握在江青手中。

文革开始后，江青逐渐走上政治前台，也开始了对政治权利的追求。她认为，自己30年代作演员时的经历，不应该再被别人提起来。1966年10月，江青通过林彪的夫人叶群，让空军派人到上海，在电影界人士郑君里、童芷苓、陈鲤庭、顾而己、赵丹的家中搜查有关自己的材料，凡是书信、日记本、笔记本、稿纸之类的东西都拿了回来。搜到的材料，很快就送到北京烧毁了。并以“特务”、“叛徒”、“历史反革命”等罪名对郑君里、赵丹、张瑞芳、顾而已等18名知道江青的底细的人进行迫害。

1966年11月28日，“首都文艺界无产阶级文化大革命大会”在人民大会堂举行，台下是江青“统率”的“文艺大军”。这次大会，可以说是江青作为“文艺革命的旗手”的登基典礼。江青在讲话中提及“大家知道，在三十多年前，鲁迅曾经是领导文化革命的伟大旗手”，此言一出，台下立即加以“延伸”，把她加封为“领导无产阶级文艺革命的伟大旗手”。“旗手”之冠便由此而来。

这时候的江青，还处于“夺权”的阶段，并与林彪密切合作。1966年林彪委托在上海召开部队文艺工作座谈会，是一件表明江青、林彪两个反革命集团公开结合的事情。在工作方法上也各有自己的创造。江青和林彪都讲究仪式。林彪发明手持小红书，口喊“敬祝毛主席万寿无疆!”要求群众作出“敬祝林副主席永远健康!”的呼应。而江青也有自己的创造，她的仪式是她呼唤“同志们好”，要求群众呼应“向江青同志致敬!向江青同志学习!”这也是江青具有表现欲体现。

1969年江青进入***政治局。她与张春桥、姚文元、王洪文结成“四人帮”。进而成为毛泽东晚年时代的中国最有影响力的政治人物之一。江青在文革小组的权力，大到可以用***、国务院、中央军委、文革小组名义联名颁发文件的程度。人们理所当然地不敢说出对她任何不满。

1976年打倒邓小平是江青最后一次胜利。在这之后江青走向末日。1976年10月6日因文化大革命期间“反革命”活动而被逮捕。1977年7月中共第十届三中全会决定江青被永远开除党籍，1980年11月至1981年1月接受中华人民共和国最高人民法院特别法庭公审，被判处死刑，缓期2年执行。1983年1月依法减为无期徒刑。1991年5月14日，在北京保外就医的江青，用两根鞋带栓在一起在床之间的空挡中结束自己的生命。而江青的自杀也正说明她是一位性格刚烈的女子。

生活中的江青喜欢拍照和看戏，并且喜欢将自己喜爱的文物据为己有，据查，仅被江青拿走的印章、字画、古墨、古砚、金表等，就达743件。她一人霸占了8辆轿车。她在北京、天津、广州、武汉、杭州、青岛、北戴河等地霸占住房27处。

江青曾自称是“毛主席的一条狗，让我咬谁就咬谁”。毛泽东需要江青这样的助手，与此同时，文革后期也有意把责任推给她承担，林彪已死，她便成为千夫所指的对象。

江青有文才、口才，有艺术素养，更有政治欲望。在波诡云谲的时代，她成为文革的牺牲品，这是她人生的一大悲剧。

我们要实事求是，现在江青已经判刑了，我主张恢复历史真相，这样可以让人们更加清楚地辨别经验教训，江青这个人，她由于长期在毛主席身边，同样有着许多在今天看来都应该是很难得的好传统和好的作风。比如，她从不接受任何人的礼品，我从大寨回来给她捎带点特产，她从来都是付钱的。她这样对我说：老陈，我们都是毛主席培养起来的干部，我们要自觉地接受和服从党的纪律，抵制资产阶级法权的侵袭。我们不要搞那套请客送礼的资产阶级作风，但是买卖公平还是许可的。钱我一定要付你，送的东西我也要收。我们之间的交往完全在党的原则和范围内进行。据我了解，她不但是对我这样，对其他同志也是这样。就是他和张春桥、姚文员、王洪文之间也是这样的。我亲眼见到的一件事情，一次，王洪文给江青从上海带来一些药品，大概是他没有给上海付钱。江青一直追问他付钱没有，最后江青从自己的工资里拿出三百多块钱，交给王洪文。一定要他把钱给厂家，你们都知道江青是喜欢照相的。她使用的相机和胶卷都是她自己掏钱买的，她对我说：我每月的工资除付了伙食费和外出花销外，几乎全买了书和胶卷了，我的钱实在是不够花呀!但是我绝不多占国家一分钱的光，我要以身作则，做一个真正的马克思列宁主义者。

毛主席批评江青，我看完全是对她的一种爱护。绝不是要打倒她，这些，我们政治局的同志都看得清楚。
