A Visit to the Flower Show

Last week Nature Park held a flower show. I went to visit it with my friends. I was very glad to see so many beautiful flowers in the park. I was really amazed to see a sea of colourful

flowers. They told me that some rare flowers came from Taiwan. Thousands of people stopped and watched them carefully. I took many pictures there. Taiwan has always been a part of our country. I am sure sooner or later we can go there to see many more beautiful flowers. What great fun it will be.

Such a movie called “Growing Pains” seems full of knowledge and experience.

So it does because all of us have growing pains and also growing gains in our

lives.

Growing up is not a very enjoyable time. It means I have to work hard in

studying and in family. There’s always so much homework given by teachers and so

many arguments between the parents and me. The time is fair, but it seems it

gives pains three quarters and only one quarter to gains.

But gains give me power and confidence. Successes and friendship make me

happy and enjoyable. We played with snow in the winter that seldom snows, we

flew kites in the night that usually belongs to homework, we ate several ice

creams that almost made us cold. We picked up leaven that no longer high up!

Although pains are always more than gains, I believe both of them make my

life more colorful.

My father is a great person. He is a hero in my heart. He is tall but not strong. He is a driver.

He often talks a litte and seems that he is serious. Actually, sometimes he is real serious. In my memory, he never hits me except once.

It is because I ignored their forbidding to go swimming in the river alone. I was so sad as my father hit me.

爸爸出生于一个贫困的小山村。爸爸有三个姐姐。那时家里经济条件困难，无法同时供养四个人读书，于是爸爸的大姐和二姐—读完小学就辍学了，在家帮爷爷奶奶干农活。爸爸就开始了读书生涯。

在小学的时候爸爸的成绩一向优异，理所当然的进了当地有名的中学。当读初中的录取通知书被敲锣打鼓送到家里时，爸爸的初中生活就开始了。

爸爸刚上初中有些厌学，成绩曾一落千丈，被爷爷知道了，爷爷没有骂他，而是告诉他：如果你想跳出农村就要读书，读书是你唯一的出路。所以爸爸决定要发奋读书。

初中三年爸爸很努力的读书，付出了许多，也收获了许多。初中三年他年年获奖。他也当了三年的班长。爸爸的脑子很灵活，所以老师讲的他很容易听进去。当然爸爸也很勤快。

学校前面有一个很大的茶场，满山坡都种满了茶叶树。到了摘茶叶的季节，学校便组织爸爸他们去采摘茶叶，以便勤工俭学。爸爸很勤快，采得一点儿也不比女同学少。老师经常表扬他。有时爸爸他们也去捡茶子去榨油。因为茶子长在树上，所以爸爸经常爬树，身体也是很好。

学校附近有一个林场，学校组织同学们去栽树，爸爸他们从家里带来锄头，穿套鞋。步行几里路到山上去栽树。一到山坡上，爸爸他们有的搬树苗，有的拿着锄头挖坑，有的拿着铁锹铲土，还有的拿着水桶到河边打水。他们干得热火朝天，汗流满面也顾不上擦。就这样干了几个小时，终于干完了。

冬天到了，大雪纷飞，漫天雪花，爸爸踩着厚厚的积雪，盯着刺骨的寒风，去上学。到了学校，同学们早已在教室里读书了。爸爸虽然也在读书，但是他的心早已飞往雪中了。下课了，爸爸如同一只离弦的箭一般冲了出去。操场上厚厚的一片积雪上爸爸他们正在打雪仗、堆雪人、扑‘雪菩萨’……爸爸说“还是打雪仗最好玩”有一次爸爸把一个石头包在雪球里打出去，结果打到了一个同学的牙齿，打掉了两个门牙。因此爸爸被骂了一顿。现在想起也很愧疚。

午休时，爸爸与几个同学去到学校附近的山岭去爬山，上山的路崎岖不平，很陡峭。爸爸他们上山时摔了好几跤，不过爸爸没有退缩，他们上了山，发现山的后面是一个水库，水面如同一面镜子，微风吹来，爸爸觉得很轻爽于是便坐了下来。过了许久，他们下山了。

初中三年，爸爸经常被老师叫去参加比赛，他也经常获奖。有一次，爸爸被雨淋湿了，他决定通过自己的努力买一把油布伞。不久后，爸爸参加了一个作文比赛，得了二等奖，他获得了一把油布伞。那把伞至今还在我家里。

初中三年爸爸过得很充实，也很快乐。现在回想起来，记忆犹新。

这就是爸爸的初中生活！

Amongall means of transportation, I like bicycle most. Its cheap as well aspopular.

Thereare many advantages to ride the bicycle. In the first place, riding bicycle makesme feel independent. I can go anywhere by bicycle. Especially during rushhours, I can still move freely. Secondly, using a bicycle is good forenvironment protection, because it wont emit any waste gas. Moreover, bicycle ridingis also a good sport. While riding a bicycle, I can exercise myself, which ishealthful to me.

Inmy free time, I often ride my bicycle to get around in the downtown area or inthe countryside, so as to relax myself. Its really a nice outdoor activity forme, I think.
