On College Students Occupying Seats

In English, there is an expression “First Come, First Served” (FCFS). This stresses the need for orderliness, which also applies to college students searching for seats in the reading rooms of a library. However, in China, things are somehow complicated. Instead of occupying seats with their own persons, students tend to use books, backpacks or other personal objects to stand for their “legitimate” ownership of the seats.

To such extent, the emergence of such a practice, now almost ubiquitous on all campuses, is justified. The seats for students to conduct self-study are limited and university authorities should endeavor to increase such facilities to satisfy students needs. At least, students efforts to fight for seats indicate they are enthusiastic about their studies—their academic initiatives should be duly recognized and encouraged! However, using personal belongings to occupy seats may exacerbate the scarcity of facilities—some irresponsible students might never turn up, sometimes even for days. They waste the precious resources and damage the interests of other students who have real needs. Such behavior deserves unconditional criticism and condemnation.

Both university authorities and students should do their best to solve the problem. The authorities should create more reading rooms to satisfy students needs whereas students should not waste the already limited resources. In this way, an optimum allocation of resources can be realized and all students would enjoy their studies.

两会精神中很重要的一点就是民生问题，民生中首当其冲的就是就业问题，其中农民工就业和大学毕业生就业又是重中之重，都属于劳动就业范畴。

现在大学毕业生就业越来越难，就业压力越来越大已经引起人门的密切关注，究其原因，我认为有以下几点：

3.针对大学的普及教育，越来越多的大学，不注重优化学科结构，不注重面向就业市场培育学生，导致建立了一些无关紧要的学科，致使毕业大学毕业生就业无技能，无专长，仅仅有毕业证书的尴尬现象。

4.国家地方行政部门，企事业单位，国企等人员流动性差，开放性差，更新换代速度慢，致使吸收新鲜血液的能力差，吸收外来人员能力差。

综上所述，导致大学毕业生就业压力越来越大，就业形势越来越严峻。加之今年深受金融危机影响，经济下滑，公司裁员，员工下岗，致使09年2000万农民工加600万毕业大学毕业生竞争工作岗位。可见就业压力之大，形势之严峻。

毕业就等于失业，这句话不是没有道理的。当今作为大学毕业生个人来讲，怎么样才能做到符合自己心愿的就业，找到自己满意的岗位，我认为有以下几点建议：

首先，努力提高自身各个方面的知识能力，完善自己不足，提高自我核心竞争力。俗话说，机会是留给有准备的人的。因此我们要做好一切准备等待机会的到来。其次，针对自身原因，考取选调生，公务员，事业编制，村官等，走从政之路。下基层加强自己锻炼，增长社会经验。广泛参加社会招聘，单位招聘，从基层做起，从一点小事做起，不断积蓄能量，为以后博得更好工作岗位和培养自己一技之长大好基矗最后，自我创业。可以向银行申请小额贷款，发挥自我能动性，开展自己的一片天空。

其次，大学生要与社会接轨。现代社会发展需要很多人才，社会需要决定着求职的环境。然而，现在，大学生就业难的问题已经是一个不争的现象，尤其是在金融危机的爆发下，且有可能越来越难的趋势。面对日益增长的就业人数，大学生的就业问题成为公众关注的热点。如何提高学生就业竞争力,提高学生的综合素质成为社会关注的焦点。社会方面就业人数激增与就业市场达到超饱和状态的矛盾，高等学校专业调整滞后与市场需求不相适应，毕业生择业期望与用人单位实际需求的矛盾等直接影响到大学生的就业。

第一， 虽然如此，但许多用人单位依旧招不到满意的大学生，这说明了“只有社会需要、市场需要，才是就业选择的方向。”职业的前途是与社会需要息息相关的，只有准确把握社会需要，紧跟时代发展步伐，选择的职业才有发展潜力，个人在职业方面的努力和投入才会增值，个人才能获得比较大的发展空间，自我发展才会有可靠的保障。

第二，要根据自己的专业、技能、用人单位的要求，确定自己的职业方向。在投简历之前，要先上网了解该公司的基本情况，是否真的有这家公司，认真收集、分析聘用信息，辨别信息的真伪，以免上当受骗。假如自己和用人单位彼此都很满意，应该做出理性的选择，及时签订协议。且要有主见，不要人云亦云，别人觉得这家公司不好或者很好，你也这样觉得，患得患失，心里一片茫然，从而错过机遇。

第三，就业过程是一个复杂的过程，往往会遇到这样或那样的困难，处处碰壁。这就要求我们有良好的心理承受能力和端正心态，勇敢地迎接未来的种种挑战。更为重要的是要接受并适应自己从“学生”向“社会人”的转变，了解校园与职场的不同。不迷恋大城市，大企业，只要有真才实学，脚踏实地，一样有一番新天地。

第四，礼仪是帮助我们获得成功的“通行证”。所以在面试时我们要特别注意礼仪，言行举止得当的话不仅会为我们加分，还会加深面试官的印象。当然了，我们的综合素质、专业知识等一定要过硬才能事半功倍。然后就是面对聘用方说话时，能够心不慌，脸不红，说话流利，语言表达能力好，知道哪些该说、哪些详说、哪些简说，给人以诚实、谦虚的感觉。尽量在面试官面前展示自我。

第五，自荐信的书写和简历的制作。自荐信要扬长避短，重点突出，简明扼要，用词准确，能够引起聘用方的注意。简历除了基本的内容外还要写的简洁精练，措辞得体，浓缩大学生活的精华。站在聘用方的角度制作简历，使他们看到自己的价值，了解自己能为他们做什么。简历的格式篇幅要恰当适宜，不能太长。再经过精心编排打印的简历一定会令聘用方眼前一亮。不过，最重要的是要本着诚实的态度去制作简历，不能弄虚作假。

第六，我们在工作时，要遵守岗位的职业道德，不要为了一点点利益就违反公司规定和职业道德。作为一个劳动者在自己的岗位上连必须遵守的职业道德都做不到，还谈什么做好工作呢。

第七，俗话说：活到老，学到老。在以后的工作生涯中，我们要继续保持着学习的心态，与社会接轨，不断学习新事物。继续努力完善自己，提高自身的素质以及职业能力。

最后，最为一名大学生，初入社会工作，要多听，多看，多做，少说，尽量积累多点经验。不要好高骛远，眼光高，也不要自我期望过高和物质要求高，那样的话会得不偿失的。谁不想有份好的工作呢，但重点是自己要有那个能力。能力是靠我们自己在社会工作中长期积累的，不是一朝一夕就可以形成的。相信自己，从基层做起，从零开始，我们会找到自己的位置，活的很精彩。
