阅读带给我们的无疑是这样的登高远眺。尤其身陷现实的囹圄，跳出圈子凭借的力量就来自于各种各样的书，来自于潜心的阅读。有了这种能力，无异于推开一扇望向美好的窗。同样是长大，有了阅读相伴，尤其是阅读优秀、经典的作品，那是怎样诗意的宽松!

曾经读过一本书《窗边的小豆豆》这本书给了我很深刻的印象，是日本女作家黑柳彻子写的。她写了自己小时候的亲身经历，作者因淘气被原学校退学后，来到了巴学园。在小林校长的爱护和引导下，让一般人眼里“怪怪”的小豆豆逐渐变成了一个大家都能接受的孩子……这本书写出了所有孩子的心声!还有其他好多书籍，都给了我好大的感悟!那些革命书籍更使我更懂事了!所以，从小我就知道，书是我最忠实最知心的伙伴了!只有漫步在书海中，我才能放下心来。我会静静地享受快乐!享受古今中外的文学作品!

阅读开启人生。当代儿童文学作家梅子涵老师说过：一个希望优秀的人，是应该亲近文学的，亲近文学的方式当然就是阅读。阅读那些经典和杰作，在故事和语言间得到和世俗不一样的气息，优雅的心情和感觉在这同时也就滋生出来……慢慢地，这阅读就使你有了格调，有了不平庸的眼睛…因为我们从有意识起，就在读书，所以，阅读是我们开始人生的第一步!

Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive. Concerned people have made some progress in environmental protection. Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.

Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems. People should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. We are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the future.

In this fast-paced modern society, life can be sometimes very stressful. One may get overwhelmed by whats going on. There may be a feeling of helplessness and the worlds spinning out of control. Its easy to lose hope. However, hope is something can be created with an optimistic state of mind.Optimism helps to increase hope for several reasons. To begin with, hope is something appears from our inside world. All of us have capacity to generate hope. This capacity is closely related to optimism. The large number of our population has become one of the most serious

problems of our society. According to a recent survey of the National Bureau of

Statistics, there are more than 1.3 billion people in our country, which account

for about 1/5 of all the people in the world. the same survey also predicts that

our population will grow quickly in the years to come.

Overpopulation has brought about a series of negative effects to our

economic development and social security. In the first place, too many people

impose a heavy burden on our environment. As a result, we suffer from a shortage

of fresh water and natural resources. In the second place, as the supply of

labor GREatly exceeds the demand of the society, many people become employed.

This is a source of social unrest. Last but not least, we have to manufacture

all kinds of products to meet the needs of the people, which causes environment

pollution to our lakes and land.

Serious though the problem seems, we have to take some measures to tackle

it. On the one hand, the government should carry out more strictly the policy of

family planning, thus reducing the total number of population. On the other
