The tomb sweeping day is one of the traditional festivals in China. On April 5th, people start to visit their ancestors’ tombs. It’s a symbol of the offspring’s respect to the ancestors. People believe that the forbears will share the food with them. The children dedicate the food and money to their forbears in order to show their love and caring. The young offspring will go down on their knees and pray for their ancestors. They can say their wishes in front of the tombs and the ancestors will make their dreams come true.

In some provinces of China, people use different activities to commemorate this day, for instance, spring-outing, swinging, tree planting and making special food. One special food is Ay Tsao rice balls. It looks like Tang-yuan, but its colour is green. Mix the ay tsao juice with the rice powder, then make it into small balls. The Ay Tsao rice ball is done. People believe that eating ay tsao rice balls can get rid of the bad luck and everything will go smoothly. Other activities such as spring outing, tree planting are the other ways to commemorate the forbears. For one thing, it is a sign that people should look into the future and embrace the hope; for another thing, we do hope our ancestor rest in peace.

My favorite animal is the dolphin. They live in the ocean. And they are

cute and beautiful. They not only swim fast, but are also smart. Their color is

gray. They can swim and jump in the ocean. They look like fish, but they are

mammals. Dolphins can be trained by people because they can learn things very

quickly. They are very friendly, so I love them very much.

National Day, Mom and Dad took me to Suzhou on Saturday farm, where fun.

There, I ride the horse, when the back of the brave little knight. I gave the old goat the leaves, my God! 外研版英语教材的后记中写道：“希望同学们在英语学习中大胆开口说——课上说、课下说;要尽量主动使用英语来表达意思和做事情”可见，教材编写者就有这样的初衷，但认真做到的或是支持的人很少。

语言总归是要用的，把知识局限于教材和作业上，就能真正学好英语吗?

It is a nice day. Our class will have a field trip today. The classmates are very excited. Look! Here we are. There’re a lot of activities to do. Amy is watching insects. Peter is collecting leaves. 快乐的一天

今天我感觉妈妈跟变了一个人似的，妈妈的变化给了我快乐的一天，但愿时间永远定格在今天。

高一那年，我们终于有英语课了。学英语，是我由来已久的心愿，因为姐姐老在我面前显摆，有时，她朝我咕噜一句就咯咯地笑，坏笑。那时我就想学英语。

我喜欢上英语课。但我越来越不喜欢英语老师。有一次，我问她，good和nice有什么不同，她想了一会儿，什么也没说就走了。类似的情况时有发生。高三下学期，我们班来了新英语老师，男老师，很帅，而且名字很好听，向往。向老师讲课很生动，他能用一个单词说出很多句子，甚至小故事，很幽默搞笑的那种。课下我想起来就想笑，笑着笑着就把英语单词记牢了。向老师经常在课堂上提问我，每次我都对答如流。那天，向老师讲love的用法，不知道为什么，我的心突然跳了一下，脸也有点热。我开始偷偷打量向老师:浓黑的眉毛，笔挺的鼻子，微尖的下巴上趴着两撇小胡须，真好看，尤其他的眼神，仿佛永远带电作业，我都不敢直视呢。正胡思乱想着，向老师突然叫我，让我用1ove说一句话。我站起来就说，“Iloveyou.”这时，向老师的脸红了，教室里充斥着同学们想笑又不敢笑的噗噗嗤嗤的声音。课后听同学说，向老师一连叫了我好几遍我才听见。那天放学后，向老师把我叫到办公室，他说，“你今天造的句子不错，可是……”我躲开向老师的眼神，“老师，我……”我终于鼓起勇气，呜噜出嘴边的“Iloveyou.”这时，向老师背过脸，对着窗外望了一会儿，又回过头来望着我说，“谢谢你的love，让我们把它放到心底，并一起为它努力，好吗?”我点点头，高兴的眼泪都出来了。从那以后，为了我和向老师心底里的“love”，我更加努力学习英语。有一次，向老师带我去市里参加英语比赛，因为晕场，不到半场我就出来了。一直等在门外的向老师走过来，望着我，轻轻拍着胸口说，“Iloveyou”。像一抹清凉剂涂抹额头，又像一缕春风吹拂心湖，我即时神清目爽，信心百倍地返回赛场。

毕业茶话会上，我无心和同学说笑，心湖里浮泛着一个声音。我目不转睛地盯着门口，我从来没那么急切地想见到向老师，我想对他大声喊:I1oveyou!哪怕向老师脸红，哪怕同学们哂笑。可直到曲终人散，灯火阑珊里也没有向老师的影子。有同学告诉我，向老师结婚去了。同学还说，为了高考，向老师推迟了婚期，为此，他未婚妻很不高兴呢。
