Life In Vacation

It was a sun day of the summer holiday. The weather was hot. My little brother and I decided to go to the resrvoir to swim by bike. It took us half an hour when we got there, many people were swimming. The we dived into the water……

About an hour later, suddenly somebody called: “help! help!” We were surprised to see a boy struggling in the deep water. As quickly as possible. We swam towards him and pulled him to the shore. He lost his consciousness. We sent him to the nearest hospital at once luckily, he was saved.

In the end, we were worn out, but felt happy. That day was meaningful. We did a good deed!

this week i didn’t do many wonderful things.

i went to learn developing film with my classmates on july 1st. it was easy and we all got good marks.

on july 4th,i went to school to learn,because i will be a junior three student soon. we would have to learn some lessons in advance. the weather was very hot. but i didn’t feel that learning lessons was boring. some teachers are new. they are good i think,although they are all looked strict. and the lessons were not too bad.

this week was the beginning of this summer holiday,but it was really typical .

Lucy once was my classmate, but now she has moved to another city. However, we communicate with each other all the time, sharing our lives with each other. When she firstly moved to the new city and went to the new school, she did not adapt very well. But she is outgoing and talkative, it did not take very long time for her to get on well with others. She is so kind that people are likely to make friends with her. Therefore, I do not worry about her in the new environment. I hope she will have a new start in the new city and school and I am sure she certainly will.

Matt gave us a class this afternoon, at the first part of the class, we saw a film. It was mainly about American football. After the film, we began t get to know the American football. It is similar to soccer, but it was much rougher. Players might get more easily. In another word, it was a game full of danger, they played just like fighting. One of the players just broke his leg during the match, and he would never play American football, because of his leg. What a pity! Matt told us that when he was in high school, he also take part in American football. He had broken his fingers for three times and his leg for once. When I was in middle school, I heard the English song Baby One More Time. Then I saw the music record, the girl was so sweet and pretty. She danced so well in the record, she was full of energy. Since then, I fell in love with Britney Spears, every girl wanted to be her. She was not only beautiful, but also could sing and dance so well. Britney Spears was my early idol, her energetic image attracted me so much. I was so crazy about her at that time. I believe that in every teenager’s dream, they will have an idol.

Tomb Sweeping Day is on the April 5th every year. Its a day to show our great respect to our deceased ancestors. On that day, we usually sweep the tomb of our ancestors and offer them food and drinks. We also burn paper money to them. It is believed that our ancestors in heaven will receive the money. First, as a student,some of us can ride a bike to go to school, or walk to school every day.It can not only save energy but also it is good to our healty. My favourite great book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

Tom Sawyer is a lively and clever boy. He lives with his aunt Polly. His

aunt is strict with him, so he runs to an island in the middle of the

Mississippi River with two friends, Huck and Joe. With Huck, he goes looking for

treasure; with Becky, he gets lost in a cave. And finally Tom and Huck find a

box of gold. Tom is the hero of the story, but there are other important

characters. Becky is pretty with fair hair. Huck is Toms best friend, and Injun

Joe is the bad man of the story.

The theme of the story is to do with children growing up and becoming more

serious.

My name is Li Xing, a boy in fourteen years old. I come from Dalian, Liaoning Province, which is a beautiful and energetic city. Every year, thousands of tourists visit there. There are three people in my family, my parents and I. My parents are doctors who work in a big hospital in my city. I have many interests. But I like Michael Jackson best.

I recognized Michael Jackson on occassion. There was a poem recitation competition in my class. I had to look for a song about peace. Finally I found "Heal the World". I liked it at once when I first heard this song. I thought it was the best song that I had ever heard. Then I found the words of this song. "Heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me, and the  entire human race." This song was Michael Jacksons famous work.

Since then I began to know more about Michael Jackson. I began to love him. He was named "King of Pop". He hold a Children Foundationg and wanted to make the world peace through the music.Although he was dead, he was still one of the most famous singers in the world. I love him, because he was not only a singer but also a loving person.

It is believed that the computer is bringing the world into a brand new

era. At the time the computer was invented, scientists, marveling at its

calculating speed, felt that they had created a miracle. Nowadays, the function

of the computer is no longer confined to calculation; it permeates people’s

daily lives and has become an inseparable part of human society.

People become so heavily dependent on computers that it is hard to imagine

the life without computers. Therefore, some people are worried that “The real

danger is not that the computer will think like man, but man will think like the

computer.”

Their concern does make sense. Indeed, some people spend such a long time

working on computers that they have few interactions with people in real life.

According to a research, too many hours in front of a computer may lead to a

poker face and interpersonal isolation. This fact should arouse our attention,

because unlike computers, human beings are social creatures that need emotional

connections with others.

Yet, it is also unnecessary for us to be overwhelmed by the negative

impacts of computers. After all, we humans are intelligent and will be able to

figure out better ways to make improvements.

English is the necessary subject to learn. Since I went to school, I have

to learn it. But I am not interested in it because I cant find how useful it

is. Two months ago, there was a new English teacher taught us, I realized that

her teaching method was very different. Before the lesson, she would let us to

listen to the English songs, or sometimes we needed to do role play. It was so

funny for us. We were very interested in the songs. Sometimes we could enjoy the

movie, which just opened my eyes. I saw a different world. I wanted to learn

English well and then search the world.

This year, people across China carried out a variety of activities to learn from Lei Feng. I know Lei Feng was happy to help other people. H e always did his best to help them. It’s very good for us to learn from Lei Feng. However we can do a lot of small things to help keep the school clean. Picking up the rubbish on the floor is easy. We also should try our best to help the classmates as much as possible. I think to be a good person is easy and happy.
