元宵有很多种口味：黑芝麻、蓝莓、巧克力等等，其中我最爱吃黑芝麻的了，外皮滑溜溜的(呵呵，听起来怎么那么像肥皂?)咬一口馅就出来了，不是那么甜得发腻，也没有那么淡。好吃!嘻……

我们也去看了花灯。刚入广场大门，可以看到两只高抬着头的凤凰，下面整齐地站着卖荧光棒的小贩，嘴里不停喊着：“走过路过别错过!”走到中间，看见一个大碗，釉色清晰明朗，真像明代的青花瓷!碗的下面还有还有“配餐”:大葱、辣椒、彩椒、西红柿。大碗的前面是一个小舞台，舞台后有八只张牙舞爪的长龙，威风凛凛。大碗的后面是三座冰雕，全是具有古典风格的房屋!大碗的左面是十二生肖有牛、虎、羊……咦?这是老鼠还是松鼠?

晚上，我们看了烟花。呵!从铁人广场一直排出两、三千米，这也验证了一个谜语：世界上最长的车是什么车?答：堵车。我不耐烦了，和妈咪下车看。烟花有红色、橙色、金黄色、绿色、紫色，那最好看的烟花也是最大的：砰，砰，砰，三个金黄色的烟花，形成了一个金黄色的树，漂亮极了。还有“黄金瀑布”、“变色花”……

今年，我们欢欢喜喜的闹了元宵节。

今天晚上，我们吃过晚饭，就和爷爷奶奶一起去荔枝湾看花灯。

到了荔枝湾，我们看见两排舞狮立在两旁，张着嘴巴，好像在说：“欢迎欢迎！热烈欢迎！”两条威武的飞龙立在石碑两旁，夺取石碑上面的珠。石碑后有一条江，叫做荔枝江。江里有许多人造的巨大的荷花。有的只是一朵花苞，有的已经开得非常茂盛。我仿佛看见有几只青蛙在荷叶上捕食，蜻蜓在水里产卵的情景，有几只仙鹤立在一座假山上，有的昂首挺胸，有的低头捕鱼，还有的单脚站着睡觉呢！再往前走，会有一座塔，有十二只动物围着它，分别是鼠、牛、虎、兔、龙、蛇、马、羊、猴、鸡、狗、猪。也就是十二生肖。听奶奶说，围着这座塔走一圈，就会有好福气。最漂亮的就要指那个用灯做成的一个洞了。这个洞是用许多条灯架成一个半圆形，就像一座桥。走进这里就仿佛走进了一个花的世界用花编织成花藤。花瓣满天飞舞，美丽极了！

我们围着荔枝湾走了一圈，就依依不舍地回家了。

“张灯结彩闹元宵，火树银花不夜天。”今天我和妈妈去趵突泉公园看花灯了。

进入趵突泉大门，首先映入眼帘的是“群鼠闹春“的景象，五光十色的灯光把门口照得如同白昼。沿着挂满红灯笼的小路，我看到一组”嫦娥奔月“的花灯，展示了我国航天事业的进步和发展。来到了漱玉泉边，看到了由奥运五环和福娃造型组成的花灯，笑迎中国奥运年的到来。公园里人来人往，各色花灯令人目不暇接，流连忘返。

我最喜欢的是“白塔”花灯，它由八个不同高度、不同造型的白塔组合在一起，最特别的是它是用瓷盘、瓷碗等制成的。公园里最高的花灯是“千手观音”，它高13米，做了800多只手，全身涂满金粉，在灯光下闪闪发光，美丽极了。

今天我观赏了美丽的花灯，学到了许多知识，我很开心。我盼望着下一个元宵节的到来。

"Fifteenth day Lantern Festival, is booming too small to years." The annual Lantern Festival coming 啦!

This year Mom and Dad took me to the Nanjing Confucius Temple to see the lanterns into the Confucius Temple Wende Bridge, greeted not only by imposing and vigorous figure-wai tiger lanterns, but also snow-white rabbit lamp, auspicious pigeon light, golden yellow Orange light ... ... really all kinds, rich and colorful. The whole night, according to the Nanjing Confucius Temple, as the Lantern Festival the same day.

Lantern Exhibition Center is more beautiful, dazzling array of lanterns here, people get confused by it all, but come to see. Look at peach light pink background, peach sharp point on the painted red, peach at the end there is a large green leaves really are beautiful and simple. Look at that tiger lamp, after making a good framework, with shiny gold frame with paper to live, so that a life-like tiger immediately displayed before the eyes. Look at that dragon, chasing Sarah writhed up and down the whole body glittering scales, the dragons tail kept swinging. Watch People can not help but shout: "Long live 啦! Long live 啦!" There are really hard to describe ... ... ah!

Out of the Confucius Temple, firecrackers exploding in the air, as if the sky ripped a hole in the sky look at the stars from the sky Caesar down. Quick look ah! Colorful fireworks far away from heaven, suddenly lit up outside the city of Nanjing.

Back to the home is evening Shidianzuoyou, my mother gave us each a bowl of cooked glutinous rice balls. We are a family of three eating glowing of sweet rice balls, a real insight into the round and round affection.

Ah, the Lantern Festival, really happy!

“正月十五闹元宵，红红火火过小年”。一年一度的元宵节来临啦！

今年爸爸妈妈带我到南京夫子庙看花灯，走进夫子庙文德桥，映入眼帘的不仅有虎虎生威的虎灯笼，而且还有雪白的兔子灯、吉祥的鸽子灯、金黄色的橘灯……真是各式各样、丰富多彩。把整南京夫子庙元宵节夜晚照的如同白天一样。

花灯展示中心更为漂亮，这儿琳琅满目的花灯使人眼花缭乱，看都看不过来。看那桃灯，粉红的底色，桃尖上涂点红色，桃底有翠绿的大叶子，真是既漂亮又简单。再看那虎灯，制作好框架后，用闪闪发亮的金纸糊住框架，这样，一只栩栩如生的老虎就立刻展现在了眼前。再看那龙灯，追着宝珠上下翻腾，全身的鳞片金光闪闪，龙的尾巴不停地摆动。观看的人们情不自禁地喊：“龙活啦！龙活啦！”还有……真是一言难尽啊！

走出夫子庙，爆竹在空中炸响，仿佛把天空炸开了一个洞，满天的星星从天空一下撒了下来。快看啊！远处五彩缤纷的烟花从天而降，一下子照亮了南京城外。

回到家里已是晚上十点左右，妈妈给我们每人煮了一碗汤圆。我们一家三口吃着白白胖胖的汤圆，真正体会到了团团圆圆的亲情。

啊，元宵节，真快乐！

I like many flowers,but I like rose the best.Why?Because it is beautful and has lots colour:red,yellow,white,black and many,many colours …

Rose is the national flowers of Britain.Lots people like rose very much.The same as me.I always buy roses for my mum on her birthday.She likes rose very much too.In our class many girls think roses are the most beautful flower in the world,and me too.

When I have nothing to do,I will go to the garden and water the roses.I like looking at them when I am tried,sometimes I feel as if I am rose too.From Monday to Friday,I need to do my homework and have no time to look after them,but I still like them very much,every night before go to bed,I will go to the garden and say “ good night” to my favourite flower,and tell them “ You are the best flower in my heart!”

There are many different beliefs about the origin of the Lantern Festival.

But one thing for sure is that it had something to do with celebrating and

cultivating positive relationship between people, families, nature and the

higher beings they believed were responsible for bringing/returning the light

each year.

One legend tells us that it was a time to worship Taiyi, the God of Heaven

in ancient times. The belief was that the God of Heaven controlled the destiny

of the human world. He had sixteen dragons at his beck and call and he decided

when to inflict drought, storms, famine or pestilence upon human beings.

Beginning with Qinshihuang, the first emperor to unite the country, all the

emperors ordered splendid ceremonies each year. The emperor would ask Taiyi to

bring favorable weather and good health to him and his people. Emperor Wudi of

the Han Dynasty directed special attention to this event. In 104 BC, he

proclaimed it as one of the most important celebrations and the ceremony would

last throughout the night. They clean it all up in the morning.

Another legend associates the Lantern Festival with Taoism. Tianguan is the

Taoist god responsible for good fortune. His birthday falls on the 15th day of

the first lunar month. It is said that Tianguan likes all types of

entertainment, so followers prepare various kinds of activities during which

they pray for good fortune.

Yet another common legend dealing with the origins of the Lantern Festival

speaks of a beautiful bird that flew down to earth from heaven, which was hunted

and killed by some villagers. This angered the Jade Emperor in Heaven because

the bird was his favorite one. Therefore, he planned a storm of fire to destroy

the village on the 15th lunar day. The Jade Emperors daughter heard of this

plan, and warned the villagers of her father’s plan to destroy their village.

The village was in turmoil because nobody knew how should they escape their

imminent destruction.

However, a wise man from another village suggested that every family should

hang red lanterns around their houses, set up bonfires on the streets, and

explode firecrackers on the 14th, 15th, and 16th lunar days. This would give the

village the appearance of being on fire to the Jade Emperor. On the 15th lunar

day, troops sent down from heaven whose mission was to destroy the village saw

that the village was already ablaze, and returned to heaven to report to the

Jade Emperor. Satisfied, the Jade Emperor decided not to burn down the village.

From that day on, people celebrate the anniversary on the 15th lunar day every

year by carrying red lanterns on the streets and exploding firecrackers and

fireworks.

There are many stories on how this festival was created. One other story is

about a maid. In the Han Dynasty, Mr. Eastern was a favorite advisor of the

emperor. One winter day, he went to the garden and heard a little girl crying

and getting ready to jump into a well to commit suicide. Mr. Eastern stopped her

and asked why. She said she was a maid in the emperors palace and her name was

Yuan-Xiao.

She never had the chance to meet her family after she started worked at the

palace. She missed them so much every 12th lunar month. If she couldnt have the

chance to show her filial piety in this life, she would rather die. Mr. Eastern

promised her to find a way so she could reunion with her family. Mr. Eastern

left the palace and set up a fortune-telling stall on the street and disguised

himself as a fortuneteller. Because of his reputation, many people asked for

their fortunes.

But every one got the same prediction - a severe fire accident on the 15th

lunar day. The rumor spread quickly. Everyone was worried about the future and

asked Mr. Eastern for help. Mr. Eastern said, "On the 13th lunar day, the God of

Fire will send a fairy lady in red to burn down the city. If you see a lady in

red wearing green pants riding a black horse on that day, you should ask for her

mercy." On that day, Yuan-Xiao pretended to be the red fairy lady. When people

asked for her help, she said, "Im the messenger of the God of Fire and came to

check on the city and Im going to set up fire on 15th. This is an order from

Jade Emperor. He will watch from the heavens.

I will give you a copy of the imperial decree from the God of Fire. You

should go to ask your emperor to find a way out." After she left, people went to

the palace to show the emperor the decree which reads "The capital city is in

trouble. Fire burns on the palace, and fire from Heaven burns all night long on

the 15th." The emperor of Han Dynasty was very shocked. He called and asked Mr.

Eastern for advice. After pondering for a while, Mr. Eastern said, "I heard that

the God of Fire likes to eat Tang-Yuan (Sweet dumpling). Does Yuan-Xiao often

cook Tang-Yuan for you? On the 15th lunar day, let Yuan-Xiao make Tang-Yuan.

Your Majesty will take charge of the worshipping ceremony and you will give

an order to every house to prepare Tang-Yuan to worship the God of Fire at the

same time. Also, deliver another order to ask every house in the city to hang

red lantern and explode fire crackers. Lastly, everyone in the palace and people

outside the city should carry their lanterns on the street to watch the lantern

decoration and fireworks. If everything goes this way, the Jade Emperor would be

deceived.

Then everyone can avoid the fire accident." The emperor happily followed

the plan. Lanterns were everywhere in the capital city on the night of the 15th

lunar day. People were walking on the street. Fire crackers kept making lots of

noise. It looked like the entire city was on fire. Yuan-Xiaos parents went into

the palace to watch the lantern decorations, and Yuan-Xiao made a big lantern

and wrote her name on the lantern. They happily reunited together after her

parents called her name. Everybody was safe during the night. The emperor of Han

Dynasty had a new order that people should do the same thing every year. Since

Yuan-Xiao cooked the best Tan-Yuan, people called the day Yuan-Xiao

Festival.

Young people were chaperoned in the streets in hopes of finding love.

Matchmakers acted busily in hopes of pairing couples. The brightest lanterns

were symbolic of good luck and hope. As time has passed, the festival no longer

has such implications.

Those who do not carry lanterns often enjoy watching informal lantern

parades. In addition to eating tangyuan (simplified Chinese: 汤圆; traditional

Chinese: 湯圓; pinyin: tāngyuán), another popular activity at this festival is

guessing lantern riddles (which became part of the festival during the Tang

Dynasty), which often contain messages of good fortune, family reunion, abundant

harvest, prosperity and love.
