Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. 为什么最近雾霾天气会如此频繁呢?原因有以下三点：

1.在水平方向静风现象增多。城市里大楼越建越高，阻挡和摩擦作用使风流经城区时明显减弱。静风现象增多，不利于大气中悬浮微粒的扩散稀释，容易在城区和近郊区周边积累。

2.垂直方向上出现逆温。逆温层好比一个锅盖覆盖在城市上空，这种高空的气温比低空气温更高的逆温现象，使得大气层低空的空气垂直运动受到限制，空气中悬浮微粒难以向高空飘散而被阻滞在低空和近地面。

我们目前是小学生，虽然我们还没有办法保护祖国的环境，但是我们有能力保护好校园的环境、社区的环境以及街道的环境。

有一次，学校组织我们2—6年级同学到采俸公园的草坪上捡白色垃圾。在出发之前，我心里想，平常到采风公园玩的时候，觉得那里比较干净。今天去捡白色垃圾，应该很少，捡起来一定很轻松吧。

但当我走道那里，低头一看的时候，却把我惊呆了。地上有许多垃圾。废纸、烟头、塑料袋等。这些到处都是，一块绿色的草坪，在游人的破坏下成了一片环境污染地，这是多么严重的环境问题。

面对这块草坪，使我们愤怒不已，努力去消除那些垃圾。经过我们100分钟的劳动，草坪终于恢复到了最初的美丽，名花齐葩争芳斗艳。我们不禁感叹：原来地球也是很美的呀!

依稀记得以前某一年的一天，奶奶带着我和堂弟去老舅舅家。途中，必须要经过一条河。那条河很长很宽。但是，却很臭，就连河水也是黑色的，在途中。奶奶告诉我们姐弟俩说那条河以前的河水很清，味道也不是那么难闻。还听奶奶说那里有很多条小鱼，他还在那里面捞鱼，游泳呢，可是不知道怎么会演变成那样子可见我们人类当时是怎么对待那条河的。这条河之所以变成现在这个样子，也是由于我们人类破坏生态环境所引起的。我一边去往老舅家，一边在想为什么有关部门不来处理这个问题呢？为什么还要维持现状呢？实在是太不负责任了！

再次去老舅家，在途中必须要经过的那条臭水河居然变得那样清澈，也没有那样难闻的味道了！听奶奶说是因为有关部门把那条河的污染治理了，才会变成现如今的样子。再次想想，他们还是有保护生态环境的意识嘛！可是，我却还是没有看到有小鱼在水里面自由自在地游。看来，我们还是要多多保护生态环境。

现如今，我们能做的，就是不再随便像以前一样什么东西也往河里面扔了。记得有句话几乎人人都知道：保护环境，人人有责。

如果我们不保护生态环境，也会危及我们人类自身的生存。所以我们一定要记住那句我们几乎人人都知道的：保护环境，人人有责。一定要切记，切记。

在一个阳光明媚的早晨，我在楼道里和小伙伴们开心地玩耍时，讨厌的苍蝇满天飞，让人很反感，破坏了我们玩游戏的兴趣。于是，我和小伙伴飞快地跑回家，拿来三件“宝贝”在玩耍的地方集合。我们组成了清扫小队——“环境在我家”，便开始合作一层一层的打扫楼道卫生。

从中我懂得了保护环境，人人有责。我们要从自己身边的小事做起，为维护好环境而努力。

最近，大家都在议论天气变暖，引起南极冰山融化的后果问题，那我就把我的记录向大家介绍一下吧。
