The Spring Festival is very important to Chinese people. In the past，people

could not often have meat，rice or other delicious food. They could only eat

these during the Spring festival. So every year they hoped that the Spring

Festival would come soon. Now， although people‘s life is much better，and we can

eat the delicious foods everyday. People still like the festival. Because most

people can have a long holiday，and we are free to go on a trip or visit our

friends or have parties with our family. In the evenings，we can have a big meal

in the restaurant or stay at home with family and watch the TV programs.

8月初，我和爸爸妈妈一起去旅行，这次旅行和往常不一样，因为我们是要坐游轮去日本。

邮轮是从上海吴淞港出航的，因此，前一天下午我们乘坐绿皮火车去上海，这是我第一次坐软卧，非常的兴奋!软卧是上下铺的样子，每间小房子里有4张床，一个小桌子，但是床很窄。睡了一晚上，第二天早上七点多，我们到达了上海，坐地铁到了港口，经过办手续、安检，终于登上了我期待已久的“诺唯真喜悦号”邮轮。

邮轮特别的大，有20层楼那么高，上去以后，我惊呆了!上面有我最喜欢的大型水上乐园、剧院、电影院、星际探索中心、儿童游乐场、KTV、双层卡丁车，还有妈妈和阿姨们喜欢的免税店，还有十几个24小时营业的自助餐厅。我和哥哥、姐姐每天都很早起来，去游泳、看表演、去星际探索中心开碰碰车、模拟云霄飞车、模拟高空走钢丝、星球大战，等等，玩得非常开心!游轮上的自助餐特别的好吃，种类繁多，每天都会变换新花样。但是我最爱吃的是冰激凌，有各种口味。

我们在游轮上呆了整整3天，有时我会去甲板上看大海，大海非常的大，一眼望不到边，到了晚上，大海漆黑一片，我都感到有点害怕。

坐了两天之后，我们到了日本福冈。去看了一个300多年前的城墙和一个神社，由于时间紧张，只有半天的时间，我们匆匆去了免税店，买了一些我喜欢的零食就又返回了邮轮。

回到上海以后我们去了乌镇，我看见了小桥流水人家，游览了西栅的夜景，还去杭州看了西湖、林隐寺。在西湖上我们还坐了游船。

这次旅行给我留下了好多深刻的印象，我玩的非常的开心，期待下一次和哥哥姐姐的美好旅行。

玩游戏

一个星期天，天气晴朗，阳光灿烂，春意盎然。我和爸爸一道直奔体能乐园。

跨进乐园，凝神望去，晃板旁边早已围满了小朋友。我飞奔过去，挤进人群，登上晃板架子，仔细观察，只见晃板是由一块块大约长1米，宽20厘米的木板连结而成，两头固定在铁架上，下面是一张宽大的网子，专门网住从晃板上掉下的人，看样子挺安全的。一些小朋友正在晃板上快活地走着，真让人羡慕呀!

我大步跨上晃板，木板立刻上下晃动，左右摆动。瞧!男孩子们个个像醉汉;女孩子们人人跳起了自由迪斯科。我的心情骤然紧张起来，真有点想打退堂鼓了。爸爸好像看透了我的心思，便鼓励我说你：“思源，大胆地走，注意身体平衡!”听了爸爸的话，我小心翼翼地在晃板上走着，心揪得紧紧的，眼睛一直看着前方，生怕自己掉下去。

突然，跳上来几个大个子，木板晃得更厉害了。尽管小朋友们你扶着我，我搀着你，还是有几个掉下去了，有的摔了个四脚朝天，有的耍了个倒栽葱，还有的翻了个后滚翻……真是“丑态”百出。哈哈!我还安然无恙，稳稳地站在木板上呢!不料，我后面的一位小妹妹也摔倒了，顺势猛地把我拉了下去，我一下子摔倒了网里。这时，网里的小朋友你看看我，我看看你，乐得哈哈大笑起来。

我奋力爬上晃板，顺手把那个小妹妹拉了上来。我俩互相搀扶着，慢慢地向前走去。木板不停地向左向右晃动，我赶紧调整姿态，保持身体平衡。经过努力，我们终于顺利地达到终点。这时，爸爸的脸上露出了满意的笑容，我心里别提多高兴了。

玩晃板多有趣呀!真让人回味无穷。

农历五月初五为端午节，又称端阳节、午日节、五月节、艾节、端五、重午、午日、夏节。虽然名称不同，但各地人民过节的习俗是相同的。端午节是我国二千多年的旧习俗，每到这一天，家家户户挂艾叶菖蒲，赛龙舟，吃粽子，饮雄黄酒，游百病，佩香囊。

今天是端午节，大家知道端午节的来历吗?!不知道吧!那就让我来告诉你们吧!你们还记得楚国那位爱国大将屈原吗?我来说一说他吧!

屈原是战国时期出国人，很有学问。他在楚王身边做官，以形象是自己的国家富强起来。昏君楚王却听信奸臣的话，把屈原削职流放。在流放中，屈原听说楚国的都城被敌人占领，百姓遭难，悲愤极了。五月初五这一天，他来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，以纵身跳入汨罗江中。出国的百姓听到屈原投江的消息，都十分悲痛。他们含着泪划着船赶来打捞屈原，还把粽子扔到江里喂鱼，希望鱼儿不要伤害屈原的身体。这就是五月端阳包粽子的来历。

端午节还有许多有趣的活动。列如赛龙舟，挂香囊，香囊内有朱砂、雄黄、香药，外包以丝布，清香四溢，再以五色丝线弦扣成索，作各种不同形状，结成一串，形形色色，玲珑夺目。还有挂艾叶、菖蒲的习惯。

端午节的活动可真多啊!

Computers are affordable for almost all people nowadays. As a result, an

increasing number of college students take computers to their dormitory to

browse website, watch movies and play video games and so on. This phenomenon has

caused lots of public concern. Some people believe that computer does bad to

students’ health for college students spend more than five hours staring at

computer without break every day. However, for other people, they are positive

to students’ owing computers because students can search for the newest

information. Standing on my point, I’m more tending to the first opinion.

Reasons are as the following:

Firstly, computers will transfer students’ attention. If students take

computers on campus, they would spend much time on computer than on study. For

instance, lots of my classmates usually play computer for amusement once class

is dismissed instead of going to the library to read more books to enlarge their

knowledge circle.

Secondly, students spend lots of time on computers which hurts their

health. It is quite often seen that students stay in dormitory for almost a

whole day without any breaks playing computers. It is all known that computers

have radiation which hurts eyes and skin.

To be honest, students can use computer to search for the updated

information that they want. But for the reasons above, I firmly believe that

students shouldn’t bring computers to college.

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually

in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance.

This days important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that

Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddhas

body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar

month, so he ordered to light lanterns in the imperial palace and temples to

show respect to Buddha on this day. Later, the Buddhist rite developed into a

grand festival among common people and its influence expanded from the Central

Plains to the whole of China.

Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the

country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets,

attracting countless visitors. Children will hold self-made or bought lanterns

to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. "Guessing lantern riddles"is

an essential part of the Festival.

Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the

lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out

and go to the lantern owners to check their answer. If they are right, they will

get a little gift. The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in

the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of

wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.

People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also

called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is

small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean

paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling.

Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s

more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning

reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the

family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern

dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and

beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent

lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks

from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local

governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first

full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing

fireworks and bright moon in the sky.

光阴似箭，一转眼，一个暑假就快结束了，可快乐时光总是很短暂。在这个暑假中，我学会了做菜和游泳，长了本领;去了安徽的红石谷和虎

头潭，领略自然。其中最令我难忘的就是去游泳。

暑假里一天，姐姐说带我去游泳，我想没事便答应了，到了游泳馆，有的是教官在教学员游泳;有的是大人在蛙泳;有的是小孩在成群的玩耍。他们就像一条泥鳅再池里穿梭自如，看得我心痒痒，想下去游，可我不会，只好在岸上坐着，姐姐游过来，看我坐在岸边发呆，好像明白了我的心思，笑着对我说：“是不是想学啊?”我喜出望外，简直不敢相信我也可以游泳，连声说道：“想!想!想!姐姐笑眯眯地说：“学游泳要有耐心……”

姐姐的话还没说完我就壮着胆子，“噗通”一声跳进游泳池里。我得意得想，学游泳不就那么回事。没想想回报居然是一口的水，呛个半死，姐姐游上岸，给了我一瓶水，我原来热情的心凉了大半截，游兴全无。我就像一只泄了气皮球，全身打哆嗦，“不学了，什么破泳池，走啦!”姐姐对我说，无论学什么，都要有毅力，不要急，慢慢来。

听了姐姐的话，我鼓起勇气，回到岸边，认真的学起来，拿着两块浮板，先学习走，可浮板不听话，顺着水飘走了，而水帮我练起了一字步。姐姐游过来对我说：“身体保持平衡，手脚配合。”我按姐姐说的做，虽然失败了很多次，但我毫不气馁，一次又一次，动作越来越熟悉，最后，我和泳池交上了朋友。

学游泳的经历我永远也不会忘记。

Freedom is an important right of people. It usually refers that you can do

want you want and live the life you want. Of course, it must be on the basis

that you can’t affect others’ freedom. Otherwise, it does not belong to your

freedom anymore. In my opinion, freedom is not you can do whatever you want, but

you don’t have to do what you don’t want to. We live in the same society, which

there are many rules constraining our behaviors. Therefore, we can’t do whatever

we want. But we are not forced to do what we don’t want to is freedom.

I often imagine what my life will be like in the future. I think my life will be very different in ten years. I will be twenty-eight years old by then. I will have my own family. Probably with a lovely child. I hope I will work in a computer company as a program designer. I will enjoy my work and get along well with my colleagues, I will do a good job in whatever I do. In my free time, I will continue to take regular exercise, such as swimming, running and various ball games. On my holidays, I will travel around the world. In a word, my life will be much richer and more colorful.

呆在家里做作业，不免觉得有些乏味，除了看看书或电视，陪着外公外婆打几副牌，寻开心。妈妈对我十分苛刻，时常在我耳边唠叨，定要让我复习语数英，说什么“立刻毕业了，升初中还那么放松!”我只好乖乖认命，仅5天，就做完了作业的一半!惊人啊!我的暑假虽吁了口气，但还是“闭门自习”的，唉，倒霉!

游泳是我在夏日中必不可少的运动，在碧波里狠狠一个猛蹿，便会让那碧湛湛的、清凉的池水，凉便全身，浸透心田。虽说在游泳池里偶尔喝几口水，但在池里感觉还是很棒、很爽的!在炎热的夏，来几个狗爬式，几下蛙泳，有一种休闲时尚的感觉。

暑假，平淡中也有自在，也有快乐。无聊而快乐的生活啊!呵呵。

My hobbies

Different people have different hobbies， I often cycling to play with my classmates. It is especially good for health. 不同的人有不同的爱好。我经常骑自行车玩和同学一起玩。它特别对健康有好处。这是很好的锻炼。除此之外读书是我的另一个嗜好，我很喜欢读书。至于读书，我可以从中学到很多知识，并且对外面的世界有了了解，那真是太美好了。

暑假已经已经来了，然而我是否能够过一个快乐的暑假，这完全取决于我的表现。如果我好好听妈妈的话，把每天该完成的暑假作业完成，那么我便能够享受我自己的暑假时光了。

我每天学习的时间被安排在了上午，因为妈妈说这是一天之中最适合学习的时间了。每天上午我都得把作业完成，不然下午我就不可以看动画片了。记得有一次我没有写完作业就出去玩了，最后受到了妈妈严厉的批评。我今天的作业已经完成了，下午的动画片时间已经开始了。

首先我将电视机的电源插好，迅速在冰箱里拿出冰凉的椰汁，踮起脚尖在冰箱上面拿走了美味可口的饼干，开着风扇，拿起遥控器，享受着小学生暑假拥有的无限快乐。

我舒服地坐在沙发上，喝着甜甜的椰汁，吃带着糖好吃的小饼干，看暑假热播的萌学园，心灵花园的一朵快乐的花已经绽放，感觉我真的好幸福，这个下午让我真开心，好像得到了永恒的快乐。

今年暑假，爸爸妈妈带我和姐姐去常州嬉戏谷玩。

远远地，“嬉戏谷”三个大字就映入了我们的眼帘。还没到大门口，我们就兴奋不已，对着嬉戏谷的大门大声呼喊着：“嬉戏谷，我们来了!”爸爸才买好票，我们就立刻冲了进去。

一进园内，姐姐就兴奋地拉着我：“一起去坐过山车!”“啊，姐姐，我不敢，你去吧。”我忙摇摇头，眼角瞅向过山车的位置，尖叫声不绝于耳，我使劲儿摇摇头：“不去不去!”“好吧，那我一个人上去了。”

姐姐走了，我站在原地等她。不一会儿，姐姐心满意足、得意洋洋地跳回来了。妈妈看我一副呆若木鸡的样子，问到：“心怡，你要不要去试试过山车?”“我，不敢……”“你不试试怎么知道不敢呢。”

“对呀。”我对自己说。于是，我在妈妈的鼓励下，来到了过山车脚下，队伍排得挺长，我有些紧张，看看队伍里的人谈笑风生的样子，我不停地安慰自己：没事的曹心怡，你可以的!

终于轮到我了，工作人员细心地为我系好安全带，骤然间，我有了一丝安全感。

“咯吱咯吱……”过山车动了，慢慢地向上开着，我的心也跟着提了起来。突然，一个俯冲，感觉整个人都要飞出去了!还好安全带紧紧地拉着我。我双手死死抓住扶手，一刻也不敢放松，心随着车身一会儿升入高空，一会儿跌入谷底。还没来得及反应过来，又来了一个360度的大旋转，耳边一阵阵嚎叫和呼呼的风声……

终于下车了，游客们一个个脸色苍白。我也拼命拍拍胸口，感谢我还活着。

这次过山车的经历，我不但锻炼了自己的胆量，还增强了自信。以后在生活中、学习中遇到困难，我也要像这次一样打败它们!

游泳是件有趣的事。在水里游泳的人像一条小鱼一样快活地游着，一会儿自由泳，一会儿仰泳，这是多么有趣啊!可是原来的我不会游泳，直到今年暑假才学会游泳，才尝到了游泳的快乐。

暑假里的一天，炎热非常，我和爸爸到景山游泳池游泳。

我们把衣服换上游泳衣后，就赶紧跳进游泳池。爸爸叫我先学憋气，然后给我演示了一遍。爸爸鼓着腮帮子，沉到水底，我在岸上数1，2，3……当我数到30的时候，爸爸就从水底浮出头来。爸爸说：“明白了吗?”我说：“明白。”我吸了一口气，用手捏住鼻子，鼓着腮帮子，沉入水底。爸爸岸上数1，2，3……当爸爸数到7的时候，我就从水底浮了出来。爸爸看到我说：“不错!继续练习!”我一直练习，过了一会儿，我的憋气时间从7到了10。当我又浮起来时，爸爸高兴地说：“你可以开始学游泳了。”搂着，爸爸抓住我的手，让我浮在水面上浮着，刚开始我不敢游，在爸爸的几番鼓励之下，我终于试了一次。我整个身体浮在水面上，像在天空飞一样。爸爸抓着我的手，我的脚拼命打着水，像发动机一样砰砰砰的响。

就这样，我慢慢地学会了游两下，我欣喜若狂，在水中欢呼着、狂叫着，旁若无人。

这个暑假，我不仅学会了游泳，还感受到了游泳带来的乐趣。

The Stilwell Scholarship she founded helps support deserving students from China who have come to the Monterey Institute to pursue professional degrees in translation and interpretation, international policy studies, language teaching and business management.

现在已经是放暑假的第二天了，早上，我按照我制定的暑假计划五8：00左右起床，吃完早饭后就开始写暑假作业。

我第一项写的是语文作业，在抄课文之前，老师布置了一个写笔顺的任务，我先拿出一张纸，然后再纸上练习，今天老师布置的是简单的8个笔顺，你别小瞧这简单的八个笔顺，看起来简单，写起来可不容易，我先在自己的草稿纸上写了好几遍，可是写的都不怎么样，我又练了好几遍，可是写起来还是马马虎虎，我写了好多遍，终于把这八个笔顺写好看了，然后我就把这八个笔顺写到稿纸上，接下来我就开始抄课文了，我尽量按照标准一笔一划地写，写完以后我就拍照片发到我们班的微信群，然后老师觉得我写得还不错，可是我感觉我写的还不够好，然后老师还表扬了我并发给我一张抄词免写卡，我心里别提说有多开心了，我知道我的到这张免写卡是我做事认真的结果，这是我今天最开心的事。

我以后在抄每一篇课文的时候都要把字写得很好、认认真真的写，我希望我通过一个暑假的练习，能把字练好。

暑假里我到婆婆家去玩。到了之后我先在家吃了一顿美味的菜肴，吃完后就和妹妹到楼下去玩。我看见了许多沙，于是我们就玩起沙。

我们找来了几个一次性杯子，准备建一座我心中理想的城堡。我先用杯子装满沙子，再往杯子倒水，保证所有的沙子都湿了，再把杯子反扣过来一会儿，让水流干，接着把杯子拿掉，一座堡垒大致轮廓就完成了。再按同样的步骤做几个放在一起。随后我用已经湿了的土捏几块像橡皮一样小巧玲珑的小砂砖，等它干了之后再放上去，一座宏伟的堡垒就完成了。为了让它更加精致，我在城堡里插上了几根竹签，让它更加坚固，又在旁边做了一个游泳池：我把水，小石子，细沙放在杯子里和好，再把调出来的“水泥”沿着一个胶带圈铺满，用十几根竹签穿过去，游泳池就大功告成了。往池子里注满水，嘿，一点都不漏，我折了个纸船放在池里，真有趣。城堡建好了，我和妹妹相视一笑，我俩都变成了大花猫(因为我俩脸上沾满了土，沙和汗水)为了不让别人破坏，我把堡垒套上了袋子，每天都下楼观察巡逻。暑假很快就过去了，希望下次去的时候堡垒还在。

Now, the summer holiday is coming to the end. I really spend a rich but

happy holiday. As a junior student, I am not totally free in the summer holiday,

because study is still an important part in my life. In the first month of the

holiday, I study at home to finish my homework. There are many tasks I have to

finish. Besides, I have to go to the English and mathtraining class, because I

am weak inthe two subjects. Therefore, I need some extra training. After that, I

visit to my father with my mother. My father works in other province and I have

not seen him for half a year. My mother and I miss him very much. We spend near

a month with him.When my father is free, he often takes us go out. We are happy

together.
