As is known to us all, teachers play an important role in our process of

growing up. As far as I am concerned, an ideal teacher should be responsible,

impartial and wise.

First of all, a qualified teacher should be responsible. For one thing, he

学校放暑假了，暑假时间很长，有两个月。如果经常跑到外面去玩，天气很热，那就会中暑。要是天天在家里睡觉，不就成“懒猪”了吗?怎样才能过得有意义呢?于是，我决定制定一个暑假计划。

1.主要是把老师布置的暑假作业做完。

2.每天安排2小时弹古筝，练一练手指。

3.练习书法，写写毛笔字，让自己的字写得又好又快。

4.报名参加绘画培训班，学一学画画，增长一项技能。

5.每周安排一定时间学习英语、音标，让自己能说一口流利的英语，当然，发音也得准哦!

6.做了作业，学了技能，当然也得注意锻炼身体啦!黄昏时候，就到室外骑骑自行车，或者到游泳池游泳。晚上还留一点时间看看课外书或电视。

于是，我把以上的事情合理安排，订了一张〈〈暑假作息时间表〉〉，并认真执行。这样做，既不会感到无所事事，也不会感到过于疲劳，还可以学到新的知识，增长自己的综合素质。因此，我觉得今年的暑假十分丰富多彩。

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

放假了，我想学游泳，爸爸就带我去报名参加游泳班。学游泳的地方是我们县城的淯江河，这条河从竹海流来，绕城而过，学游泳的河段距离下游的拦河闸不远，所以这儿的水很平静，河床也比较平坦，河水的深度保持在一米四五，这真是一个学游泳的好地方!下水后，我发现河水很清，清得看得见脚下的小鹅卵石;水凉凉的，把身上的热气一下就带走了。教练教游泳就三个步骤：换气、手上动作、脚上动作。

每天六点钟，闹钟一响我就起床，换上泳裤，带上装备就出发了。教练先让我们做热身操，然后戴上泳帽和防水眼镜下水，一开始练习的就是换气。在齐胸的河水里，先深吸一大口气，然后迅速把头埋在水里，像鱼儿一样在水里缓缓吐气，一串串水泡就从脸边上往上溜走。气吐完了，便又露出水面深呼吸。这样反复练习，我做了一百多次。

接下来，教练就开始训练我们的手上动作。他先示范给我们看，手要像剑一样从胸前快速往前方射出去，再往两侧划水，最后要把手收到胸前。我练习这个动作时老是出错，双手划水后我总把手放在两肋。教练发现一次纠正一次，在他的耐心帮助下，我用了很长一段时间，终于纠正过来了。

手上动作会了就学脚上动作了。教练教我们两脚弯曲，小腿贴着大腿，然后分开，把脚掌向外翻并用力一蹬，身子就会往前游动。脚上动作配合手上动作，就不会往下沉了。我们练习了好一会儿，把手和脚练习协调了，就基本上能游动了。

最后是训练耐力，每次在教练指定的路线游20个来回。距离并不算远，估计只有10多米吧，但一开始我们都练得气喘吁吁，很是吃力。坚持几天后，我们就习惯了，还能直接游到河对岸再回来。

学会了游泳，我心里乐滋滋的。游泳不仅可以带来快乐，还可以锻炼身体，更重要的是，它还是一项求生的本领。

今天早上，我去舅爷家玩儿。舅爷家有一只小刺猬，是他从山里面捉回来的`。舅爷见我很喜欢，就送我玩几天。我高兴地把它带回了家。

小刺猬看起来很可爱，它的眼睛小小的、圆溜溜的，像两颗黑色的宝石，它没有眼白。小刺猬的鼻子尖尖的，脑袋长得像小老鼠。小刺猬身上的刺并不像我想像中的那么扎手，它的刺平时都不是竖起来的，可以抚摸，也可以把它抱在手上玩。

小刺猬爱吃果子、玉米、虫子，它特别爱吃各种虫子。傍晚的时候，爸爸捉了一只大约长四厘米的蜈蚣放在小刺猬的面前，小刺猬一口咬住蜈蚣，吃得津津有味。我就给它捉各种虫子吃。

小刺猬白天不爱动，晚上就喜欢出来找食物。晚饭后，我把它放在院子里，它在院子里沿着墙根儿一圈一圈地跑着，跑得还挺快，肉嘟嘟的，像一只可爱的小猪。

我喜欢小刺猬，小刺猬真可爱呀!

Children’s education has been concerned by the public all the time. As they

are the future and will decide a country’s destiny, so the environment matters

so much to them. Most parents expect the school can provide the children a good

learning environment and ignore the importance of home education.

School provides the children a direct stage to receive education. In the

school, the teachers pass knowledge and educate them the right value. The

children know their task and as everybody around them focus the attention on

study, so they are affected by each other and have the strong desire to

learn.

Home education is easy to be ignored by most parents, they think it is the

teachers’ duty to educate children. Actually, most criminal teenagers have

family issues. Parents haven’t set good example for the kids. Sometimes they are

even the trouble makers. Without love, teenagers won’t grow up as the strong

people.

Both school and family environment are important for the children, and they

need to be nurtured with the good examples and learn knowledge.

Almost everybody loves music, because music has its power. It can brings

joy to people when they feel upset. As for me, when I am not happy, I will turn

up the music in my bedroom, singing loudly and shaking my body. As Im immersed

in the music world, I will forget the annoyance and become active again. Music

also brings me the happy memories. Some songs have special meaning for me.

Whenever I hear them, the happy memories will appear in my mind. I feel life is

such wonderful for me. Music is the most beautiful language in the world. It

touches everybodys heart with beautiful rhythm.

炎炎夏日，又到了暑假，像烈火般的太阳正在天空中燃烧。想起想起，我便想起我那充满欢乐的暑假计划了......

今年的暑假，有些与别不同，我决定了今年暑假要学我最爱的乐器——小提琴，我想：一放暑假后，便马上去广州天河去学小提琴，我的同学常常问我：如果用一种材料来做一个小提琴，我会选择用水晶做。的因为水晶十分晶莹剔透，多漂亮啊!!但是，我现在只是初学，不用那麼昂贵的小提琴，所以我现在只买一个‘红棉牌’的小提琴吧，待我长大后，才买它!

另外，有一个很不高兴的事儿要告诉给你们，我的数学考试只有80分和87分，所以妈妈要我到姑姑家去补习，活该!活该!

这个暑假，最令人期待的是我可以到广州的芙蓉嶂游玩，妈妈说：那儿有可以泡温泉，又可以游泳，还可以········听说那儿的风光迷人!

我非常喜欢看《青铜葵花》这本书，这本书主要写了一个哑巴男孩青铜和一个女孩葵花的故事。

青铜是大麦地人，葵花是城里人，因失去妈妈,爸爸便着葵花来到大麦地生活，不幸的是，老天爷闯了祸，让他爸爸淹死了。葵花成了孤儿，可又被最穷的一家——青铜一家给收养了，青铜非常喜欢他的妹妹葵花。

可家里还有许多困难，如蝗灾弄得大麦地寸草不留，所有人都饥饿极了青铜抓鸭子吃;为了看马戏青铜背着葵花一直背了一个晚上......其实这都是青铜对葵花的爱、关心、呵护。

在葵花十二岁时城里人接她回城，城里人再三请求，最后终于被接走，青铜天天晚上躺在草垛上，一天，哑巴青铜居然向着城市的方向大喊：“葵花!”

这个故事的道理是:在困境期间，只要小小而默默的奉献一下，奉献会变成大大的爱。

我非常喜欢有爱心的青铜，也喜欢朴实、善良的一家人。

这个暑假我去外婆家过了半个月。

一到外婆家，发现外婆家的后院变了一个样。后院地面上是平平整整的水泥地，还盖了一排好几间的房子。真是干净整洁!

一天，外公从地里割回来一车的毛豆杆到后院里，正好被我看到，我好奇的跑了过去，想帮忙采毛豆，可又怕里面有虫。。。外公鼓励我说：“没事，不用怕，没有虫的。”

外婆拉我坐下，为我做了个示范。我不以为然：“这有什么难的!简单!还用教吗?”我左手拾起根豆枝，右手揪着毛豆夹，一拉扯，“啪”的一声，毛豆粒掉了出来。我一看——毛豆夹裂了，毛豆粒就掉了出来。原来如此，摘毛豆夹也不简单啊!我虚心的看着外婆摘毛豆。原来外婆摘毛豆时还有小窍门呀，只见她摘下毛豆时，用力逆着拉茎，“啪咔”一声，毛豆夹就离开了枝杆下来了。我学着外婆的样子，逆着拉茎，毛豆一个个下来了，外婆见了直夸我聪明。

我想：一些看似简单的东西其实都有它的难度。我们要虚心，认真，仔细的学习!

这次暑假，我要和爸爸妈妈一起出去野炊一次。我们带好锅、碗、瓢、盆、炉子，和一些准备好的食物、必需品，向新城区的水库边进发。

我们在公共汽车上一路说说笑笑，觉得不一会儿就到了。到的时候还早，我们就一起在水库边的沙滩走了走，还一起堆了一个城堡呢。这时候，快临近11：30了，我们找了个树多的地方，爸爸铺上布，架上火炉，接上气罐里的气，准备开始做饭了。我先把蒸米锅拿出来，放在炉子上，把米放进去，拿出矿泉水倒进去，大概比米高2厘米左右。妈妈要炒菜了。先倒上在家准备好的油，然后把切好的卷心菜放了进去，翻炒了10分钟后把从超市买的熟腊肉丁放了进去，又炒了5分钟后，放上盐，味精，酱油，一盆香喷喷的卷心菜炒腊肉就做好了。放置小盘里。然后拿出矿泉水清洗干净，又重新放到火炉上，哪出洗好的蒜瓣儿，放进去先烹一下，然后拿出清洗好的空心菜，放进去，差不多熟的时候，放上盐，味精，一盘蒜茸空心菜就做好了。然后拿一个干净的盘子，放进去切好的黄瓜段，倒醋，盐，味精，小磨油，搅拌一下，凉拌黄瓜做好了。这时候米也好了，香气逼人的一顿午餐做好了，我们3个人开始大吃起来，真香啊。

怎么样?好玩吧。我多么想再野炊一次啊。

这一次暑假我觉得，真的.很无聊。暑假里，我几乎每天都很无聊，除去出去玩的那几天，可能是我成天在家里的缘故吧，如果这样，我就要成一个真正的“宅男”了，在一个动画片里，一个宅男出门必须还要背一个小房子，就跟蜗牛一样。

我在家里也可不是闲着的，每天都要接受爷爷狂风暴雨一般的“袭击”，为了的只是写一本作业，就算今天的任务完成了好不容易休息一下，又要我写其他的作业，我一般都把写作业的时间用在了跟爷爷“说话”的时间上。

就在不久前，我好不容易出去玩一下，下午四点钟就叫我回了家，还说妈妈已经回来了，我回家后半小时妈妈才回来，他们还说回家吃饭了，我却说：“不是妈妈回来之后才吃的吗?怎么还提早了。”“我们不能先吃啊。”爷爷说。“可是我正在和他们比持久赛的‘决赛’呀!”我说啊!这个暑假真是无聊呀!

“嘿，暑假来了，哼哼，这下可以好好地睡懒觉喽!”我翘着二郎腿心里美滋滋的想着。可谁知……

“嗡嗡、嗡嗡嗡……”闭着眼睛，当我的神智游离在清醒和迷糊的交界处时，这种声音就会清晰地刺透耳膜，紧紧地萦绕在我的头部，忽高忽低，忽近忽远……唉，恼人的蚊子，总来打扰我的清梦。

我迷迷糊糊地抬起手，使足劲儿挥了两下，呵，这声音一下子又不知所踪。于是，我又开始进入昏昏欲睡的境地。然而，渐渐地，渐渐地，“嗡嗡、嗡嗡嗡……”这声音又如影随形般而来。

就这样，反反复复不知折腾了多少次，你说说，这觉还能睡得安稳吗?

不但如此，马路上的声响也吵得我一刻不得安生，不是汽车的“嘀嘀”声，就是行人的嚷嚷声，彼此交错在一起，叫我怎能入眠啊!

好不容易熬过这两关，上下眼皮快支撑不住时，我只等着昏昏沉沉进入梦乡。可冷不防又来了声声霹雳!爸爸下晚班一进家门，就按下了电视机开关，紧接着就传来连续不断的节目声……

唉，睡个好觉咋就这么难呢!

今年暑假我去了连云港、山东滕县、上海玩。要说最难忘的那就非上海之旅莫属了。

7月25日爷爷、奶奶、我和妹妹我们坐火车到一起去上海玩，晚上9：30点火车出发了，10点我们上了中铺睡觉，这是一个不眠之夜，因为我的心情无比激动，对火车外的事物无比好奇。所以火车停时我总想看看到哪了。终于我们坐了7个小时到了上海。我们走出火车站眺望这个这个大上海，我突然有一种强烈的期待。

我们玩的景点里最令我难忘的是星期八小镇，下面我就给大家介绍一下吧。

每位来到星期8小镇的孩子，都可以自由选择自己想要扮演的角色。小镇里有男孩最爱的魔术师、医生、飞行员、消防员、警察、赛车手、工程师、考古学家……也有女孩中意的艺术家、空中小姐、造型师、模特儿、空中小姐、演员、甜点师傅、电视台主播……里面有70多种工作。长大以后，想做什么?现在就可以亲身来体验!我体验了模特儿、空中小姐、造型师、演员、警察等。其中我最喜欢造型师、主持人、空中小姐。

那我就来说说造型师吧!开始工作了，我先穿上工作服。老板拿来洋娃娃给我做道具，我想我给她设计一个什么样的发型呢?我想就给她扎一个马尾辫吧。可是娃娃头发太短了扎不成，于是我想就给娃娃梳两个小辫吧!可是刚扎好挑剔的老板说：“你扎的不好看重扎。”于是我又给娃娃选了一个漂亮的发卡保持原来的头型，这回老板满意了还夸我做的头型简洁漂亮。

接下来我又当了主持人。我们的培训师说：“当播音员应该语言清晰、口齿伶俐，最重要的是要多才多艺。今天你们的任务就是介绍一下自己，表演一段才艺。”我虽然是第一个介绍与表演的，但我毫不逊色，说的非常流利。我用英文介绍了自己的名字和年龄，然后又介绍了爱好和特长。最后我又唱了《夏夜里的萤火虫》，老师夸我大方不怯场。

通过这次体验，我感到了大人工作的辛苦，平常看似简单的工作其实并不简单。我从当造型师那里懂得了做事要认真，还从做播音员那里懂得了一定要多才多艺。

这次上海之旅真让我难忘啊!

spring is the first season of a year . there are there months in spring : morch , april and may , the weather is warm and windy . it rains a lot . the trees turn green and all the flowers are coming ont . in spring, i can wear my shirts . i often plant trees and go hiking . so i like spring very much . of course , i like the spring festival , too .

好不容易等到了暑假，今天我回家了，在这里，我们参观了这里的纪念馆，还要爬山抓鱼，真有趣啊!

我们中国当时社会准备在山脚下的一个国家饭店吃饭，因为人服务还没有到齐，所以需要我们可以果断的到了自己前面的一条小河里面抓鱼。河水进行特别的清澈，都能见到水底，而且河面特别的宽，水也并不是影响很深，只有四十厘米左右，水中同时还有就是好多成群结对的小鱼在游来游去，自由生活自在的。

我和我的朋友脱下鞋子和袜子，用平腿抓住鱼。水很凉，水里的小鱼毫不畏惧地游在腿边，这时我就留下了捉鱼的念头，我把手伸进水里，想等小鱼把自己钩住。终于等到一条小鱼靠近，我一拳结果小鱼很快就游开了，我试了几次还是没有，小鱼反应太快了!

时间很快就过去了，大家经过这里，我们去吃饭，看着水和鱼，不舍去。

今天是我最开心的一天了，你知道为什么吗?因为我妈妈昨晚同意今天带我去南京玩了(她可是好不容易才同意的!!!)我们现在正在开车呢!妈妈说到南京还是得需要花上三个多小时的时间，我们就在车里等了等，时间就像飞箭，三个小时过的好快啊!

我们总算到了，我们先来到了柠卡王国，我们先当了消防员，消防员叔叔先和我们讲了一些消防知识,之后给我们穿上了消防服,下面就要进行令我最兴奋的时刻了，我们准备上消防车去灭火了!可是，当我知道想上车必须得抱着柱子滑下去，顿时，我的心里就像有了一块大石头一样，一直压着我!就算我不敢下去，我还是得假装敢下去，因为这里没有比我更小的人了。我只能先抱着柱子滑下去了，我心里的石头总算没了!我们总算上消防车了，感觉真不错,到了那里之后，我就带上消防帽，拿起消防拴我就灭火了。

玩完了，我们准备回去了，晚上八点，终于到了家!

Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

observable phenomena in nature and with establishing theories that serve to

organize these facts and relationships; technology has to do with

tools,techniques, and procedures for implementing the findings of science.

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

progress in each. Progress in science excludes the human factor. Scientists, who

seek to comprehend the universe and know the truth with the highest degree of

accuracy and certainty, cannot pay heed to their own or other peoples likes or

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

even an unpleasant truth is more than likely to be useful; besides, we have the

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?
