第二天，猴子老师让大家考试。考完后，猴子老师语重心长地对大家说：“这次考试小猫同学考得很差。”小猫问；“为什么呀？”猴子老师说；“1+2怎么等于12？”同学们一听，都哈哈大笑。

猴子老师让小兔同学来解答。小兔同学胸有成竹地说；“1+2=3，1+3=4……”同学们热烈鼓掌，这时，小猫才知道自己做错了。

从此以后，小猫每节课都认真听讲，回家后认真地写作业。很快，小猫就成了优等生。

小狐狸已经到了上学的年龄了，很想去上学。可是，动物学校的山羊校长却冷冷地说 ：“你们狐狸太狡猾，动物学校不收狐狸学生。你还是回去吧！”小狐狸伤心极了，一边哭着一边向小树林跑去。

小狐狸跑着跑着，一不小心，把路旁满满的一筐松果撞翻了，松果滚得满地都是。小狐狸看看四周没有动静，拔腿就溜。跑了一阵子，小狐狸忽然想起山羊校长的话，他又赶忙往回跑。只见松鼠妈妈正在忙着拾滚落在地上的松果。

小狐狸的脸顿时变得通红通红的，他低着头向松鼠妈妈道歉说：“对不起，松鼠妈妈！是我不小心把松果撞翻的，可是我却……让我来给您捡松果吧！”说完，连忙弯下腰和松鼠妈妈一起捡松果。松鼠妈妈不但没有责怪小狐狸，还连连夸奖小狐狸是个诚实的孩子。

捡完了松果，小狐狸心里很舒畅，他跟松鼠妈妈说了声“再见”，又蹦蹦跳跳地继续往前走。走着走着，小狐狸听见林子里传来“叽叽、叽叽”的叫声。小狐狸东找西找，终于在树丛下发现了一只走丢了的小鸡。小狐狸走上前去，热情地说：“小鸡妹妹，别着急，让我帮你一起找妈妈吧！”

小鸡一看是小狐狸，吓坏了，她哆哆嗦嗦地说：“你别碰我，你是大坏蛋！”小狐狸诚恳地说：“我们狐狸的确干了很多坏事，可是这一次，请你相信我，绝不会骗你的，我一定会帮你找到鸡妈妈的！”

小鸡半信半疑，勉强答应了，小狐狸领着小鸡在林子里东打听，西打听，终于找到了鸡妈妈。小鸡“叽叽”地叫着，高兴地投进了鸡妈妈的怀抱。鸡妈妈知道是小狐狸帮了小鸡的忙，又惊又喜，连连夸奖小狐狸是个助人为乐的好孩子。

“哈哈……”，山羊校长闻讯赶来出现在小狐狸面前， “小狐狸，祝贺你呀！我现在正式宣布，你被动物学校录取了！”小狐狸一听，恭恭敬敬地向山羊校长鞠了一躬，说了声：“谢谢山羊校长。”一溜烟地往家里跑去。

第二天，小狐狸背着书包，高高兴兴地上学去了。
