我初中的学业是在角墩中学完成的，学校离家不远，位于姜家、角墩、茅家之间，从我家出发，走过一条横亘在东河的土坝，越过第一生产队方整田中的羊肠小道，便到了学校，也就是十几分钟的时间。学校只有一排教学楼，包括教室、办公室，伙房在这排房子的东首，主要供住在学校的老师用餐。我们在校时，校长是丁文兴，班主任是杭旭东，数学老师是陈友山，其他老师的名字已记不清了，五个学期，二年半时间，学业不紧，只凭各人的兴趣,但班主任兼语文老师杭旭东抓得忒紧，最特别的是一周一次的作文，誉写时要用毛笔，其它就可见一斑了。

初中毕业，大多数家境不好以及不愿再读书的同学,都选择了回家务农或学门手艺，家境好的和想读书的则选择上高中。但上高中不是单凭学习成绩或自己的一厢意愿，而是由所在地的贫下中农推荐，要求出身要好，根正苗红，每个村由由学校分配几个名额，由各个村推荐。我爷爷是现行反革命，理所当然不在推荐范围之内，尽管心中涌动着强烈的求学欲望，也只能望简历兴叹。

父母亲并未因未能推荐上而过度气愤，家境太穷，老小太多，多个劳动力，就能多挣点工分，减轻他们的一点负担，奶奶也是唠叨不止：满肚的文章不能充饥，力止入学。面对家庭的窘境，面对社会的不公，当时的我心中充满了无可奈何的悲愤。

山穷水尽疑无路的我，一天傍晚，又见柳暗花明又一村，班主任兴冲冲来到我家。堂屋左首靠着山板放着一张旧方桌，桌上的煤油灯发出昏暗的红光，老师坐在上首，父亲坐在对面，我则站在房里，外面的谈话听得一清二楚。杭老师讲：角墩有位同学，有个推荐名额，但他自己不想上，我把这个名额争取到了，希望你们能从孩子的前途着想，让孩子上学。父亲布满皱纹的脸上，始终挂着淡淡的微笑，面对事情的突然变更，两难的父亲最终还是答应了老师，我理解父亲，本来企盼孩子能对处于困境的家庭有一点帮助，但孩子的前途啊，他的一辈子，尽管前途未卜？家庭的重负，还是由我们做父母的来承受吧！伟大的父亲就是凭着这份坚韧，任劳任怨地应对着生活的各种磨难，把一个个孩子培养成人。感谢你父亲！感谢你恩师！
